…I wonder he will say about this:

Nazi Germany celebrated Christmas without Christ with the help of swastika tree baubles, ‘Germanic’ cookies and a host of manufactured traditions, a new exhibition has shown.

The way the celebration was gradually taken over and exploited for propaganda purposes by Hitler’s Nazis is detailed in a new exhibition.

Gee where have we seen this before. Clayton Cramer expands on it and gives Jonah Goldberg a pat:

This doesn’t surprise me particularly. I recently finished reading Jonah Goldberg’s Liberal Fascism. He makes the claim that the Nazis removed prayer from German public schools in 1935, for a similar reason. I have not had a chance to spot check Goldberg’s claims, but I this does generally fit. National Socialism was derived from progressivism, and shared many of its most obnoxious traits: hostility towards religion, and especially Judeo-Christian beliefs; support for eugenics; government control over the economy; hostility towards free market capitalism.

Is anyone surprised by this? I’m sure it’s just a coincidence.

You know there is nothing as tolerant as the tolerant left:

From the video: Supporters of President Obama’s Amnesty plans attacked Tea Party Against Amnesty & Illegal Immigration demonstrators in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on Sat. November 14, 2009. One of the men attacked is 62 years old. Dave Caulkett of FLIMEN (Floridians for Immigration Enforcement) is assaulted and then kicked in the face while he is down. The other camera man from the Tea Party is hit with several signs.

You mean to say that the left would commit violence against people who disagree with them? It is possible that Ken Gladney wasn’t an aberration? (How is it that although the police report clearly AND the video shows assault it hasn’t been pursued anyway?)

How does the left tell the tale? I’m sure they will condemn this violence… (cough cough) here is crooks and liars:

I’ve been warning for awhile that there is a violent element already involved in the immigration debate, and when they become empowered by the “tea party” types, it’s going to get ugly. Looks like the debate hasn’t even started yet, and it already is.

There that wasn’t so hard was it? FOOLED YOU he is referring to the Tea Party protesters as the violent ones. Powerline sees what is coming:

We conservatives have long talked about our willingness to fight for freedom. In a sense, that’s generally been metaphorical, especially when talking about domestic rather than foreign enemies. With the far left now on the march, however, it isn’t metaphorical any more. It’s just one more sign of the Age of Obama–fighting in the streets, as the extreme Left has been empowered as never before.

The election of president Obama and his Chicago gang has enabled the Chicago style thugs who supported. This is not a bug it is a feature.

And remember we did this to ourselves as a nation.

Will it make the MSM? Did Gladney?

is this Tweet:

hey Chinese government – i found a way to sneak around your firewall on my laptop to get to twitter. Dont fear freedom, Chinese government. about 12 hours ago from web
jaketapper

He is putting himself out there and China has a long memory, does he care? No! This explains why he isn’t worried about challenging this White House, if he’s not afraid of China he certainly isn’t going to be afraid of Obama.

He even gets to the bottom of the bow:

“This picture shows two things,” my friend writes.

“1) The ‘right’ is wrong about Obama’s bow.

“2) The ‘left’ is wrong about Obama’s bow.

“His bow is neither (1) unprecedented nor (2) a sign of cultural understanding.

“At their 1971 meeting in Alaska, the first visit of a Japanese Emperor to America, President Nixon bowed and referred to Emperor Hirohito and his wife repeatedly as ‘Your Imperial Majesties.'”

and he explains why the left is wrong too (although other than anti-communism Nixon was very much a liberal republican).

The bow as he performed did not just display weakness in Red State terms, but evoked weakness in Japanese terms….The last thing the Japanese want or need is a weak looking American president and, again, in all ways, he unintentionally played that part.

Would there be anyone worth paying attention to in the Washington press corps if he wasn’t there, (excluding of course the wonderful Byron York)?

Exit question: How long before he ends up at Fox when the White House gets sick of dealing with him?

…except for the outlets that manage to get her on.

Let’s face it, most of the MSM and the magazines that are attacking her are hemorrhaging readers and/or viewers. They will hit Palin they will make fun of Palin but they know that she is a breadwinner for them, and they also know that every moment that they cover Sarah Palin is a moment that they don’t have to cover this president and the best thing for their side (yes they have a side) is to avoid covering this president.

The media is going to be pretty much unwatchable all week.

As Rush has said, the left will tell us who they fear, and they are screaming it loudly. Watching Morning Joe today it is also not a coincidence that apparently the two of the favorite republicans of this show are apparently hit hard in this book.

Lets be blunt: Any Republican that thinks the advice of the media is worth taking for their benefit is an idiot and the concept that they will consult an editor of the Nation for this says much more about Morning Joe than it does about Sarah Palin.
