The military OPHOLDs are here!

Truth be told, I thought it would be towards the end of the year. Guess I was wrong. Remember my list of “things the military does to fix numbers?”

  1. Not kicking people out for physical fitness test failures
  2. Waiving darn near everything, from age to non-violent felonies
  3. Asking people to pretty-please stay around a few more years
  4. Opening OCS and other admissions
  5. Raising bonuses
  6. Make life better for officers
  7. Reduce opportunities to leave early
  8. Op-Hold people
-Me!

Pepperidge Farm remembers too. That last bullet says OPHOLD, which means the military says “You know how we said we’d let you go? Yeah, about that…” Or, in meme form:

Now, while today’s story isn’t a true OPHOLD…it’s basically the same. The Army allowed officers that commissioned as aviators to serve two different requirements concurrently (as in, at the same time), then it said “actually, we meant to say consecutively,” and is now telling these officers they owe three more years of service. Up unitl that point, the Army’s HR department was telling officers that it was totally concurrent…until it wasn’t.

Previously, officials with Army Human Resources Command treated the flight school commitment as a contractual obligation, the letter said. That policy allowed officers to simultaneously serve it alongside their three-year branch of choice obligation and thus immediately resign six years after receiving their pilot’s wings, if they wished.

“We went back and we did kind of audit all of those out there,” he said. The general cautioned that the service is still “refining” the number of officers, estimated at “a little over 600.” They now can’t leave immediately after finishing their flight school commitment.

From Army Times

Whoopsie! Our bad! Sorry to majorly screw up your life!

I’m sure plenty of HR officers will be disciplined for this…said no sane person ever.

Here’s the crux though…the Army needs these officers more than the officers need the Army. Aviation is a difficult skillset that can’t be easily acquired. The Army seems to believe it’ll just order these officers to fly and they’ll just fly. That’s a Communist way of thinking about it…we tell people what to do and they just do it.

In America, you have to compete for skills, and if someone doesn’t want to provide their skills, there is little you can do about it. I predict that we’ll see the following behaviors:

  1. A lot of aviators will smoke weed in the hopes of being kicked out. This, ironically, might make the Army legalize the substance.
  2. Plenty of officers will begin having “headaches” or other symptoms that stops them from flying. A few sharp officers will conveniently fly enough to stay off the radar, but do little else. The Army will either have to punish them, which could result in dismissal and them leaving when they wanted, or relax the medical rules and put expensive aircraft at risk.

No one will outright strike…that would be a stupid move. Instead, people will deny the Army the use of their skills, and the Army’s aviation effectiveness will drop. On paper, the Army will look OK, but the force will be hollow, and it’ll simply be a matter of time before the Army fails against one of our adversaries.

This post represents the views of the author and not those of the Department of Defense, Department of the Navy, or any other government agency.

Ever since Joe Biden was installed in the White House his handlers have worked tirelessly to continue Barack Obama’s fundamental transformation of the United States into a third world toilet.  They are continuing Obama’s modus operandi of using massively Unconstitutional Executive Orders.

The panic created by unceasing climate change propaganda and indoctrination has provided a remarkably effective vehicle to convince a significant percentage of the population that this transformation is necessary.  This indoctrination has also convinced the same segment of the population that a fundamental transformation to Marxism is necessary because they have been misled into believing that socialism is superior to capitalism.

This past week Joe Biden issued an Executive Order that would infect each and every Executive Branch agency with Environmental Justice.  Here are the details of that loathsome Executive Order.

Deepen the Biden-Harris Administration’s whole-of-government commitment to environmental justice. The new Executive Order makes clear that the pursuit of environmental justice is a duty of all executive branch agencies and should be incorporated into their missions. It also affirms that environmental justice is central to the implementation of our bedrock civil rights and environmental laws.

The Executive Order is part of the Biden-Harris Administration’s whole-of-government effort to confront longstanding environmental injustices and inequities. For far too long, communities across our country have faced persistent environmental injustice through toxic pollution, underinvestment in infrastructure and critical services, and other disproportionate environmental harms often due to a legacy of racial discrimination including redlining. These communities with environmental justice concerns face even greater burdens due to climate change.

This Executive Order is unconstitutional because it reaches down to each and every American citizen, not just those who work for the Executive Agencies.  There was no legislation passed that authorized this insanity.  Also the Constitution does not grant the federal government the authority to legislate in these particular areas.

From these next passages you can see how much Marxism would be injected into every aspect of life in this country by the Executive order.

Better protect overburdened communities from pollution and environmental harms. The Executive Order directs agencies to consider measures to address and prevent disproportionate and adverse environmental and health impacts on communities, including the cumulative impacts of pollution and other burdens like climate change.

