Big Government makes it impossible to have fun at a famous lake

I live in a medium sized town in Massachusetts.  In my town there is lake with a rather famous name, a name that is found in the Guinness Book of Records.  This lake is now rather infamous amongst us locals because of the way it is managed by the town government. Residents constantly complain that a day spent there is no where as much fun as it used to be.  I completely agree with them.  Every bit of fun you could have at this picturesque lake has been banned.

When I was young you could swim anywhere you wished.   If you chose to swim outside of the area guarded by lifeguards it was swim at your own risk.  About a decade ago the town government outlawed all swimming outside of the roped in area, you could only wade everywhere else.  This was done for our safety.  I have no memory of anyone drowning back when we were allowed to swim where ever we wished but the nanny state knows best.  Only big government can decide what is acceptable risk for each and every individual.   We are all too stupid.

Today even walking in ankle deep water outside of the roped off area is verboten.  If you dare to engage in this outrageously risky behavior the lifeguards scold you and demand you return to your proper place.  Forget about playing catch with a nerf football or floating peacefully on an air mattress.

After a few individuals left a mess and dumped hot coals into the wrong trash barrels no one can grill at the town beach.  A much more just system would be to punish the guilty and let the rest enjoy themselves.  That ain’t how big government operates.

I would love to sit back at the lake, relax, and enjoy one of my homebrewed beers.  Just because a small percentage of individuals would drink themselved into the state of intoxication, no one is allowed to consume any adult beverages at the lake.

The town government robbed everyone at the lake of the freedom to enjoy themselves. This was done slowly, incrementally, over time.  It happened so slowly that few noticed, and fewer spoke up against it.  That is just how freedom most often dies.

Transgenderism is a denial of reality.  It is a rejection of some of the most fundamental scientific truths.  The vast majority of species on this planet are divided into to two biological sexes.  Unlike some species, the physical differences between male and female human beings are quite remarkable.  These differences extend all the way down to the genetic level. 

The political left believes that simply denying fundamental truths can make them untrue.  They are very much like small children because they still believe that pretending can over rule reality.  That is exactly what is taking place when someone identifies as the opposite biological sex.

I believe every individual has the right to identify as the opposite sex if they chose , however, no one has the right to force others to participate in anyone else’s delusions.   Forcing others to use someone’s referred pronouns violates the freedom of speech and the free exercise of religion of everyone.  The Biden Regime issued an executive order forcing all employees in the US to use preferred pronouns, in direct violation of the First Amendment.

The transgender ideology is very much a religion.  It is a system of beliefs that rely on faith rather than scientific principals.  The Biden regime’s executive order enshrines transgenderism as the official religion of the United States, in direct violation of the Establishment of Religion Clause of the First Amendment.

Individuals who believe they are trapped in the body of the opposite sex suffer from a mental illness called gender dysphoria.  Rather than treating this mental illness, healthy bodies are mutilated surgically, in direct violation of the Hippocratic Oath. Doctors prescribe hormones and puberty blockers in what is known as ‘gender affirming care.’  This does tremendous damage to the bodies of those subjected to it, very much like chemical warfare.

It is absolutely despicable that children are subjected to surgical mutilation, and all other aspects of gender affirming care.  There is an epidemic of gender confusion among children, caused by nonstop indoctrination at all levels of our schools.  It is unconscionable that these confused children are then subjected to life destroying gender affirming care.

The Democrats finally got Trump – now we have to make them pay for it!

After more absurd attempts than the entire run of Wile E. Coyote cartoons, Democrats finally succeeded at getting Trump.  All it took was an utterly corrupt District Attorney,  a similarly dishonest judge, twelve partisan jurors, and a complete trampling of the American judicial system. This was the culmination of almost eight years of constant scheming  

At the beginning of each previous attempt Democrat politicians, their sycophants in the news media and Hollywood, and their useful idiot foot soldiers celebrated with extreme glee.  They only had their hopes dashed over and over again as their schemes failed just as surely as if they came directly out of an Acme catalog.

The total glee the usual collective mob of leftists displayed at the verdict out of New York was exactly what everyone on the political right expected.   Check out this statement from George Stephanopoulos.

