A gift on last day of the Christmas season

Rich is back from his vacation and The 10 Doctors has resumed.

He apparently put up page 164 late last night so if you go straight to his blog today you might miss a page.

So I would start with the link above before going to the current page to read on.

BTW the link for the “current page” above is to today’s current page in case you are reading this as an archive page.

Thanks again for the great gift Rich. It’s a wonderful break from the nonsense of the world. If your blog had been on the 2008 webblog awards page I would have voted for it.

Well Israellycool and Hotair are reporting Israel has gone in.

If Israel is going in personally they better be willing to finish the job.

Of course the big news today is the selection of the 11th doctor Richard Grant. My wife’s first reaction is he isn’t very cute. More into on that here here here and here.

Interview with the new Doctor here. You will need the Proxy server stuff.

11th doctor Today!

I guess that rumor isn’t a rumor any more:

The name of the actor who will replace David Tennant in Doctor Who will be announced on Saturday.

Tennant said in October that he would stand down from the show after filming four special episodes in 2009.

His replacement – the eleventh Doctor of the TV series – will be revealed in a Doctor Who Confidential programme on BBC One at 1735 on 3 January.

Looks like the Sun had it right for a change. Feel free to leave your guesses in comments on who it will be. I personally have no idea. I just hope they don’t pull the sex change nonsense as it has clearly been established that there are male and female time lords.

Just to remind approval of comments might be slow today unless I live blog the party. Hmmmm.

UPDATE: Who the hell is Matt Smith? Ironically IMDB lists him as Matt Smith XI.

UPDATE 2: The BBC has updated their main Dr. Who page.

10 Doctors + 1?

Tomorrow on BBC 1 a special edition of Dr. Who Confidential called The 10 doctors will be broadcast at 5:35 PM England time.

It will have to go a long way to be better than this Ten Doctors but according to Life Doctor Who and Conbom it might break some big news for fans:

There is a serious rumour circulating that during the Ten Doctors special on BBC1 on Saturday, they will be announcing the next actor to play the Doctor. I’m not one to fall for rumours, but it looks to me like this may have some backbone, after all, why show this special at prime-time on a Saturday evening, when its all just repeat footage?

Since the clock is ticking (15 months to the 2010 season) there isn’t a ton of time left for the pick.
