After 30 minutes of telling us what a good job Law Enforcement did to protect us, Morning Joe brings on Raza Aslan author of Beyond Fundamentalism to call this a “criminal” act and not part of any kind of war and David Sanger downplaying any foreign connection.

Apparently that is the new narrative. Lone wolf, no connection, amateur act, nothing to see here.

It is much easier than to admit something might be up with Islam.

If the left wonders why they they aren’t taken seriously it’s stuff like this.

Poor media, Poor Cair…

I’m afraid it is going to be impossible to blame this on the Flemish Menace:

A U.S. citizen from Pakistan accused of driving a bomb-laden SUV into Times Square and parking it on a street lined with restaurants and Broadway theaters was to appear in court Tuesday to face charges for his failed attempt to set off a massive fireball and kill Americans, federal authorities said.

The suspect, Faisal Shahzad, was taken into custody late Monday by FBI agents and New York Police Department detectives while trying to leave the country, according to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and other officials. He was identified by customs agents at John F. Kennedy International Airport and was stopped before boarding a flight to Dubai, Holder said early Tuesday in Washington, D.C.

Shahzad is a naturalized U.S. citizen and had recently returned from a five-month trip to Pakistan, where he had a wife, according to law enforcement officials who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the investigation into the failed car bombing.

Sue Madrak and Mayor Bloomberg not withstanding I don’t think his main concern was the healthcare bill nor a member of any tea party.

As for the people who delivered the South Park “commentary” he has more “commentary” on the subject:

Younus Abdullah Muhammad, author of RevolutionMuslim.com, told WND senior reporter Aaron Klein on New York’s WABC Radio that America should “absolutely” expect more jihadi violence in New York City.

When asked if the Times Square attack was aimed at the offices of nearby Viacom, which owns the “South Park” series, Abdullah Muhammad deflected the question to condemn U.S. foreign policy instead.

“It was a retaliation for what your government is doing overseas,” Abdullah Muhammad said. “If you want to continue killing civilians, then you’re going to get many incidents that resemble what happened yesterday.”

I wonder what our friend Sue has to say about that?

Nope nothing to see here. Nothing to do with radical Islam. Gotta be racist to suggest it.

It would be in the headline rotation of ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, Headline News, PBS and BET.

But it is instead the lionized “immigration” marches so it will not make the news:

Close to 20 businesses were damaged after what started as a peaceful immigrants’ rights march in downtown Santa Cruz turned violent, requiring police to call other agencies for help, authorities said.

Police spokesman Zach Friend said an estimated 250 people started marching through the city around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

It was a harmonious but “unpermitted and unsanctioned event,” he said, until some in the crowd started breaking windows and spraying paint on retail shops that line the downtown corridor.

In other words the crowd was peaceful until it wasn’t.

We hear the left telling us how dangerous Tea Party members are, what will they say about their own?

I think it would be very interesting to call up congressmen who commented on the dangers of the tea party rallies to see what they have to say about events in Santa Cruz.

Stacy McCain continues to beat the Bushes to find the details in Pa-12 and some of these seem to be familiar:

While I was at Burns campaign HQ Friday, I interviewed a registered Democrat from Fayette County who stopped by the office to pick up a yard sign. This was a blue-collar working man who had voted for Murtha in the past, but who has no use at all for the agenda currently being pushed by Obama and Nancy Pelosi.

Again we have a situation where a district was comfortable with a longtime member of congress and perhaps looking the other way on certain things because he brought home the bacon and had power, but now that he’s gone people will now vote their own interest.

Where have I seen this before?

I was kinda busy this weekend so I missed Robert Stacy’s & Roxeanne’s suggestion concerning PA 12.

I don’t mind doing the drive down there although the election is on my Birthday so the family might be a tad annoyed, but if the time to panic is at hand any kind of thing that generates income is welcome.

So if you want to the DaTipJar to send me to PA 12, that’s great. (Specify PA-12 in the comment) Stacy’s calculations leave out any kind of Hotel or place to sleep but we are talking 10 hours down and ten hours back. Assuming I can get a cheap hotel for $50 a night. If I can Get $500 by the end of the week to DaTipJar then I’ll head down. If by the 8th I have said $500 I’ll pick a day to head there. For every extra $250 a day that comes in I’ll add an extra day. (That covers hotel plus my fee).

It’s all up to you guys. Should I stay or should I go, or to put it another way: Is what I do here worth it to you? Excitable Andrew actually managed to raise $80k a year to blog independently from his readers before he got his Atlantic gig. What would this on site reporting be worth to you?
