My latest for the examiner tell the story of a doomed band of brothers fighting a seemingly impossible fight:

The twin city tea party filled the large event room, there was food, drink and frolic as members celebrated for hours their efforts of Election Day.

A victory party seemed out of place. Just two days earlier Massachusetts democrats had swept every statewide office from Auditor to Governor losing only two Governor’s council races and a handful of State Legislative seats.

When you look at races like ny-23 that are turning on under 2000 votes, think how much it meant nationally for the country for Democrats to be pinned down defending ground they shouldn’t have had to.

With all the election Hoopla I had no time to replace the DaBlogs of the DaMonth, but since the feature started late in October I guess it’s OK.

So lets quickly say Thanks to our former blogs of the month: And so it goes in Shreveport , it was nice to have you over for a while and also to Rich’s Comic’s Blog and What If, who return to their normal spots on the blogroll.

And without further Ado here are this month’s blogs of the month. First of all Since Sarah Palin was one of the big winners of this weeks election what better blog to start with than Conservatives4Palin? This week they give yet another example of Palin doing the work the party doesn’t want to:

Governor Palin tweeted the following this afternoon:

Mama Grizzly Renee Ellmers needs our help securing an honest and fair recount. Please donate here: http://is.gd/gIZAv

Ellmers is in need of support as her opponent, Congressman Etheridge, is calling for a recount despite Ellmers’ 1600 vote lead. Ellmers’ campaign will need to hire lawyers to ensure that the recount process is performed with integrity.

Remember Minnesota 2008 and support Renee Ellmers a fine lady who I had the honor of interviewing.

Our second member is Israellycool who reminds us that “Mosques” in inappropriate places is not just for NYC

A number of days ago, UNESCO classified the Jewish holy site Rachel’s Tomb as a mosque.

Israel has now reacted to this appalling decision by refusing to cooperate with them.

Israel on Wednesday said it would reduce cooperation with the United Nations’ cultural watchdog after the body classified Rachel’s Tomb in the West Bank as a mosque.

Considering Iran this will be a blog to keep an eye on for all of next year.

And finally our new kid on the blog, we present Shrinkwrapped A Psychoanalyst Attempts to Understand Our World. This week explaining liberalism in one sentence:

Just remember, Liberals, like adolescents, do not believe in ever slowing down their spending until they have their credit card taken away.

So you will be renting a room here for a month, how do you feel about that?

Make it a point to give our blogs of the month a visit during November, and if you have suggestions for December feel free to drop them in comments.

…and their advice is compromise, compromise, compromise…for the GOP.

The exact opposite of Rush Limbaugh. Sarah Palin and the people who got them elected.

Considering their predictions on the death of conservatism it is almost comical to hear them, and this is the most conservative show on msnbc.

UPDATE: OMG a twofer, not only does Lawrence O’Donnell take down Glenn Greenwald, but he comes out and admits he is a hard core socialist and that he needs conservative democrats to get hard core socialists like Barney Frank as chairmen of house committees.

Update 2: Here is the video:

Breitbart also ran with it.

He is exactly right, and he makes the best case for electing republicans that will ever be made.

If this is not taped and played in every election for the rest of our lives then the entire RNC, NRCC, SRCC should be taken out and shot.

In June of 1812 the United States of America declared War on Great Briton over a variety of causes not the least of which was the impressment of sailors from American merchant ships into the British Navy (which was at the time involved in a life and death struggle with Napoleon and France). Four months before war was officially declared president decided that the 16 American warships that composed the US navy best use were as shore batteries defending harbors. Being that England had 600 ships this was seemingly a rational and logical decision.

On Election Day 2008, Barack H. Obama won the presidency winning states such as North Carolina and Virginia where Democrats had not taken in years and retaining democratic strongholds such as Massachusetts and New Jersey; while in congress Democrats made solid gains winning a large congressional majority in the house and a super-majority in the Senate.

On every major network Pundits proclaimed it the start of a new democratic Era. Books poured out about the president, T-Shirts were selling briskly, a massive crowd turned up for the inauguration, and off in England Russell T. Davies was writing a script for the final episode of David Tennant’s run as the 10th Doctor Who’s climatic event of the first part was to take place as the world awaited a plan by President Obama to solve the world wide economic crisis. Pundits a plenty reasoned that the era of Reagan was over. Republicans such as Chris Buckley and David Brooks talked about the power of Obama and David Frum began his Frum Forum determined to take the Republican Party away from what they considered the conservative extreme and back to the middle where it could one day triumph.

In February 1812 Two American Captains in Washington on separate errands heard of the decision of the President and naval department; Captain William Bainbridge and Captain Charles Stewart were in before Naval Secretary Hamilton and made their case, they were so persuasive that he arranged a meeting with President James Madison.

Shortly after the election Rush Limbaugh unapologetic defender of conservatism and the single most popular person on Radio declared that it was not the time to stop fighting. The maintained that the election was not a mandate against conservatism, indeed it was only the inclusion of Conservative Republican Sarah Palin that gave the campaign any energy and accounted for the only brief lead in the polls the campaign enjoyed. As Governor Sarah Palin returned to Alaska where Democrats mindful of the energy she brought to the Republican side unleashed a string of frivolous ethics complaints determined to neutralize her once and for all Rush declared publicly on his radio show about President Obama “I hope he fails”. In February he was scheduled to be the keynote and final speaker at CPAC where he would face a crowd of conservative activists at their lowest ebb of their political lives…
