Well at least something is selling

It appears that the Obama administration has managed to stimulate at least one sector of the economy:

Firearms sales have soared the past couple of months, and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) attributes this to concerns about incoming lawmakers.

A recent poll done by Southwick Associates, which specialize in economic and business statistics related to fish and wildlife, revealed that 80 percent of respondents said they expect it will become more difficult for them to purchase firearms under the current administration. Less than 1 percent indicated they expect gun purchases to become less difficult.

Increases in firearm sales since the November election are a strong indicator these polls are correct. The NSSF cited data from the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), which showed a 24 percent increase in firearms purchaser background checks for the month of December 2008 over the prior December.

A friend of mine hit a gun store just across the NH border said the place was very busy and the owner said his sales were way up.

Hey and these support manufacturing jobs too the best type.

Zombie vote wants it’s due

Today we discover that its not just women and children that are hardest hit by this economy:

Joblessness up 20% among Zombie Population Many claim discrimination in favor of the living.

The Star Village World Inquisitor elaborates:

Lobbyists for the undead that try to peddle their influence on Capital Hill usually get rounded up and thrown into incinerators out of the sheer ignorance of the living. Most people that have been willing to help the undead in their efforts are shunned by others of their kind.

“Only through tolerance can we overcome this burden,” says Car the Zombie, spokesperson for the undead.

Considering the money that is being thrown around it was inevitable that the Zombie population would want its share of the pie, particularly since Acorn has been registering them and they have been a powerful voting bloc in Chicago for decades. Looks like Glenn was way ahead of the curve.

Via Gimmie 5 Cents who proves the economy is worse than we thought. After all during the depression they wanted you to spare a dime, he’s asking half price even with inflation!
