At the end of it Evangelical Christian Joe Scarborough said “Happy Holidays” and proud and public atheist Christopher Hitchens said “Merry Christmas.” To quote his column of the 11th:

I myself repose no faith in any man-made text or made-man redeemer, so when it’s Christmas I say “Merry Christmas” with a clear conscience, as I respect Ramadan and Passover, and also because “Happy Holidays” is so thin and insipid.

And Joe you might want to bush up on your scripture a bit, particularly Matt 10:32-33.

I’ve always liked Chris Hitchens even though he is seriously embedded with Palin Derangement syndrome and it was because of that syndrome that he made it on the last segment on MSNBC’s Morning Joe today.

In between talking sense on the war (which he always does) and pointing out that Joe Biden insulted Afghanistan with his “Good luck in your senior year” crack; (BIG NEWS) he backed up Eugene Robinson on his Palin Hit today and derided and insulted the governor so strongly that his old friends on the left might be tempted to have him back. Andrea Mitchell agreed but nobody can throw an insult like Chris Hitchens can, his insults are almost high art.

Somehow nobody at that MSNBC table mentioned climategate as a probable cause for any shift:

The president’s decision to attend the international climate conference in Copenhagen needs to be reconsidered in light of the unfolding Climategate scandal.

That is the first line in her Facebook post. Let’s look at the first line of her post op-ed

With the publication of damaging e-mails from a climate research center in Britain, the radical environmental movement appears to face a tipping point.

This point never made it to the table. For MSNBC Climategate doesn’t exist unlike say Glenn Reynolds who this morning had 6 posts on the subject between 7:50 & 8:45 this morning.

Morning Joe is the best MSNBC has, and Joe and Mika are the fairest people on that entire network, yet one blogger in Tennessee sees the elephant in the room that they can’t.

If they aren’t embarrassed then that is only because they have lost the capability to be so.

Update: Welcome fellow readers of Conservatives for Palin. Take a peek around. Check out my review of the Governor’s book here and on Amazon and note the tags. Q: Why does this story have incredible potential to turn into major trouble for the White House.

Rod Blagojevich’s lawyers want the FBI to give up details of interviews conducted last year of President Obama, his chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, White House adviser Valerie Jarrett and others as part of the investigation into the former governor.

In a Friday filing, Blagojevich attorneys also asked for information regarding first lady Michelle Obama. However, a source said late Friday that the FBI never interviewed the first lady.

This could turn out to be absolutely nothing but I’m not so sure, Blagojevich has proven that he is a fighter and a survivor. His primary loyalty is to himself and he is not going to be shy at all about using all means necessary to keep himself out of Jail.

In addition his high profile and willingness to talk to almost anyone on Camera makes him impossible to ignore or shut up.

When the Whitehouse was riding high in the polls maybe they could count on the media to ignore him. Now I’m not so sure.

All of this is going to take months, perhaps years to play out, there might be absolutely nothing to any of it, it might be earth shaking. If I’m the White House I try to string and drag this along for as long as possible.

One side note. On morning Joe, Willie is constantly putting Blago on the “news you can’t use” section whenever there is a whiff of him in the news. I wonder if they will ignoring this bit of ACTUAL news or not? We will see.

Update: I missed the first hour but there wasn’t a peep. I don’t know if this was the lack of Willie.

…this time over Obama’s Oslo speech.

The Nobel address was Obama at his worst or near-worst. Let’s count the ways.

He then proceeds to Fisk the speech raising a some valid points. I personally think he is missing the forest for the trees but it is a valid critique.

More interesting that this is the fact that Mr. Frum will find that the media that normally fawns over him lately while trashing Palin will be quoting Palin approvingly today (as Morning Joe already has) and ignoring his take. The results for him are predictable:

Will this be a dawn of awareness concerning the media’s sudden respect for him? I wouldn’t be the farm on it. I think he might be one of the people Mike Gravel is talking about.

Update: Talk about strange bedfellows, Atlas and Bolton are with Frum on this one.
