Who would’ve thunk it, Kamala chose a running mate just as radical as she is

Kamala Harris proved that she is no strategic genius.  The right choice of running mate could have aided her campaign, making it easier for the Democrats to steal the upcoming presidential election.

The running mate Kamala Harris actually selected, Tim Walz, is just as much a radical leftist as she is.  This Town Hall article documents some of Governor Walz’s most extreme left wing positions.

Tim Walz absolutely loves transgenderism.

In April 2023, Walz signed a law that turned Minnesota into a “transgender sanctuary state.” House File 146 “prevents state courts or officials from complying with child removal requests, extraditions, arrests, or subpoenas related to gender-affirming health care that a person receives in Minnesota.” This gave state courts the power to take kids away if parents don’t sign off on so-called “gender-affirming” surgical procedures, allowing the state to have temporary emergency jurisdiction over the child.

Governor Walz is an avid Marxist.

Walz, who was the choice of democratic socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), sees socialism as akin to “neighborliness.”

“Don’t ever shy away from our progressive values,” the Bernie-backed candidate said on an on-camera “White Dudes for Harris” fundraiser call last week. “One person’s socialism is another person’s neighborliness.”

Tim Walz is a such a rabid supporter of Black Lives Matter that he let Minneapolis burn.

When radical Black Lives Matter militants rioted over George Floyd’s death, Walz waited days to call in the National Guard. Walz’s soft-on-crime response to the George Floyd riots allowed anti-police extremists to burn down a police station in Minneapolis and inflict $500 million in property damage. Walz himself even admitted the “abject failure” of his handling of the BLM uprising.

He made Minnesota a virtual gulag during the COVID pandemic.

Walz was a COVID-19 militant. As governor, he issued a memorandum mandating indoor masking and set up a hotline to report residents who violated COVID-19 mandates. Walz refused to take the hotline down when asked to do so.

As of April 1, 2020, the state received approximately 500 reports of “suspected violations” of Walz’s stay-at-home executive order. The number one report was of businesses that remained open when they “should [have been] closed.” Bars and restaurants that violated Walz’s guidelines ordering their closure faced criminal and civil penalties for continuing on-site sale operations. Businesses that didn’t cooperate were reported to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety’s Alcohol Gambling Enforcement Division, and law enforcement was dispatched to investigate complaints.

Like all Democrats, Tim Walz loves illegal immigrants more than citizens.

In 2023, Walz signed the “North Star Promise,” a scholarship program that gives low-income applicants, including illegal aliens, a full tuition-free ride to public Minnesota colleges and universities, as he hiked taxes on residents despite the state’s $17.5 billion surplus. Illegal aliens can also enroll in MinnesotaCare, the state’s publicly subsidized insurance program. An estimated 40,000 illegal aliens residing unlawfully in Minnesota meet the program’s requirements.

Last year, Walz signed a bill into law allowing anyone in Minnesota, regardless of immigration status, to obtain a driver’s license, including illegal aliens. This meant proof of citizenship or lawful presence in the United States was no longer required to receive one in the state. At the time, approximately 81,000 illegals were living in Minnesota. 

When It comes to abortion, Tim Walz is just as extreme as Kamala.

At the beginning of 2023, Walz enshrined the “right” to abortion without limits into Minnesota statute through the “Protect Reproductive Options Act,” an abortion-up-to-birth bill designed to shield the state’s existing statutes from future Supreme Court decisions.

He is also a climate change alarmist.

In 2022, Walz announced Minnesota’s Climate Action Framework, a 69-page plan that calls for the state to transition to “100% carbon-free electricity” by 2040. To accelerate the transition, the state will “Provide financial incentives to BIPOC and low-income community organizers to educate about EVs.”

Democrat Vice Presidential pick Tim Walz wants the three central gun controls that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have spent years pushing in Washington, DC.

Those controls–an “assault weapons” ban, universal background checks, and red flag laws–have been pushed time and again by Biden and/or Harris at every opportunity, including those in which the gun controls had absolutely nothing to do with the events that led to their mention.

Ukraine’s Interesting Offensive Into Russia

I was very surprised to hear about the new Ukrainian offensive into Russia, I didn’t see it coming and apparently neither did the Russians.

In one respect it makes a lot of sense, if there is a war of attrition Ukraine loses. It’s sort of like Lee sending troops against Washington to relieve pressure on Richmond. The difference of course is that Ukraine is getting plenty of supplies from the west and has decided to act proactively. If it works out it takes out a main Russian supply hub and complicates things for the troops in Donbass. This could give Ukraine a boost in getting better terms from Russia or perhaps cause them to decide that it just isn’t worth it or even bring down Putin.

