Media’s opening attacks on Trump allies

The media hit squads have launched their opening salvos against two key Trump supporters, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem and U.S. Senate candidate David McCormick.

“As the chances that former President Donald Trump will pick South Dakota GOP Gov. Kristi Noem as his running mate are growing, so too is scrutiny over everything from her policy positions to her new teeth,” The Wall Street Journal wrote recently. “Her stance on abortion. Her opposition to TikTok. And most puzzling to many, her decision earlier this month to post a lengthy video on Instagram praising a cosmetic dentistry practice in Texas for fixing her teeth.”

In a recent speech, Noem expressed her exasperation about media stories.  “I mean they’re just attacking me like crazy right now,” Noem said, according to an audio recording obtained by POLITICO. “But listen, that’s a good thing. It’s a good thing because it makes you stronger, and it teaches you really what you’re up against, and it makes you recognize how much they lie, how much they will twist, how much they will manipulate. And you just have to be strong and be happy warriors.”

In a similar assault on a major Trump supporter, The New York Times attacked McCormick, the Republican nominee for Senate in Pennsylvania, a must-win state in the 2024 presidential election.

“David McCormick’s origin story goes something like this: He grew up in rural Pennsylvania, southwest of Scranton. He baled hay, trimmed Christmas trees and otherwise worked on the family’s farm. And from those humble beginnings, he rose to achieve the American dream,” The Times stated. “But interviews in Mr. McCormick’s hometown, as well as a review of public records, news coverage from his childhood and his own words, suggest that he has given a misleading impression about key aspects of his background.”

The McCormick campaign issued a lengthy rebuttal of DaTimes story: “The New York Times has published a story filled with frivolous lies about my childhood. If it weren’t so demeaning to my parents’ lifelong teaching careers and the town. I’m so proud to have been raised in, it might be funny. The simple fact is The New York Times is lying….I knew getting into this race could mean things would get nasty, but it’s sad to see we’ve fallen so far that one of our nation’s oldest papers of record is pushing the Democrats’ baked narrative.”  For more, see https://secure.winred.com/mccormick-pa/nyt-response-email-acs

Noem and McCormick won’t be the last Trump supporters to face increased attention. Unfortunately, It’s a long time until November with plenty of journalistic time and space to fill.

Hey just because we’re cutting jobs and laying off people doesn’t mean that the economy isn’t the envy of the world. All you plebs who think otherwise just because your companies are laying off or closing warehouses that were booming in the Trump years just don’t see the big picture. Plenty of people are doing well, look at the NFL, they’re not trying to trim staff, oh wait…

While the NFL’s postseason is days away, it is layoffs, rather than playoffs, that are a principal concern within the league’s Park Avenue, Manhattan headquarters. Industry sources say that 200-plus tenured league employees across departments were emailed a voluntary buyout package Monday. When adding age and years of service, any employee with a total of 70 or above qualified for the package, sources said.

Among the benefits offered in the package: three weeks salary for every year served, plus bonuses. Employees have until late February to take the buyout, sources said. The Super Bowl is Feb. 11.

National media ignores big Chicago anti-migrant march

Sure, there’s a lot of another news to sift through–the Israel-Hamas War is the biggest story right now–but on Friday, there was another protest march against the building of a large tent city migrant camp at 38th and California in the Brighton Park neighborhood on Chicago’s Soutwest Side.

The city has signed a lease on the tent city site, but it’s not a done deal, official say, as the final decision is pending an environmental survey.

It will happen, I am sure.

And as far as I can tell, the national mainstream media ignored Friday’s protest. That’s because the march, in a predominately Hispanic neighborhood with a large Asian presence, contradicts at least a couple of leftist narratives. Because they are “oppressed,” people of color are always on the same side against the majority. 

Of course, that majority is white people. While whites are the largest racial group in Chicago, America’s third largest city–for now–hasn’t a majority racial group for decades.

The other leftist narrative that the Brighton Parch marches and protests exposes as a lie is that the cities are havens from the xenophobia, unlike the exurbs and rural America, where those deplorable MAGA people live.

The Chicago Sun-Times and the Chicago Tribune, both woke outlets, reported that “hundreds” participated in the Brighton Park anti-migrant march. 

ABC Chicago says that “residents have been protesting against the migrant base camp for weeks” and overall, “the pushback has been relentless.”

Oh sure, some goof from the New York Times, Mitch Smith, says Brighton Park is “divided” over the tent city, which is expected to house 2,000 migrants, most of the will probably be from Venezuela. But it sure seems hard to find Brighton Park denizens who support the Bidenville.

