That was a surprise

Yesterday when I dialed in to make my weekly Unemployment Telecert a message came up saying it was out of order. I figured this would mean a long wait to get through today it was up. Imagine my surprise when I got through on the first try today.

Speaking of surprises I’ve been going through the bills, we seem to be keeping up pretty good. I’m not saving anything or putting anything aside for Christmas as I normally do but I’m also not spending very much at all. Since I’ve allocated almost everything to bills the bills are not only being kept up but are getting ahead. If I can keep this level of spending down once I’m employed it will make a huge difference come College tuition time.

Hopefully all of this will be moot in a few weeks or less. We will see how tomorrow’s nibble goes.

Forgetting the morality of it…

It hits me that is this isn’t some kind of hoax that 3.7 million put into a series of 13 bank accounts at 3% will earn $111,000 annually.

Even if taxes eat up say 30% that’s still 2.59 mil at 3% That still $77,700 a year. One person can live a comfortable life off that easy.

This likely means that if the bidding goes no higher then Ms Dylin will never have to work for the rest of her life depending on the lifestyle she chooses.

Of course if this does happen then it will be emulated and the going price would likely shrink. So we will see if this becomes a growth industry.

This is a funny suggestion but a waste of funds:

Is she promising to have sex with the highest bidder, or is she promising to let that person “take her virginity”?

If it’s the latter, some enterprising abstinence group should buy the option and then refuse to exercise it. I bet that’d make for a fun contract dispute after she figured out what happened.

That would sell tickets at Court TV.

College Tour Time Anna Maria in Paxton

My oldest has arranged for a tour of Anna Maria College in Paxton Mass. tomorrow.

With employment still not in place, no takers on the eBay support, Fafsa saying I need to put in 25k in cash a year and a college fund that has lost 33% of its value in the last 12 months. The options are very limited grades not withstanding.

Anna Maria has the best aid offer of the 6 or so colleges that have already accepted him so far. Short of Fitchburg State that gives them the inside track. I’m partial to any college that offers daily mass.

That will likely mean not a lot of blogging tomorrow.

Well the eBay stuff is still going slow but I have another job interview tomorrow. Lets see if my luck can get any better.

Even if it doesn’t work out its an excuse to visit Mighty Subs, so I can’t lose.