Of course it’s also possible that it causes Russia to allocate resources to crush this offensive and drive into the heart of Ukraine figuring they’ve gone all in to raise the troops for this offensive, or even back Putin into a nuclear corner.

I have no idea how this ends but it’s a logical move if you want to change the course of a war that was heading for Ukrainian defeat.

What really surprises me is that this offensive is not only Ukraine having the balls to launch it but that it’s getting almost no coverage in the press.

I find that almost as interesting as the offensive.

One of the disadvantages of the slow revenues on the site these days is that If circumstances keep me from posting there isn’t always a post from a magnificent seven writer available as the seven are now down to four including me.

So I do apologize for not getting anything up yesterday but in fairness it has been a rare occurrence over the last 16 years. I hate to miss a story.

The NYT not so much as Insty notes:

Emhoff confirmed the story. “Vice President Kamala Harris’s husband Doug Emhoff acknowledged Saturday in a statement to CNN that he had an affair during his first marriage after the alleged details of the relationship were published by a British tabloid.”

To ask why a story like this was broken by “a British tabloid” and not the DNC-MSM is to answer the question.

The Biden Regime declared war on the Supreme Court

Democrats absolutely love the Supreme Court when that august body issues opinions that conform to progressive orthodoxy.  When the Supreme Court issues opinions that actually reflect the original meaning of the Constitution and founding principles of the United States, Democrats behave like small children. This is exactly what took place this past Monday when the Biden Regime issued the following proposal: FACT SHEET: President Biden Announces Bold Plan to Reform the Supreme Court and Ensure No President Is Above the Law | The White House

From his first day in office—and every day since then—President Biden has taken action to strengthen American democracy and protect the rule of law.

In recent years, the Supreme Court has overturned long-established legal precedents protecting fundamental rights. This Court has gutted civil rights protections, taken away a woman’s right to choose, and now granted Presidents broad immunity from prosecution for crimes they commit in office.

At the same time, recent ethics scandals involving some Justices have caused the public to question the fairness and independence that are essential for the Court to faithfully carry out its mission to deliver justice for all Americans.

The opening paragraphs of this fact sheet prove that the political left lives in an alternate universe, with a vastly different reality.

As you can see from this next paragraph, the Biden Regime is hoping to cram this farce through before the election.

President Biden and Vice President Harris look forward to working with Congress and empowering the American people to prevent the abuse of Presidential power, restore faith in the Supreme Court, and strengthen the guardrails of democracy. President Biden thanks the Presidential Commission on the Supreme Court of the United States for its insightful analysis of Supreme Court reform proposals. The Administration will continue its work to ensure that no one is above the law – and in America, the people rule.

The only positive thing you can say about the first proposed reform is that it does not violate the Constitution because it calls for a Constitutional Amendment.

No Immunity for Crimes a Former President Committed in Office: President Biden shares the Founders’ belief that the President’s power is limited—not absolute—and must ultimately reside with the people. He is calling for a constitutional amendment that makes clear no President is above the law or immune from prosecution for crimes committed while in office. 

This next proposal completely shreds Article 3 of the Constitution, which does not include an actual term limit.

Term Limits for Supreme Court Justices: Congress approved term limits for the Presidency over 75 years ago, and President Biden believes they should do the same for the Supreme Court. The United States is the only major constitutional democracy that gives lifetime seats to its high court Justices. Term limits would help ensure that the Court’s membership changes with some regularity; make timing for Court nominations more predictable and less arbitrary; and reduce the chance that any single Presidency imposes undue influence for generations to come. President Biden supports a system in which the President would appoint a Justice every two years to spend eighteen years in active service on the Supreme Court.

The third and final proposal also shreds Article 3 of the Constitution because neither the Executive Branch or the Legislative Branch are granted the authority to impose a code of conduct on the Supreme Court.

Binding Code of Conduct for the Supreme Court: President Biden believes that Congress should pass binding, enforceable conduct and ethics rules that require Justices to disclose gifts, refrain from public political activity, and recuse themselves from cases in which they or their spouses have financial or other conflicts of interest. Supreme Court Justices should not be exempt from the enforceable code of conduct that applies to every other federal judge.

Here is the actual text of Article 3 Section 1 of the Constitution.

Section 1- Judicial powers. Tenure. Compensation.

The judicial power of the United States, shall be vested in one supreme court, and in such inferior courts as the Congress may, from time to time, ordain and establish. The judges, both of the supreme and inferior courts, shall hold their offices during good behaviour, and shall, at stated times, receive for their services a compensation, which shall not be diminished during their continuance in office.
