The Democrats in WI have just been nailed

There is a lot of talk about the actions of the Republicans in Wisconsin last night. Right now the democratic Senators are announcing that they are returning today since the bill is already passed.

But it hits me that once they are back in the other session, what is to stop the Republicans from bringing up the bill that was already passed in the house for a vote? Once they are in the chamber the vote can take place and all the fuss about “late night pushing of stuff” or “separation of the bill” would be moot wouldn’t it?

I think it’s a great question, does anyone have an answer?

  1. My advice to the WI R(s) would be to enforce the law created by last night’s vote and be done with it. The Donkey party needs to receive the message conservatives no longer employ a policy of unilaterally disarmament on parliamentary gamesmanship. That means pursue the recalls of the Fleebagger 14, too. There’s a big fight ahead on the road to so-called “civil discourse.” The Left started it, and conservatives had better mean to finish it.

Slight clarification – the Senate moved on the Assembly-passed version (AB11) last night in such a way that it cannot be modified (i.e. they convened a conference committee and passed a version out of it before it went to the Senate).

Things may be different for bills in special session, but if things are as they are for a regular session, they do have their own version (SB11) that already received a third reading and thus cannot be amended until and unless it reaches the Assembly. Of course, the Assembly took 60 hours to pass their version the first time.

As for any need to bring the original bill back up, there really isn’t any. The conference amendment does fix the budget hole, and it snaps the incetuous relationship between the Rats and the public unions.

The second one Democrat is in the room, republicans have their needed quorum. Lock the doors and vote on the original bill, as is. Presto!

Have you read the email that someone sent to all of the republican senators? A very explicit and chilling death threat for all of them and their families. DOJ is reportedly investigating. Gateway pundit has a copy posted.

The bill is now approved in the assembly and on the way to the Governor. Maybe now the protesters will load their union busses and go back to Chicago and New York.

Next step: the WI taxpayer will pay overtime to still more unionites to clean up the place (last check — the bill will exceed $8 million).

Then the state can all finally begin a brighter future.

Republicans have NEVER done a thing for Wisconsin except to lose jobs everytime they could. The people of Wi are quiet people and this is why the Republicans thought they could screw them. The Gov hasn’t got the intelligence to manage anyone and he will take his buddies down with him . Don’t think the elephants aren’t worried about their jobs. If the brothers haven’t promised them jobs, they might be having a hard time paying the bills for themselves and the girlfriends. This man who didn’t have the stuff to finish college even with his “C” average -must be getting even with the teachers because he failed. Republicans did the same in Mich. Namely Mitt’s daddy with his trickle down ideas. If these aren”t Nazi(got rid of bargaining rights) ideas and under the nobilities of Germany, you had to be wealthy to be educated and it was against the law to be educated if you weren’t. I like the firefighters action,a few more businessees and banks should be listed, so others can participate.