As I explained in my post last month about the opposition of the migrant camp in Brighton Park, residents learned from the rumor mill that the tent city was coming, not even the local alderman, a left-wing Hispanic woman was told about it. 

Chicago’s new mayor, Brandon Johnson, a full-blown leftist who, according to the rumor mill, has recently suffered from panic attacks, in his mind is always right.  Why is that?

Have you ever met a leftist who admitted to being wrong about something? 

Like Robespierre, Marx, and Lenin, contemporary leftists like Johnson believe they have the inevitability of history on their side.

But Robespierre ended up on the guillotine and the Soviet Union collapsed.

The decision to build the Brighton Park tent city, if it didn’t come directly from Johnson, who by the way is African American, surely it was the brainchild of a top aide of his.

So, another leftist narrative is collapsing. Nothing to see here, the media collectively says to itself. But let’s push out another dozen stories about MAGA insurrectionists.

Oh, let’s say that instead of building the migrant camp in Brighton Park, the Johnson administration chose instead a site inside the city’s 41st Ward, a predominately white area where many Chicago police officers and firefighters live. In 2020, Donald Trump came close to beating Joe Biden in that ward. 

And let’s say anti-migrant protests and marches were held in the 41st Ward. 

Such events would be the lead story for days on CNN and MSNBC. And the New York Times would have sent more than one reporter there.

I am shocked SHOCKED at the number of media people and pols in places from Australia to Canada to New York who are shocked SHOCKED at the number of Muslims in their countries who are all for kidnapping women, gang raping them , murdering them and the desecration of their bodies.

All you had to do is pay attention to what they’ve been saying for years to know this.

A basic rule that every Sicilian knows is this: If someone says they want to kill you, believe them.

of course given the Tom Hagen math of Islam in America I suspect the outcry against this by Dems will be at brief at best.

I was actually rather shocked to find out that Israel had loosened their guns laws in the wake of the Hamas attacks. Not because it was a bad move but I naturally presumed that a nation where almost everyone serves and is constantly under terror threat already had their civilians well armed.

That they have not is a tribute to wishful thinking and idiocy.

However it has provided an answer to the question oft asked by the left: “Why does anyone need an AR-15 and if they suggest that the US is not Israel all we have to do is show pictures of those marching in New York and DC and elsewhere in support of murder, gang rape and kidnapping.

Apparently there will be regular updates from Israel on how the fighting is going, this is the first one:

Yesterday I suggested that Israel needs to fight General Sherman’s War and to consider the hostages dead and not hold back based on them ,of course if they can save them they should but not at the cost of destroying Hamas. :

The only way to prevent this from happening again is to destroy their ability to make war. It will be messy and it will be horrible, but it will end the threat from Gaza once and for all.

They need to take to heart these words by General William Tecumseh Sherman

  • You cannot qualify war in harsher terms than I will. War is cruelty, and you cannot refine it; and those who brought war into our country deserve all the curses and maledictions a people can pour out. 

And those curses need to be poured out in Gaza to all those who aid abet and cheer Hamas’ actions in the same way that Sherman poured those curses on the people of Georgia and the Carolinas. What are your critics going to say that they aren’t already saying about you now? Sherman again:

  •  “We are not only fighting hostile armies, but a hostile people, and we must make old and young, rich and poor, feel the hard hand of war.” The hard war was here for Georgia. “We cannot change the hearts and minds of those people of the South, but we can make war so terrible . . . [and] make them so sick of war that generations would pass away before they would again appeal to it.”

The time for mercy is after the enemy is defeated and helpless at your feet, until then the war should be fought hard until it’s won.

Well I don’t have the readership I once did in Israel but it appears somebody took this advice to heart:

Israel has decided that its attacks on terrorist targets in Gaza will be carried out with great force and breadth, even at the cost of harming Israelis who are being held captive in Gaza, a senior government source tells reporters.

The source clarifies that if Israel has precise intelligence information on the location of Israeli captives, it will of course refrain from attacking in that specific location. But so long as no such information exists, all Hamas targets will be attacked.

So will will be Sherman’s War instead of the old game after all. Given that the left has always accused Israel of genocide I can’t think that their cries are going to make much of a difference.

Finally one might wonder how one of the supposedly finest intelligence agency in the world got caught off guard and how the US got caught off guard as well.

Given the US armies priorities of transgenderism and progressive indoctrination and the FBI’s giving priority of targeting parents at school board meetings, Trump voters and Catholics who regularly attend mass I’m not shocked that they had no time to watch for this kind of thing.

But now I understand that the Mossad was concentrating on fighting Bibi these days.

Might I suggest that taking a page out of the American left’s playbook is always a bad idea.
