Morning Joe vs. Sarah Palin? Surprise, Surprise, Surprise!

To the shock of nobody, Morning Joe goes after Sarah Palin as a one trick pony this morning. I can guarantee that this week Deepak Chopra will be there to tout his story in the huff po.

It is interesting to note what journalists from abroad saw vs some on the left that already has their own image of both the Tea Parties and Sarah Palin.

If you want to be surprised, be surprised that they haven’t gone nuts over her hand like the rest of the left UPDATE: Andrea Mitchell does it later in the cast. If you are surprised at the hand job jokes from our enlightened members of the left who are supposedly not a bit sexist then you haven’t read the reclusive leftist at all in the last 18 months:

Will it never end? Tonight the news is full of yammering about Sarah Palin writing on her hand. This is apparently more evidence that she is a moron bimbo from outer space, etc., etc., etc.

I used to have a boyfriend who wrote on his hand. I thought it was a rather juvenile habit for a grownup, but whatever. (I used to ask him why he didn’t just buy a fricking notepad. He insisted that hands were more convenient.) The thing is, nobody ever accused him of being stupid because of it. He had a graduate degree or two and was a successful executive in the financial industry.

What kinds of things did he write on his hand? The same kinds of things I write on my notepad. Words. Names. Reminders that are meaningless to anyone else.

So Sarah Palin writes on her hand. Just like my ex-boyfriend. Big whoop.

And if it isn’t hand jobs, it is a Chris Wallace eye roll? Give me a break!

Watching Andrea Mitchell this morning I’m shocked she doesn’t have a coronary every time Palin goes on stage anywhere. Oh now Mitchell goes with the hand stuff. What a bunch of losers!

Wanda Sykes gives comment on the NBC menu business.

One of the most significant reasons for the decline that the White House and the MSM has suffered is they have made themselves open to ridicule and comedians such as John Stewart have driven through that opening.

When you have Morning Joe’s Mika laughing at that joke you have real problems.

Did the NBC commissary hire Gabriel Iglesias last week or something? If you don’t get the reference watch the video “Racist Gift Basket Prank”: Warning F-Bombs likely not work safe…but VERY funny.

Update: Michelle is right, if it was Fox there would be no other story in the world today.

Were none of these people employed as journalists in 2008? They certainly believe that Morning Joe viewers don’t read Kausfiles.

You want to see enablers of John Edwards Tina, look in the mirror.

At the time, Edwards thought he had outsmarted the watchdogs of the press, frustrating their best attempts to uncover the story. But it later turned out that many journalists just didn’t want to report the news and hadn’t tried very hard to uncover the facts.

And then again July 2008, Edwards is actually caught in a Hotel:

The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, the broadcast networks and the cable news outlets — none reported the story. And yet this time it bubbled up, from the blogs to talk radio to late-night television. By the second week of August, Edwards appeared on ABC News to semi-confess.

An explosive scandal had been kept out of the press for months at a time when the man at the center of it was an important player in national politics. Why? Young thought it was because the Edwards camp so tightly controlled information that journalists weren’t able to find sources to corroborate the Enquirer’s reporting. Perhaps that was part of it. But the fact was, many editors and reporters just didn’t want to tell the story. They admired Elizabeth Edwards. They saw no good in exposing John Edwards’ sordid acts.

Journalists saw no good in exposing the sordid acts of a former, senator, vice presidential and presidential candidate.

Remember Media when you ask why you aren’t trusted or respected remember that you did this to yourselves.

…to save author Gary Wills and people like him from embarrassment when they travel in Europe.

The author actually said on Morning Joe today this was the good thing about replacing George Bush with Barack Obama and the crew nodded in agreement.

I’m sure Mr. Willis is a smart man and his book on the “National Security State” might be pretty good, but I have a piece of advice for him. If you find people wanting to pity or laugh at you when you travel, you need to do one thing.

MAN UP!

If a grown man can’t deal with what people abroad feel about him or his country then he has a lot more to worry about than who is president.
