Lady Adrasta: Why haven’t you died?
Organon: I’m sorry, my lady. It was an oversight.

Doctor Who: The Creature From the Pit 1979

Yesterday I picked up my son from work and he told me about the shooting of Charlie Kirk who was not reported dead by the time I dropped him off and got myself home.

By that time the online left was already dancing a jig and while some places like Jezebel who literally hired witches to curse him two days ago (and whose comments on the article I can no longer access (unexpectedly of course) suddenly added this editors note to their piece:

We Paid Some Etsy Witches to Curse Charlie Kirk

If the far-right misogynist with a bad haircut wants to villainize independent women, Jezebel is more than happy to be the hag of his nightmares.

Editor’s Note: This story was published on September 8. Jezebel condemns the shooting of Charlie Kirk in the strongest possible terms. We do not endorse, encourage, or excuse political violence of any kind.

(BTW If you believe that editors note then there are thousands of Nigerian email scammers dying to meet you)

We’re also seen some of the loudest voices that were screaming Nazi & Fascist a few days ago suddenly deciding that political violence is not a good idea, largely because it hit them that conservatives are well armed and very angry at the moment.

This hasn’t stopped the left online from celebrating loudly with plenty of people cheering about the murder even to this extreme point where a leftist crashed a vigil for Kirk shouting that he deserved it got kicked out and played the victim online

Now for those few people who side with the left out of habit or a joiners who might still have a semblance of a conscience this should bring the obvious Mitchel & Webb question: Are we the Baddies?

But there is a more fundamental and much more obvious question worth asking to those few on the left who are not so brainwashed as to be unable to think.

You have been calling us Nazi’s for decades, you have been calling us Klan members, you talk about how guns cause violence and seek to disarm us. You keep telling how right wing violence is the scourge of the nation.

If this is true why aren’t we killing you right now?

Why aren’t leftist enclaves in Red states running red with blood? How come you aren’t being hanged from every lamppost in Texas or Georgia or Wyoming? How is it that, since as you claim guns cause violence, we haven’t used those guns to execute you with two in the back of the head? Why aren’t cities burning?

Mr. Nestguard is the perfect example. If there was ever a person who put himself in a position to be sized by an angry mob and lynched where he stood, Mr Nestguard interrupting a vigil for a murdered Charlie Kirk screaming that he deserved it and wished he did it himself, that would have been it. Yet all they did is push him out so he could go online and play the hero to his fellow psychopaths.

Yet we are not.

Part of it is all that Christianity that you hate which tells us that we should not murder you.

Part of it is the knowledge that not a single one of you is worth the cost to our souls if we did it.

But most if it is because we aren’t the people you claim we are. That we never were the people you’ve claimed we are because if we were the life expectancy of a CNN or MSNBC or ABC pundit would the shorter than a mayfly.

As I put it the moment I heard Charlie Kirk had died:

Mind you it’s still possible that you will drive us to the breaking point and the Devil will be doing his best to push us in that direction and once that line is crossed it’s going to be very hard to put that genie back in the bottle.

But before that happens take this moment to ask yourself the obvious question I’ve raised and realize that you’ve been played badly by the media, by the professional left and by those seeking power for their own purposes.

You have a choice to make for yourselves, we on the right will do our best to keep our own souls, I suggest to try to rediscover your own.

Trump Cancels Qatar’s Insurance Policy

I’ve said for a long time that Qatar by allowing US bases has pretty much bought an insurance policy to prevent Israel for striking them for harboring Hamas not to mention financing antisemitism all over the world.

A couple of days ago President Trump said this:

President Donald Trump has delivered what he called a “last warning” to Hamas, urging the group to accept a U.S.-backed proposal to release hostages from Gaza — a deal he said Israel has already endorsed.

Needless to say Hamas has not released the hostages.

So two days later we discovered that the Qatar Insurance policy has run out:

The IDF and the Shin Bet on Tuesday confirmed a stunning attempt to assassinate Hamas’s leadership in Doha, Qatar.

After two years of Qatar hosting negotiations between Israel and Hamas over hostage exchanges and ceasefires, the government reached the decision that killing the remaining Hamas leaders was more important than leaving that diplomatic channel open.

A statement said that the leaders targeted were responsible for the October 7, 2023, massacre of around 1,200 Israelis in the country’s South, as well as managing the terror group’s operations for years before that.

And there is reason to believe that Qatar understood this and tried to warn Hamas to play ball

they didn’t and via Hotair and Ed Morrissey (who has an excellent piece on this) it’s likely they will never do so again:

The last word on this:

The President has put out a statement saying Israel attacking Qatar is not conducive to their or the US’s goals but also saying hitting Hamas is.

I think Trump has had it with Qatar and they have decided what profit a man if he gains the entire world and loses his life, and thus have decided that Hamas in Qatar was not worth the risk.

