about the abortion language from the agreed Executive Order than they did yesterday when they said:

Like yesterday. Healthcare for Men passed because President Obama issued an Executive Order endorsing and enforcing the sweeping anti-abortion Nelson amendment provisions in the bill. The White House’s amazingly effective mind-control tactic to obscure what was happening was to use the words “longstanding” and “status quo” throughout the language of the Order and the accompanying press statement. No change here, nope. Longstanding…status quo…you’re getting sleeeeeepy….

It would appear Planned parenthood thinks otherwise and abortions are their bread and butter.

As I said in comments we who oppose abortion as an intrinsic evil and those who consider it a civil right can’t be both right here, so which of us is wrong?

It must have been to re-assure the “abortion caucus” that any deal involving Stupak didn’t really restrict abortion. At least that’s my guess.

The Camp of the Saints had this to say about Bart Stupak:

Representative Bart Stupak Is A Cheap Crack Whore

Well according to this link from Glenn I guess we can pull the “Cheap” line out:

U.S. Congressman Bart Stupak (D-Menominee) announced three airports in northern Michigan have received grants totaling $726,409 for airport maintenance and improvements. The funding was provided by the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration.

It’s amazing what a few hundred thousand dollars will do to a person’s convictions.

Update: Michelle picks up the Susan B Anthony story.

You are going to hear a lot of that name in the near future. Bart Stupak’s opponent for congress is picking up facebook friends like Movie producers pick up aspiring starlets.

I can almost guarantee that he will be raking in the money and will suddenly be put in a position to make a race of it.

Mr. Stupak did this to himself, if Mr. Dan Benishek becomes a congressman he should send an engraved thank you to both Mr. Stupak and President Obama.

Mr. Stupak made the mistake of becoming the face of “principled” opposition. His volte face combined with the Youtube revelation has been the gift for the radical left, it has focused anger on him.

Not the wisest move in the world.

Update: And it keeps coming

Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund President Marjorie Dannenfelser said the group was revoking its “Defender of Life” award to Stupak, which was to be awarded at its Wednesday night gala.

“We were planning to honor Congressman Stupak for his efforts to keep abortion-funding out of health care reform. We will no longer be doing so,” Dannenfelser said. “Let me be clear: any representative, including Rep. Stupak, who votes for this health care bill can no longer call themselves ‘pro-life.'”

You know in an internet age when people have credit cards, it is likely not a good idea to enrage a group of people at a time when they are most motivated to do something about it. Everything costs something.

Update 2: The text of the statement is here.