Strengthen engagement with communities and mobilize federal agencies to confront existing and legacy barriers and injustices. Communities with environmental justice concerns have long experienced exclusion and other significant barriers to having a voice in federal decision-making. The Executive Order recognizes this reality and that racism is a fundamental driver of environmental injustice. It directs agencies to actively facilitate meaningful public participation and just treatment of all people in agency decision-making.

This next Biden Executive Order would completely cripple the economy of the United States.

The Biden administration is reportedly finalizing a proposal set to substantially reduce emissions from fossil fuel-fired power plants or require them to use costly carbon capture technology.

Expected to be released by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) soon, the proposal mandates coal- and natural gas-fired power plants to cut or capture the majority of their carbon dioxide emissions by 2040, marking the first-ever federal action to curb power plant emissions.

I am generally an optimist.  Unfortunately these recent transformations by the Biden Regime really have me worried.  It is beginning to look like the United States may not survive two more years of this nonsense.

…out draws Fox, CNN & MSNBC

and it won’t be “unexpectedly” either.

Fox News Abrupt dismissal of Tucker Carlson for the crime of attracting the largest audience in cable for 100 weeks straight was a bit of a shock to many people. It just goes to show you that when the guy running the show is worth 11 billion something that will cost one of his companies tens of millions doesn’t phase him.

The only question left is this: Will a network like the one that grabbed Cuomo rush to grab him (which would be very smart) , or will he go podcasting? Or will he decide that hey I’m going to be paid $20 mil to do nothing for the next year maybe I’ll buy a few pinball machines and just relax for a few months, maybe watch some baseball?

Sorry Tucker all my Dynasty leagues are full.

On the same day that Tucker Carlson was handed his walking papers the same was done to Don Lemon.

The number of people who will notice compared to Carlson is minimal and has to be the biggest ego hit involved.

I don’t know Lemon’s contract nor do I know what his prospects are but apparently even in this society being a gay black man isn’t enough to guarantee you immunity from your own imcompetence.

And cripes if Carlson can get fired for being successful Lemon can go for being his namesake.

Speaking of lemons who should be fired the Joe Biden campaign for 2024 officially launched with a recorded video because of course old Joe can’t be trusted to make a live anouncement.

As I said yesterday it’s going to be tough to sell stealing an election for this guy but they also can’t risk a Bernie or a RFK being the nominee so here’s what I think will happen.

My prediction? Democrats will protect Joe Biden like the apple of their eye but once the nomination is locked and the convention finished the powers that actually run this administration will regretfully announce that he’s taken a nasty “fall” or old age will catch up to him peacefully in his sleep or his chopper will suddenly have a mechanical failure over water, but somehow when election day rolls around there will be a different face on the ballot when it comes down to election day.

I’m old enough to remember when that kind of thing would be a conspiracy theory that I’d never entertain.

Robert Spencer has announced that Warner Brothers in celebration of their 100th anniversary is going to be making mini remakes of classic movies from their past, in Warner’s own words:

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Warner Bros. Studios, the Warner Bros. Discovery’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team today unveiled plans for a short film series that reimagines the Studio’s iconic films through a diverse and inclusive lens. Six filmmakers have been selected to develop and shoot 20-minute short film adaptions bringing a modern lens to the classic Warner Bros. titles A Star is Born, The Adventures of Robin Hood, Calamity Jane, Jack and the Beanstalk, The Prince and the Pauper and Rebel Without a Cause, with representative casting, storytelling and narrative.

I thought this might be a Babylon bee thing but it’s not. Robert Opines:

The Bounding Into Comics site on Thursday pinpointed exactly what is so horrifying about the Warner Bros. plan: “After all, there’s nothing like celebrating your own history by attempting to appease those who unapologetically hate everything about it.” Or as investigative journalist Daniel Greenfield put it, “With diverse versions of the X-Files, the Little Mermaid and King of the Hill on their way, why not enjoy some butchered classics with more exclusively inclusive and diverse (no white people, please) casting?” No white people indeed seem to be the objective. We’re certain to see “people of color” cast in some, if not all, of the key roles, after the manner of Netflix’s new black Cleopatra. But who knows? There are likely to be gay and trans characters in abundance as well.

Are these people trying to Budlight themselves or what?

Finally we see that some kind of woke Memo has gone out to corporate America concerning mother’s day:

and the list is growing. David Strum opines

What’s particularly fascinating is that this is clearly coordinated somehow. Nothing like this arises organically.

So: who? I have no idea, except that it is likely some alphabet-person movement.

Why? This is easy: there is a widespread movement to destroy the family.

And, as you can see, corporate America has joined the fight. On the wrong side, of course.

Hey didn’t Joe Biden just say our kids belonged to all of us? So let’s cut Mom out of the picture.

I swear Budlight has become a verb because all these folks are making a huge mistake.