And we begin, Michael, with another first in American history. Donald Trump, now the first and only man who’s held the presidency to face a felony conviction. There you see the verdict sheet filled out by a New York jury. Guilty on all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records as part of an illegal scheme to corrupt the 2016 election that made him president. This is the third time this year that citizen jurors have held Trump accountable. In January, an $83.3 million judgment for defaming E. Jean Carroll. In February, a $450 million judgment for civil fraud in his business dealings. Juries. Ordinary people doing their duty under enormous stress, demonstrating civic courage. Remarkably, convicted felons can run for president. So, this year, in this extraordinary time, American voters will be the ultimate jurors. We’re going to cover the fallout of this unprecedented event.

It has been abundantly clear that this fraudulent verdict has infuriated Conservatives and Libertarians to a level that the Democrats never expected in their wildest dreams.  It is as if they poked a sleeping dragon in the eye.  Also a large percentage of Independents immediately rallied to Trump’s defense. 

As you can see from this headline, Donald Trump campaign has raised over $200 MILLION in just THREE days since guilty felony verdict, son Eric Trump claims (dailymail.co.uk), Trump received an absolute avalanche of donations immediately after the verdict was issued.

The conviction of President Trump will go down in history as one of the greatest legal travesties ever perpetrated.  One of the most crucial safeguards of our freedom, the jury box, has been desecrated by this farce.

We must make the political left pay using the soap box.  Let the world know how outrageous this verdict truly is on social media.  I know it will be difficult because the left has compromised the soap box through censorship on social media.

We must make them pay at the ballot box. We must vote for Trump in such large numbers that another stolen election is impossible.  Reelecting Trump is the only way of preserving the shattered remains of our Constitutional Republic.  If Biden is reinstalled in the White House, the only of way of restoring the United States is using the cartridge box

The Libertarian Party went totally woke and that is good news for Trump

I have never been a fan of the Libertarian Party.  Actually, I rather despise them.  They give true Libertarians like myself a bad name.  Most of the Libertarian Party’s platform is asinine, having very little to do with actual liberty.  Only a small percentage of the membership are true Libertarians. The rest only identify as Libertarians because the think that word sounds cool.

This past week Donald Trump spoke at this year’s Libertarian Pary convention, hoping to possibly garner their endorsement.  A sizable percentage of those in attendance behaved rather childishly, they booed and raised a ruckus with kazoos that were passed out by convention organizers.  That was nothing compared to the immaturity the membership demonstrated when they chose their nominee.

For decades, the Libertarian Party was the edgier conscience of the Republican Party. It was louder and prouder about wanting a small government rather than the behemoth that Republicans helped birth.  However, libertarians still recognized that smaller government must be grounded in the Constitution and morality. For example, Ron Paul’s pro-life stance reflected the fact that constitutional liberty starts with the first spark of life. This year, however, the Libertarian Party abandoned the Constitution and nominated a presidential candidate indistinguishable from the most radical people in Biden’s base. That’s good for Trump.

There has often been animosity between Conservatives and Libertarians.  Here is one of the primary reasons.

Frankly, most people really don’t think about the Libertarian Party. Depending on their political orientation, they either resent or celebrate it when the 2-3% of votes it gets in every election harm a Republican candidate in a close race.

This election I believe the Libertarian presidential candidate will steal more votes from Biden than Trump for this reason:

Now, the Libertarian Party has gone even further down the path to irrelevance because of its chosen presidential candidate, a guy named Chase Oliver. Oliver is essentially a rehashed far-left Democrat. Indeed, he was once a Barack Obama supporter. He is gay, pro-trans, pro-abortion, pro-open borders, pro-drugs, and pro-Hamas. However, he’s all in for big government when it comes to masks, vaxes, and lockdowns.

In other words, Oliver is indistinguishable from any other member of the Democrat party. He’s not supporting a small, moral, pro-American government; he’s just a radical leftist who’s found a welcoming new niche.

This article documents the radical positions held by Mr. Oliver.  I read thru the article and came to the conclusion that he is fine with all forms of tyranny as long as the tyranny is perpetrated by private groups rather than by governments.  This includes forced masking by businesses and liberal mob rule in the form of transgender ideology.

The Babylon Bee wrote a perfect satire article summing up this farce.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Libertarian Party has concluded its convention and nominated its latest presidential candidate: a 20-foot-tall, rainbow-colored, glass bong.

The gay, oversized marijuana smoking device edged out candidates RFK Jr., Donald Trump, and Sparklepaws the Transgender Furry to secure the coveted nomination to run for President this November.
