My review of Matthew Continetti’s book: The Persecution of Sarah Palin: How the Elite Media Tried to Bring Down a Rising Star is Available at Amazon.com here.

I only bought the book because I needed to get my order for Going Rogue up to the $25 dollar free shipping bound.

I think I would have been better picking up a 3rd copy of Palin’s book. It wasn’t horrible but if you are a blogger or a person who reads blogs regularly you could have written this book yourself. If I had any brains I would have done it and made enough off of the piggyback factor to be set for a year or two.

It is interesting to note that the same Palin Tag derangement that took place over her book is alive and well on this one.

My review of the Big Finish adventure Doctor Who adventure number #70 Unregenerate featuring Sylvester McCoy as the 7th doctor and Bonnie Langford as Melaine Bush is available at Amazon.com here.

This is an excellent example of a so so story being made pretty good by a cast that knows what they are doing.

Another odd thing about the 7th Doctor Mel adventures are the timelines, in most of the Big Finish adventures the come in sequence in the sense that the big finish adventures with the same companion follow each other sequentially. For whatever reason the Mel adventures with the 7th doctor don’t follow that rule (check out Wikipedia for the sequencing.)

I have absolutely no explanation for that and it’s not all that important but it is interesting.

My review of the Sherlock Holmes: The Scarlet Claw, the 8th in the series of 14 movies featuring Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce in the title roles is at Amazon.com here.

The entire series is great and worth review, I actually have no idea why I started with this one.

Because the DVD’s are kinda pricey you might want to get them via NetFlix as I have, but no matter how you slice it they are first rate, particularly this once which seems more dramatic than many others in the series. There are particular scenes that I considered pretty serious for 1944.

On a totally unrelated matter Big Finish is now doing a Sherlock Holmes audio series. The first one: Sherlock Holmes and the last act has just been released.

I have no plans of getting them myself but if you are a Holmes fan you might enjoy them.

My review of the Reaper expansion for the Talisman board Game is available at amazon.com here.

The reaper expansion really adds to the game it is also necessary for the online download variant the Danse-Macabre. mentioned in my review of the Frostmarch expansion.

If you like Talisman (and if you played it you should like it) you will enjoy this expansion.
