Paul Crewe: Hey Pop, the time you hit Hazen in the mouth, was it worth 30 years?

Pop: Yeah: For me it was.

The Longest Yard 1974

Last week I filled up my gastank at $4.009 a gallon.

The $4 barrier was a big shock as gas had plummeted during the 2nd Trump term to a point where I had paid $2.56 just before the start of the war with Iran. That had saved me a lot of money and it showed.

I had hoped that things would be over before a final oil delivery but it was not and my oil delivery cost considerably more than I had budgeted, fortunately my prepay had still covered it so the impact wasn’t as bad as it could have been.

With my job about to end this week after 10 years these additional costs are a real strain on the family budget and I imagine that for people who are less careful with their money, which I imagine is most people, the gas increase is a matter of real pain.

Gas is now $4.27 everywhere as we start getting fuel that was traded on markets at the top of the spikes.

It’s a real concern not just financially but politically because the cost of gas increases the cost of everything else and the Democrats who didn’t say boo when gas prices were like this during the Biden years are making hay of it all.

Every incentive both personal for me and political for conservatives in election 2026 screams for things in Iran to end yesterday.

But when it comes down to it, none of that matters, because this is a defining moment for the country and the world.

For 47 years the Islamists in Iran have been the number one source of murder and terror in the world and have exported this terror to almost every corner of the planet. Thousands of Americans and tens of thousands of others have lost their lives become of their direct actions over this time. They have been the delivery system for all our enemies who want us dead. For 47 years they have chanted “Death to America” and I’ve never for one moment thought they didn’t mean it.

America had opportunities to stop this. Reagan, could have gone in regardless of the Hostage release but was dealing with the cold War. Bush one didn’t want to upset Arab allies as he dealt with Iraq. Clinton was more interested in not getting booted, Bush two who actually had Iran surrounded on three sides never pulled the trigger and Barack Obama, It’s my opinion that he’s been on Iran’s side from the very beginning of his presidency and into his 3rd term running the autopen man.

The single greatest thing Donald Trump can do for the United States and for the World is removing the Islamic Republic from the face of the earth.

  • It will save countless lives, free the people of Iran from the terror they’ve lived under.
  • It will destroy terror networks and connections that will take our foes years to rebuild.
  • It will change the face of the middle east permanently giving an incentive for Israel’s neighbors to make peace
  • It will deprive both Russia & China of a proxy used to attack us and intimidate others
  • And it will deprive Islamists of a nuclear device (at least until England and France fall)

All of these gains are stacked against a tighter belt for me and mine.

There is no contest.

I hate where Gas prices are, but if they reach $5 and Iran falls this year, it’s worth it.

If the economy slows because of the increase in gas prices, but Iran falls this year, it’s worth it.

And if the Democrat left, which I suspect is doing all it can to encourage Iran to hold out actually wins both houses of congress because of this war, but Iran falls IT’S STILL WORTH IT!

All of those things me a harder life for me in the short term, but a better life for my sons and myself and the entire world in the long term.

About 85 years ago my father found himself in the Pacific fighting a war for the world’s survival while at home my ancestors on both my mother and fathers side did without in order to support that effort until it was won. Because of their sacrifices I lived in a safer world in freedom.

You and I are being asked to do the same but on a much smaller scale and with a lot less pain.

Let’s be worthy of those who came before us.

Mr. President, fight this war to win. I know the world will not thank you for it, in fact they will publicly curse you for it and teach others to do so. A generation of idiots (outside of Iran itself) who already hate you will hate you more. The Europeans whose oil supply you will scorn you and don’t even think of the Nobel Prize that you had earned for your actions of the past year.

They will attack you for the rest of your life and dance upon your grave with you go to face your maker. They will live to do it in freedom and security.

But even as they do all of these things, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that the freedom, security & even the lives that they spend mocking you, will have been a gift you have freely given them asking nothing in return.

That’s one great legacy.

Tom Hagen: Right now we have the unions and we have the gambling and those are the best things to have. But narcotics is a thing of the future. If we don’t get a piece of that action we risk everything we have. Not now, but ten years from now.

Detective Gregory: Is there any other point to which you would wish to draw my attention?

Sherlock Holmes: To the curious incident of the dog in the night-time.

Detective Gregory: The dog did nothing in the night-time.

Sherlock Holmes: That was the curious incident.

Arthur Conan Doyle: The Adventure of Silverblaze 1896

It is ironic that the day the death of the excellent actor Robert Duval who famously played among other parts Tom Hagan a spectacular example of the Tom Hagen math that Democrats are following was presented.

