For thousands of miles they rode. Some had not seen family for weeks.

A stop on the road

As the bus drove on you could see the wear of days on the road, in and out of hotels, and multiple performances a day without even time on occasion to clean their clothes.

Voices were sore bodies were bruised and times to relax seemed few

Keeping spirits up

and far between but they went on, pausing at rest stops and convenience stores to grab something quick to drink or eat. They knew that there was still one more event to do, but it was the last event.

A little song

They had covered the length and breath of the land to unite and inspire people with their message and they had succeeded. Tens of thousands had heard them, clapped with them, cheered them giving them the energy to draw on when it seemed

A Bit tired

that there wasn’t another speech, song or dance inside of them.

It was not without opposition. In Nevada opponents had held signs trying to misdirect traffic away from their rally. In Boston a young man had tossed eggs at the bus and the performers only to be run down by Boston Police who were ready and willing to charge him. Even then with his shirt stained they showed the compassion and restraint that their foes had

A young Egg Thrower (left) asks for mercy and recieves it.

not, allowing the young man off with a warning. He was very lucky as the police in the area told him if they had been hit he would not be so fortunate. Yet like a flock of mosquitoes stinging an elephant they at worst could annoy they could not stop the messengers nor people from coming to hear it.

2 a.m. 4-15-10 Finally in Washington

At 2 a.m. a road weary crew unloaded their buses for the final time as they pulled into a hotel in Washington. One last performance awaited them, one last crowd to entertain and inspire.

Thanks guys for all the hard work!

As they rushed in the hopes of getting that last bit of rest before the show they knew from the faces and adoration from Nevada to New York, from Michigan to Massachusetts and even from the thumbs up and handshakes at rest stops along the way they had already succeeded in spreading the word. The two thousand people who would be cheering them in just a few hours were simply the exclamation point at the end of the story confirming it!

on a roll in New Orleans:

A Republican activist and her boyfriend were savagely beaten in New Orleans on Friday for wearing Sarah Palin pins,.

Now the question becomes will the media report on it? I’m sure they will decline, after all they don’t want to seem racist. Since they ignored a black conservative being beaten (Mr. Gladney) they don’t want to have a double standard just because one of the conservative victims this time is an attractive white woman.

Update: Michelle Reports there were no pins involved. Mea Culpa I didn’t make the call that she did.

…well I think this comment left on my morning Tea Party post says a whole lot more about the gentleman who wrote it, (who I’ve met on a couple of occasions and I like actually) then about the people who he is asking it about.

Next time, please ask:
Is President Obama a secret Muslim?
Is President Obama a natural-born citizen?
Are you a fan of Sarah Palin?
How often do you watch Glenn Beck?
Who is your personal hero?

I think the answers to these questions would be more revealing.

After all you can’t oppose obamacare or be willing to protest without either being some kind of conspiracy theorist or supporting a pol or talk show host on the not approved list.

In case you are curious my own answers to those questions are available here.

You should check out his blog and podcast anyway so you can see where he is coming from.

A MU-ik Videoh! Well we central mass Rednecks are outraged thar! That rock and roll stuff leads to a wiggling and a gyratin and next thing you know you end teaching kids to go ’round with near nutton on ‘tal!

You know I was always under the impression that our friends on the left were supposed to be more well “liberal” about this kind of stuff. I’m sure they must believe this music video disqualifies her from her position at WCVB.

The media here is pretty liberal but I’m wondering if the people at Chanel 5 are rethinking that. They know Gail, they know she kept quiet as things were said about her husband and daughters, I think this is going to backfire. It certainly isn’t going to endear the Huffpo to people who have watched her locally for many many years.

If knowing him made a difference to voters then knowing her will make a difference to local reporters.

One word: Dishonorable.

Update: The Lonely conservative is wondering why he posted on the subject. Why so I would link back of course! The real question is why Robert Stacy hasn’t posted on the subject yet. If there is one thing I’ve learned about him in the last week it’s he has an eye for a beautiful girl. Meep (who I mistakenly thought was Dan’s wife) at POWIP says this:

I find the whole thing very puzzling, in that these people pride themselves as being very knowledgeable, but cannot figure out what would be actually offensive to Massachusetts voters, even the conservative ones. We might be social conservatives, but we’re not the group who thinks females ought to be covered in black tents. These people keep crowing about eschewing stereotypes, and then invent some cardboard cutout idea of what a conservative is.

Yup that’s pretty much it.

Update 2: Pirate’s cove has a point:

I’m convinced. Scott Brown is not qualified to be a U.S. Senator. Next thing you know, we’ll find out that he had sex. With his wife!

He Just doesn’t fit in.

Update 3: Robert Stacy Links me all over. The fact that some people are making what they are of this say a whole lot more about them then it does about Scott Brown. (And yes this is identical to the other update, I’m cheep when it comes to pixels too.)
