Damian Thompson embeds this video by Evan Coyne Maloney . Watch the astounding video:

Thompson is dead on:

But the best part of the film is listening to the naive garbage that Maloney persuaded Obama supporters to spout a few months ago. Already, it seems as dated as the euphoria surrounding Jimmy Carter’s election.

This is still a religion I’m still with Abe on this one:

“Don’t kneel to me, That is not right. You must kneel to God only.”

MMMM MMMM MMMM!

Update: And is poll numbers aren’t so hot either MMMM MMMM MMMM

Update 2: Chris Muir knows a religion when he sees one.

Baldilocks: (Proudly banned from lgf) has today’s must read post concerning her almost crossing a line when dealing with a member of the the Obamacult:

After biting my tongue—almost literally—I pointed out that if he didn’t want to get criticized that he should not have run for president. She agreed, then pointed out that Jesus had been criticized(!)

I quickly asserted that, contrary to some opinions, he was not Jesus, and then took the conversation to the place that had initiated my anger.

“President Obama is the Commander-in Chief of the Armed Forces. There are many young men–teenagers some of them–who are sleeping on the ground, who haven’t had showers for weeks and they are doing so under his orders. Many of these men have seen their friends blown to bits and some may have that happen to them or may come home minus a body part. If they can put up with that, don’t you think that their Commander-in Chief can put up with a little criticism?”

And it was at that point that she asked the question that is the title of this post.

The treatment of this president by the media over the last 18 months is the most vivid example of what the concept of divine right must have meant that I’ve ever seen.

Some have objected to the award to president Obama because he doesn’t have achievements to back things up.

Lets take a look at the Nobel statement:

Oct 9, 2009 Olso:

“Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world’s attention and given its people hope for a better future.”

Hope for the future, well we have seen this before:

Jan, 3 BC. Jerusalem

“Now, Master, you may let your servant go in peace, according to your word, for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you prepared in sight of all the peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and glory for your people Israel.” (Luke 2:29-32)

Maybe Andrew Klavan was right.

I don’t know what is worse, the idea that a series of colored blocks is considered art or that someone decided it was worth copying?

I don’t see how this is worth a lot of debate but lets talk some basic facts:

1. Yes this is a copy of the first picture

2. The reason this is not brought up in polite company is the same reason why Professor Mary Lefkowitz needed to be attacked for her two books. Amazon reviews here and here.

3. The people who cry Racism at that suggestion are not to be taken seriously by intelligent people.

4. There is nothing insidious in the White House displaying this picture or putting it up to be seen

I think it is an indication of bad taste more than anything else, but the point of any kind of “art” is. “Does the person who possess is or view it like it?”

If you like it than who cares what anyone else says about these things?

Personally compare this:

Watusil escargot

With this

La Donna Velata

Just because I recently reviewed a book on Art history it doesn’t make me an expert but I’d take the 2nd over the first two combined.

In fact I’d take either of these two over the first pair:

Brave and bold 124

Warlord 3 grell

I don’t know art but I know what I like.