To remind you of what the Tom Hagen Math is let me quote my piece from 10 years ago when I coined the term:

Right now the left has the Gays and the Transgenders and the Hollywood elites & media in which they are overrepresented and they figure that’s the best things to have, but in America Islam is a thing of the future.  In 20 years the children of Muslims now being raised on the tenets of Sharia law in America will be old enough to vote and Democrats going to make sure they get those votes when the time come, not now but 10-20 years from now.

DaTechGuy June 16th 2016

I bring this up because of a tweet that Congressman Randy Fine sent out in response to this screen captured tweet by Nerdeen Kiswani

Since then Fine has been pilloried by democrats across the board calling him a “bigot” & “disgusting” for that statement. Many are from sitting members of congress to wit:

Ro Khanna:

Rep Eric Swalwell

and of course AOC:

All of these statements of outrage by elected Democrats and all the ones I have seen as of this moment: (5:39 AM EST 2/17/26) have two things in common, both are items of omission.

  1. None of those replies Deny that Muslims will take away your dogs if given power
  2. None of those replies Deny that Democrats will support them if they try to do so.

Now I would think that saying: “Muslims aren’t coming for your dogs!” and “We will not let anyone take away your dogs!” would be a rather easy things for Democarts to say, so why are they not saying it?

The answer is the Tom Hagen math:

Right now the left has the Gays and the Transgenders and the Hollywood elites & media in which they are overrepresented and they figure that’s the best things to have, but in America Islam is a thing of the future.  In 20 years the children of Muslims now being raised on the tenets of Sharia law in America will be old enough to vote and Democrats going to make sure they get those votes when the time come, not now but 10-20 years from now.

Democrats who have spent generations aborting & or spaying their own kids will do nothing or say nothing that might cause the one group in their circles that are having children who will group up and vote and if it mean you lose your dog that’s a price they’re willing to pay for votes & power.

It’s business and simple math.

Oh and for the record if you have a life or death situation between a dog & a human ANY human I favor the human every time.

REAL “Islamophobia” in Action

One of the favorite charges of the left against the right when we warn about radical Islam ( or as others would phrase it: “Islam” ) are charges of “Islamophobia”.

Adding “phobia” to the end of words has been a cottage industry for the left to attack any person who disagrees with them. Don’t want drag queens twerking at kids you’re “Transphobic”, etc etc etc It’s gotten so bad that at a school in my own state, a trans kid was found with a hit list and is being allowed to stay in school and parents and students who object are being hit in this way.

But from the moment we discovered the idents of the men who put jets into the twin towers the left has trotted out the term “Islamophobia” for anyone who raises any objection to terrorist actions perpetuated by the Religion of PeaceTM which suggests that any fear of radical Islam is unfounded. This is despite the fact that in the month of March of this year alone there were over 150 terror attacks by Muslims in 22 different countries that killed 772 and wounded 668 which included 7 suicide attacks. They are part of the 45,160 deadly attacks since Sept 11th 2001 that they have perpetuated.

What I find particularly amusing about these charges of “Islamophobia” (which has since become such a common word that it now appears in auto-corrects) is that while they are generally leveled by the left against the right the single best examples of it today are in fact on the left among people of the left that are in authority.

Take the campus “protests” and “occupations” taking place all over the US. In states where the right are in power the law is being enforced and any such protests are not allowed to cross legal lines without consequences and even beyond the campus when such “protestors” supporting the genocidal Islamic terror group Hamas attempt to block streets not only are they arrested but there are laws in some states that allow drivers who are blocked by such protestors to continue driving putting all the risks of being in the road on them.

Yet in blue states such protests are allowed to block major throughways with little or no consequences to the point were police are ordered to protect such folks from angered drivers. Why? Because those in power are afraid of said protestors targeting them and fear for their own safety if they do.

In other words they have a “phobia” of these people protesting in the name of Islam.

“But DaTechGuy” you counter. “Isn’t this just the Democrats trying to appease angry Muslims in Michigan in order to keep Trump from winning the state?”

That’s a fair point, although one might call that a “phobia” too but it doesn’t explain what is happening in England where police have actually detained Jews for being openly Jewish on public streets while “protestors” violate existing laws on assembly and speech while at the same time rigorously enforcing said laws on people who pray silently at abortion clinics or post an opinion online that the left finds offensive.

That doesn’t have anything to do with the election in America, that has to do with the Brits knowing that if they confront terror supporters they will fight back violently because they didn’t heed the warnings of those who said such folks are a danger to let in.

