A voice crying out in the wilderness

Watching Morning Joe this morning and the sight is astounding.

You see a single person (Joe Scarborough) pointing out that it is not a hard thing for the Obama camp to actually know what their chief of staff knows and asking why he isn’t answering questions, while a “cast of thousands” comes up with reasons why the administration can not. Sounds like John 1:23a to me:

He said, I am the voice of one crying in the desert

And that cast of thousands is not even the Obama staff, they are the reporters. When he questions why the reporters are making excuses the answer seems to be you may have a point. He is having a great time with the headline of the front page of the New York Times today:

Obama $10 Billion Promise Stirs great hope

Joe seems incredulous at this. Again I see shades of John the Baptist Matthew 3:9-10

And do not presume to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you, God can raise up children to Abraham from these stones. Even now the ax lies at the root of the trees. Therefore every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.

Sounds like a great description of the main stream press lets play with that quote and call it Joe 3:9-10.

Don’t say I went to journalism school so that is what will bring the readers. I say the internet and blogs can take anyone in their pajamas and turn it into an investigative reporter!

The real question is how long the public will put up with this nonsense.

Update: As expected the Hotair has the clip. You know I sometimes wonder how I got along before Hotair was launched.

Update: Here is a clip from Morning Joe yesterday on the subject.

You have some patching to do

This is job one Wednesday morning for you all:

Microsoft Corp. is taking the unusual step of issuing an emergency fix for a security hole in its Internet Explorer software that has exposed millions of users to having their computers taken over by hackers.

The “zero-day” vulnerability, which came to light last week, allows criminals to take over victims’ machines simply by steering them to infected Web sites; users don’t have to download anything for their computers to get infected, which makes the flaw in Internet Explorer’s programming code so dangerous. Internet Explorer is the world’s most widely used Web browser.

Well you shouldn’t worry, its not like Internet explorer has 89% of the browser market. Oh wait:

Microsoft said it plans to ship a security update, rated “critical,” for the browser on Wednesday. People with the Windows Update feature activated on their computers will get the patch automatically.

Well if you have your updates set to 3 a.m. and you leave the pc off then the auto update will not to squat for you. Personally I’d run a manual update and make sure that it is taken care of.

The download is not available yet, I’ll link to it as soon as possible but the recommended actions are listed here.

Of course you an always use firefox instead.

The patch is now available.

No contact (except maybe 21 recordings)

Well those photos were interesting but apparently that isn’t the half of it:

Sneed hears rumbles President-elect Barack Obama’s chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, is reportedly on 21 different taped conversations by the feds — dealing with his boss’ vacant Senate seat!

Via the Campaign spot.

This would explain the milk carton bit. To paraphrase Arthur Dent; This must be a new usage of “No contact” that I haven’t heard of before.

Move along nothing to see here

Well I guess that settles that.

President-elect Barack Obama said Monday a review by his own lawyer shows he had no direct contact with Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich about the appointment of a Senate replacement, and transition aides did nothing inappropriate.

What no special prosecutor no senate hearings, no house grilling of witnesses?

The president-elect pledged the results of the investigation by his incoming White House counsel, Gregory Craig, would be released “in due course.”

He said the probe was complete and thorough, but did not say which of his aides Craig interviewed, whether any of them was under oath at the time, or any other details.

Oh that explains it after all its been what, maybe two whole weeks. How much more thorough do you want?

Update: Gateway pundit plays where’s Rahmo?
