Job interview on Thursday

It’s a more product specific support than I usually do but with 20 years of picking up new systems it shouldn’t be that much of a problem.

If you have a spare prayer, I’ll certainly take it and if possible throw one toward my nephew too, he is off to Minnesota for an interview this week and his situation is rougher than mine.

My congratulations to Jim Treacher Sean Medlock for getting a Gig with Tucker Carlson’s new web site.

This is going to sound weird, but Tucker Carlson has just hired me to blog for his new “web-site,” which is found at the “U-R-L” http://dailycaller.com. I know! I know. I’m not sure I get it either. But it looks like I’m moving to Washington, DC as soon as I can get the truck loaded up.

He deserves it and the fact that Tucker grabbed him shows good sense, but I must confess given my situation I’m extremely jealous.

In case Tucker is still looking for guys for the Daily Caller, I’ll remind him that I’d be happy to work for him for $800 a week, if he only wants a part time guy I’d be willing to go part time for $540 a week.

Hey can’t hurt to ask.

One down three to go

I’m pleased to announce that my pal Dave just was hired today and will be starting a new position just after the first of the year.

That leaves Myself and my pal Roger as still unemployed in the computer field, and my Nephew Dominic outside of the tech field as still searching.

Lets hope that it doesn’t take much longer for the rest of us.

1.5 Million? I’d do it for 45k a year!

Apparently Tucker Carlson raised 1.5 million for his blog.

1.5 Million! I’m letting this number roll around in my head.

I’m no Tucker Carlson and even with the 11th doctor’s example I’m unlikely to go into Bow Ties anytime soon but tell you what.

$800 a week. That’s what I was making when I lost my job. On that money I can pay all my bills and live comfortably. Not high off the hog, I won’t be traveling the world, buying new cars or stockpiling gold, but $800 a week or 45k a year. For that money I would happily blog professionally for the rest of my life, with only minor COL increases after 5 years.

Cripes if Carlson is willing to hire me I’d be willing to blog on his site for $800 a week and do follow up research and the whole 10 yards (Id do the whole 9 but then I’d have to either punt or go for it on 4th down.) that price and do some solid research.

Consider this an open ended offer for any conservative web site that is looking for a conservative blogger for hire.

Update: Somehow all the links in this post vanished into thin air. I got the Carlson Number from Robert Stacy and include the link he was owed for it now.