In short if you want to look at people who are suffering from “Islamophobia” look at our friends on the left because this fear is driving their inaction all over the world, and most importantly, despite the use of the term in question this fear is entirely rational.

Hacom: Reger, these are young men. They are not old enough to be excused.
Reger: They’re visitors.
Hacom: Well, have they no Lawgivers in the Valley? Why be they not at the Festival?
Captain Kirk [in local dress]: We heard that you might have rooms for us.
Reger: There. You see, Hacom? They’ve merely come looking for a place to rest afterwards.
Hacom: The Red Hour has already struck.
Tamar: Hacom, these be strangers. The Valley has different ways.
Hacom: Do you say that Landru is not everywhere?
Tamar: No, of course not. It’s simply they may have different ways.

Star Trek The Return of the Archons 1967

We all have pet peeves in our life, my wife hates when I leave lights on (I like to see) and I hate pans left inside of pans on stoves while DaWife is all for it. But this article title hit a serious Pet Peeve of mine concerning war:

I Am Furious About the Relentless Anti-Israel Propaganda

Now the article itself by David Strom is better than the title. It talks about the relentless propaganda by the left, and by universities and by Hamas attacking Israel and he expresses his disgust thus:

But the truth is that very little of the criticism aimed at Israel is even remotely rational or motivated by anything but anti-Western or antisemitic hate, and I am sick and tired of it. And I am just as disturbed by the media’s spreading of that propaganda with far too little skepticism.

Words have meaning. Actions have context. Hamas is objectively evil.

While I share Mr. Strom’s support of Israel and his analysis of Hamas I’ve got to say none of this infuriates me.

Why? Two basic reasons.

First Hamas and the Arab World have been spreading propaganda about Israel from almost the moment of its creation, in fact there is a rather famous intercept from the 1967 War with Nasser pretty much blackmailing Jordan into joining the war and discussing how to spin the destruction of the Arab air forces. Falsehoods and lies are a basic tactic in Muslim Arab culture even to their own people (There are generations of Egyptians who have been taught since their birth that the 1973 war with Israel was a resounding victory).

Second and most importantly: This is war.

Right now Hamas is fighting for it’s very survival, they had no idea that Israel would respond in the way that they did and the people who cheered on Hamas on October 7th and rushed into Israel to steal what they could had no idea that they would be reduced to living in tents because of these actions.

The Qataris and the Iranians who are financing Hamas didn’t see this coming either. They’re happy to fund proxy efforts (Iran with the help of Obama’s pallets of Cash and Biden’s moves to push up oil prices) but don’t dare let the war touch themselves. If Israel decided to strike Qatar they would last about 30 seconds and Iran understands that a direct assault on Israel could give them the casus belli for a counterstrike that could contain a nuclear component to end the Mullahs once and for all.

So naturally they use the best cards they have in their hand which are playable.

For Iran and Qatar it’s money and that money is wisely spent on buying academics and media who are easily bought and pushing a narrative. There are plenty of Muslims in Europe and the US who don’t like Jews and would be happy to see them dead but without the ability or strength to legally slaughter the Jews in their midst they’ll settle for intimidation and vandalism and the spreading of propaganda across regular and social media until such a time in the future when their numbers grow to the point when they can can openly slaughter them.

For the far left which has been aborting and neutering their own children and encouraging other to do the same, they’ll welcome the additional number sure in the idea that it will be a generation or more before they are strong enough to take action against the gays, transgenders and libertines which the Arabs despise. (And if it means some Jewish leftists are demoted from Useful idiots to simply idiots to be discarded so be it).

For Hamas it’s the hostages. As long as Hamas holds them or can be thought of as holding them they have a card they can use to delay and disrupt Israel both in the field and on the home front, so no matter how much understandable outrage one might hold over the barbarity of holding hostages, especially women & children I’m not phased or shocked over their doing so because for them that’s the best card they have.

This is war, a game of life and death that is played to win, I’m not outraged about the Arabs playing the game in the way they see fit nor am I outraged over them saying one thing in Arabic to their own people and another to people in the west with different customs and standards. That’s what drives me nuts. This is not our culture, it’s not our standards. This is what the Arab/Muslim world is, it’s what it’s always been, it’s what they’ve been doing for decades and what people like Pam Geller and Robert Spencer and Brigitte Gabriel have warned the west repeatedly about. It’s not a secret and we should not be shocked and outraged that they act as they do.

If you want to be outraged, be outraged about the people who either through ignorance or expedience fall for or pretend to fall for it for cash, or fame or acceptance or even fear.

That’s something to be outraged about.

Instead think of how to counter it and act accordingly.
