I think it is time to put that saying from my business card “Have Fedora will Travel” into practical application and begin thinking outside of the box. (more…)

Like any normal person I have my ups and downs. Even when you find yourself blessed to the degree that I’ve been lately that doesn’t preclude the normal struggles and disappointments of a day or of a life.

So I want to give a big thank you to Cynthia Yockey for starting my very early morning on a very up note with a very kind complement. That is the most wonderful thing about friends, particularly new ones on the net, they can be there for you even when they don’t know they’re doing it.

God tends to provide, who would have guessed that the thing a believing Catholic needed the most one morning was a conservative lesbian?

…as right wing.

But that day will be when they decide that actual fact is more important than the narrative.

The problem with this type of tactic by the left is that with the invention and propagation of the internet the facts become available to the average American with very little effort and more importantly via blogs and e-mail they can be distributed with very little effort. Thus an attempt to play dupe the public fails under scrutiny.

Until the media actually starts to understand that they will continue to hemorrhage readership until like MSNBC they are left with a leftist core to sustain themselves. At that point their bias like MSNBC will simply serve to support and reinforce their niche market that remains as they fight for those few viewers willing to pay.

Until and unless they choose to leave their echo chamber they are doomed.

but several other parishes were not so lucky:

He said the four new parishes will be as follows:
• St. Bernard’s Parish worshipping at St. Camillus de Lellis Church and serving the northern part of the city.
• St. Anthony Parish at St. Anthony Church serving the downtown area.
• St. Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church serving West Fitchburg, including the Cleghorn neighborhood.
• St. Francis Parish at St. Francis Church serving the south and east neighborhoods of the city.

“The patrimony, including assets and liabilities of St. Camillus de Lellis Parish and St. Bernard Parish, which includes St. Bernard Elementary School and St. Bernard Cemetery, will all be part of the new St. Bernard Parish at St. Camillus Church. The patrimony and traditions of Immaculate Conception, Sacred Heart of Jesus, Madonna of the Holy Rosary, as well as their assets and liabilities, will be assumed by the other three newly established parishes,” the bishop wrote.

I was a little surprised at St. Joseph considering many activities had been combined with St. Anthony’s lately however it is a bigger church than Holy Rosary so that might have been an important factor in the decision.

I would be a liar if I didn’t say I was relieved but I feel sorry for the others.

Update: I guess Robert Stacy McCain’s picked the right parish to visit didn’t he?
