I am so Linuxed out…

I’ve spent a good chunk of my waking hours doing online linux courses and studying. I have linux on the brain and am very tired.

Tomorrow I re-open my unemployment claim and maybe manage lunch with the wife, beyond that there are a pair of broken cars needing fixing (only the dough to fix one for now) and an interview to keep preparing for (no game night for me this week). Oh and I have to swap out a power supply on a pc when I get the chance.

The good news is since there is no chance of me not waiting at the unemployment office I’ll likely finish the Palin book tomorrow morning but I’m about as mentally tired as one can get.

I sure hope nothing exciting happens in the next 24 hours politically, I wouldn’t know what to write.

I blogged a bit yesterday morning before and after mass but today I just don’t know.

…at the very moment that this post went up.

I was planning a long post on the subject of a year without work and how it has been pretty bad, but as you might know I’m kinda busy this weekend so this will have to do.

Good News bad news…

Well the good news is I just had a very good positive interview for a position, however I have little or no Linux experience that the job requires.

I however seem to have impressed the person who would be my potential supervisor so sometime before thanksgiving he is going to call and quiz me on Linux. I have until then to learn what I can.

That is going to mean that unless I finish the Palin book tonight (unlikely as I’m only on page 47, pretty good so far) no review.

And the blogging is going to be severely limited during that time.

Update: As you can see I might not even have time to finish my sentences.

Wish me luck.

…I’ll likely donate the extra copy to a local school library but I’ll be reading this in the waiting room at the Dentist’s office for my son.

I have dinner to cook tonight as well so I’ll see if I can get the book done sometime tomorrow and get my review up as soon as possible.

Update: Just checked at Amazon, the price of the book went up $5.50 since I picked my copy up.
