The Steelers and Saints are as I’m typing this in the first quarter in Paris. I suspect the amount of security at the stadium is incredible.
Several fan events had been cancelled for safety reasons as the left continues to riot, but at least for now the game goes on.
I suspect the game will go off safely, but if I had advice for any fans from the US I’d make sure I’m on a plane faster then the modern French raise the white flag.
The revelation that at least one polling firm was making up numbers and that those numbers highly favored Democrats is no surprise.
There is so much in the left that is incredibly false but the real damage here is to the left.
Conservatives as a whole don’t trust the polls to begin with but Democrats who bought what was being sold likely poured money into a lot of races that they either didn’t have a chance in or deluded them into a sense of security.
I still have no idea what will happen but we’ll see.
The Ilhan Omar story has been a huge surprise to me.
Not the fraud and deceit, I saw that coming a mile away.
What shocked me is that the justice department is actually pursuing justice. Apparently they’ve been building the case for a while and went where the facts were. An administration willing to do this is all it took for this to happen.
If I didn’t understand why the left was so intent on destroying Trump, this clinched it.
The Omar case highlights something I’ve talked about before.
It takes only a few seconds to type out a tweet to express outrage.
It takes only a few minutes, or maybe a few hours depending on the quality of what you’re writing to complain why the administration is so slow in going after fraudsters and grifters
If you wanted a panel of “experts” to declare the Iran war lost for a show or podcast you can manage that in less than a week.
BUT if you want to actually accomplish things, build things, get things done that will hold up over time or stand up to legal scrutiny. This takes time, effort and sober thought.
If your goal is to get clicks & eyeballs to sell the first three on my list are fine, if you want to actually DO things, get things done and achieve goals, none of those things matter.
Trump is a builder, he knows this.
Barring a not quite untimely death (Trump after all is 80 you know, a strong and healthy 80 but still 80) in two years and two weeks we will know who our next president is.
There are literally millions of people who have invested their entire lives and souls into hatred of Donald Trump convinced that he is the source of all evil and all of their problems and have made their hatred of him define them.
When he is out of office I suspect this will create a big empty hole within them, but I suspect they will pretend that Trump is still running things from the outside. If Trump is as much like Teddy Roosevelt as I think he is, he might even complain if a Vance or a Rubio heads in a direction he doesn’t like which might feed all this.
But it’s a real possibility that all these wild leftists will have a big hatred hole in the psyche that will have to be filled by something.
I suspect that doesn’t bode too well for the country & even less for them, but you never know perhaps for some it will be a chance for self awareness.
Hey I have the right to hope don’t I?
