Both Kathleen and the commentators at Amy Siskind post seem to be asserting that Sarah Palin was asking for it.
I’d like to ask how I’m supposed to teach my sons respect for women when stuff like this is defended even by women?

They were trumped by a dose of real life and errands. Add to that a great book (The case for Christ). My discovery of the very fun variant of Civilization Beyond the Sword (Defense), a few family squabbles and posting just takes last place.
I didn’t even get to see Ellsbury steal home against the Yanks.
BTW impressive as that is do you know that a Young Rod Carew stole home seven times in one season?
Life is good but busy

Sorry about the lack of posting today, but as Glenn would say I’ve been busy having a life, and a lot of good has been happening:
The oldest got his first car. (My 88 year old aunt flunked her eye test and gave it to him. Michael Graham will be cheering that she is off the road.)
He also got a Son’s of Italy scholarship, that will take care of books and the like.
The youngest has been doing well both in school and with his girl and I’m pleased to say some rather responsible decisions have been made and discussed by him.
A good prospect has come up that might mean employment next month.
And you know what, just sitting here at the computer and watching the wife in the next room. 21 years hasn’t made her any less cute.
What more could a guy ask from life than all that?
In the end political moves can annoy me how can they make things bad when I’ve got all that going for me?
And that doesn’t even count the friends. Some of them are very far left, but as far as I’m concerned they are all right with me. I wouldn’t trade them for a two term Palin presidency!
Off with the youngest and his girlfriend to Funspot the largest arcade in the world for a day of pinball and video games. (well pinball for me and other stuff for them.) Blogging will be rather light with only some scheduled posts if any.