Me today at 6:22 AM EST via Twitter X or whatever you want to call it:

In case you can’t read the tweet:

PREDICTION: Sometime today

@realDonaldTrump will make a public statement about the Murder in #charlotte on video and the MSM will suddenly discover the story of Iryna Zarutska’s murder under the heading: “Republicans pounce” #unexpectedly of course #IrynaZarutska

Trump today:

Axos today via Instapundit:

AXIOS GOES INTO FULL REPUBLICANS POUNCE MODE TO TUT-TUT ZARUTSKA MURDER: Stabbing video fuels MAGA’s crime message.

MAGA influencers are drawing repeated attention to violent attacks to elevate the issue of urban crime — and accuse mainstream media of under-covering shocking cases.

  • Shocking video of the fatal Aug. 22 knife attack on 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska on a light-rail car in Charlotte, North Carolina, dominated weekend conversation on Trump-friendly social media.

The big picture: The rising number of surveillance cameras in public spaces, including on Charlotte’s light rail, has become a big accelerant in these cases.

  • The video is easily shared or leaked, and can instantly pollinate across social media — a visual counterpoint to statistics showing crime decreases.

Glenn opines:

“Since the number one rule for the legacy media is ‘thou shalt not support anything Trump does,’ naturally the Zarutska murder can’t be covered. And it won’t be, unless they can find — or manufacture — some alternative angle that will make Trump look bad. So far, they’ve come up a dry hole. So nothing.”

And that’s why Axios started off Monday by blaming the video of Zarutska’s murder, and Republicans’ response to it. It’s adjacent to their fellow leftists originally demanding omnipresent police body cams, and then being shocked that almost invariably, they show the police responding competently to violent crimes being committed:

In fairness this was easier to predict than the questions Joe Biden was getting at press conferences.

There is one headwind that a lot of Trump fans don’t understand. The speed at which all of the things that Donald Trump has accomplished in not even nine months in office is completely abnormal.

That speed is akin to Tom Brady’s run with the Patriots. Brady made dominance of the opponent so much the norm that when he was gone New England fans consider the need to build a winning team against other worthy opponents practically an insult.

Trump is winning when he can and pushing forward to keep things going but even with a better team than last time expecting miracles every single day is self defeating. Keep things in perspective.

Another characteristic of the Trump years that I’ve found VERY annoying has been the two extremes. The “all Trump does is evil” extreme that the entire Democrat party has seemed to adopt and the “Trump is God personal representative on earth” extreme meaning we must always be in lockstep.

While the first is considerably worse to the point where people are actually defending crime and murder both are tiresome. I understand a fair amount of people make their living either by trashing trump or by worshiping him loudly but that’s not for me.

For me Trump is the best president of my lifetime and if his term ended today it would be a toss up if I would rank him ahead #2 or behind Lincoln as #3.

But in the end he is simply the president who will not be president in four years and the various grifters will find another way to grift once he’s gone.

There is one simple rule concerning Trump that when I mentioned it to DaWife had her laughing out loud.

Trump lives to troll his foes (I have a brother like this, he loves to wind up people especially those who are asses)

When given the choice between doing the right thing OR doing the right thing while Trolling his foes, Trump will ALWAYS choose the latter.

When doing a neutral thing Trump will ALWAYS troll his foes.

While a lot of this comes from how they treated him his foes have enabled this by hanging on his every word.

Trump has the advantage here because for decades many of those he trolled approached him on bended knee for cash or to be invited to parties etc, and only turned when he was a threat to their power. He knows them for what they are which is why he will always have the advantage.

On a similar vein Robert Kennedy is having a field day with his foes and there are many and he’s doing it in a very simple way.

He’s speaking the truth openly, and not caring what they say because like Trump, many of those who are attacking him were fans in the past when they thought they could use his wealth or name for their advantage.

So he confronts them directly, speaking plain truth to folks who have gotten rich off of lobbyist money and deals, he knows how the system works and answers with plain factual answers because he actually believes his job is not to protect the CDC but to protect the people it is supposed to serve.

He’s lucky the Democrats did not nominate him, they would have assassinated him by now if they had and elevated a deep state VP to power.

If you really want to understand why so many people are fighting so hard to preserve the deep state, or crime or to destroy Israel etc etc etc it really comes down to one thing.

There were an awful lot of people who made an awful lot of money out of all the grift that was and is going on.

Every single NGO, every single admin, every single “influence” who was and or is getting a piece of everything from China money, to Cartel money, to Qatar money to taxpayer money knows that clearing things up means they are of no use to the elites who are getting the lion’s share of this stuff when means that the days of wine and roses are gone.

This is why it’s smart to live modestly. Once you get used to the very high life it becomes difficult to go back to the norms of life, even norms that are fairly comfortable. Such people will do anything and clutch at anything to keep themselves at the current social level even if it means debt and disgrace or worse.

Hundreds of thousands have been stealing from hundreds of millions and those hundreds of thousands will fight for the right for their cut to the end because the alternative is to see themselves as they are not special, but a regular human being.

Cue Ray Liotta as Henry Hill:
