Be aware folks this is coming here if at all possible.

But Lord Justice Munby and Mr Justice Beatson ruled that laws protecting people from discrimination because of their sexual orientation ‘should take precedence’ over the right not to be discriminated against on religious grounds.

The landmark case heard that the couple, who are now considering an appeal, argued their rights are being ‘trumped’ by those of homosexuals under equality legislation.

Outside the Royal Courts of Justice in London Mrs Johns stood alongside her husband as she said: ‘We are extremely distressed at what the judges have ruled today.

‘All we wanted was to offer a loving home to a child in need. We have a good track record as foster parents.

‘But because we are Christians, with mainstream Christian views on sexual ethics, we are apparently unsuitable as foster parents.

One question, forgetting the absurdity and the religious blacklisting of Christians, would this same judge be willing to make the same judgment if a Muslim couple wanted to adopt?

HA!

And you thought Jody Foster had a crush problem:

“I am falling in love with her… She is goregeous that I cann’t forget her just right away”

Apparently our arrested terrorist had a crush on an American girl and Eric Dondero has been doing some digging and asks if rejection drove him finally over the terror edge? PJ Tattler found his facebook page and has continued to dig. Stacy McCain being the expert in digging notes that the narrative on his blog/facebook don’t seem to fit details of the story:

The government’s accusation that Aldawsari turn to terrorism contrasts sharply with his earlier blog entries. As Preston notes at PJM, Aldawsari wrote:

This is an opportunity to be in the US to achieve my dream that I am working very hard and I am doing my best to catch it, that dream is mainly and simply to be an employee in google which is not impossible to achieve even if it is hard…

So he went from wanting to work for Google to wanting to kill President Bush? Or was his blog (part in English, part in Arabic) part of an elaborate ruse to hide his actual intent?

All of this is very early, but I suspect that the media being the media they will be steering more toward the love unrequited bit vs the Radical Islam angle. After all we know Islam is a religion of peace.

There is a time for diplomatic talk and there is a time for blunt talk. Allen West is a blunt talking person

Via NiceDeb. It’s amazing how quickly supporters of radical Islam wilts when someone actually knows history.

One of my few disappointments at CPAC was being unable to interview Ayyan Hirsi Ali .

Ayaan at the table

I attended her book signing but her security would not let me approach for an interview despite repeated requests. Given the danger she is in regularly I certainly have no business complaining.

I was slightly surprised that there wasn’t a longer line for her. Of course her books have been out for a while so a fair amount of people have already seen them. I also found it ironic that the book signing area was right next to the Muslims for America booth and the gentleman running it while I was there seemed a tad uncomfortable when she was there. Of course that could be entirely my perspective.

As soon as the base signing was done she was hustled out of the area via a back spot, stoping only to greet John Bolton.

John bolton and Ayaan Hirsi Ali

They talked for a bit and I had some hope of approaching again, but her security came to me again and rejected the idea of a short interview. Normally one would press the issue and I made it a point to stay close enough so that if anything changed or if through some quirk she headed into the main area I would be ready but alas it was not to be. What I did instead was interview one of the people in the line waiting for the chance to have her book signed.

I actually should have thought of bringing my own copies from home but I was carting enough stuff as it was.
