It just might be a guess but I’ll wager Mike Lupica before today has written about Rep Bob Ingles nearly once

Rep. Bob Inglis, a voice of reason at a dumb, unreasonable time in American politics, is one of them. Inglis (R-S.C.) will be out of a job soon for not hating Barack Obama nearly enough. The irony, he says, is that he disagrees with Obama on almost everything.

Inglis, a conservative Republican from a state so red you worry it might set itself on fire, used to go after Bill Clinton with everything he had. But these days he comes up an even better American than a Republican, speaking his own mind, refusing to join a chorus of idiots and call Obama his enemy, or an enemy of the state. Inglis’ state or anybody else’s.

Nothing proves the tea parties ejection of Inglis more than his sudden deification by the liberal media. Read the column, it is a love letter to Ingles, if they were in Massachusetts they’d be booking a hall. All because he has been rejected by Conservative Republicans and the tea party and has been crying to the media ever since as if he had a divine right to the nomination.

I think Mr. Lupica has caught Scarborough Syndrome. Like Joe who will forever think that there are only 50 Al Qaeda in Afghanistan Mike Lupica will always think that president Obama has the approval rating he did on Jan 21 2009 and republicans should act accordingly

Memeorandum thread here.

…at David Horowitz News Real Blog about the sudden invisibility of Shirley Sherrod and that’s this.

From what I’ve seen of Andrew Breitbart he is a great poker player, but looking closer and closer at the Sherrod case he might just be a chess player too.

You will recall he was very careful about the release of the ACORN tapes spacing them out and getting the media to fall into trap after trap until ACORN was a broken organization.

Also recall that Breitbart is a totally intergrated web person who worked regularly with Matt Drudge before venturing out on his own. He knows the web well, and that he had the initial video stuff months before he used it.

Is it reasonable to think that he would not have googled this woman? In just a few weeks enough info has come out about her that she has become radioactive. Can one assume that before his initial (and still ignored) column Brietbart or his assistants would have done the same research that others have done and been aware of the trap that the media was being setup for?

Breitbart Nailed the NAACP and the White house, but people forget, they are not his primary targets overall (although he does say in this case the NAACP was). The media is and always has been the wall that he has been chipping away at.

To what degree was this a media trap and with the deification and disappearance of Shirley Sherrod from that national conscience did he manage to make his media case after all?

What do you think?

Big Government has ’em.

I’m deeply concerned that the NAACP is being used as a political tool to do the dirty work of the progressive movement. I urge blacks concerned about the tea parties to read the Contract from America — a list of policy objectives for Congress that was developed by tea party members nationwide. These objectives are clearly about limited government and liberty. In fact, the NAACP should be very concerned Obama’s cap-and-trade energy policy will lead to higher energy prices and higher unemployment – particularly among poor and minority households.

Kevin Martin:

To label peaceful political dissent as racists is akin to the behavior of the segregationists who once labeled the peaceful dissent lead by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as troublemaking. The founders of the NAACP must be rolling in their graves at the thought that dissent against an unfair system is now considered a reason for NAACP condemnation.

R. Dozier Gray:

I wish I could be surprised that the NAACP has passed a resolution condemning the tea party movement because of alleged racism. Unfortunately, I am not. But I really just don’t get it. It’s as if simply not being totally in the Obama camp makes one automatically anti-black.

Robin Martin:

I condemn the NAACP because they are no longer advancing the cause of freedom and equality. They are instead advancing a sophomoric, short sighted, and reactionary resolution to brand the Tea Party Movement as “racist”. They act as a police group for racial bigotry but only as it pertains to black people — notice the silence of the NAACP regarding the Black Panther member’s call to bash the heads of white babies. It’s unfortunate that the NAACP has become nothing more than a divisive cabal of Black Quasi-Socialist Progressive Fundamentalist Racism Chasers who are more interested in identity politics than they are in a prosperous and free nation.

Lt. Col Allen West:

This NAACP Resolution is consistent with the Obama administration tactic of demonizing and blaming someone else for your own failures and shortcomings, and not take responsibility and accountability.

Cedra Crenshaw:

Chicago Machine Democrats claim to be the party of diversity and inclusion, yet if you are a Black, conservative Republican mother, with a professional background in accounting, supported by the tea party movement, Chicago Machine Democrats do not encourage this type of diversity. Instead they unjustly knock you off the ballot and then talk about the lack of diversity in the Republican party and the tea party movement. The NAACP plays right into this scam.

I encourage NAACP members and convention delegates to attend a tea party event and get first hand knowledge about the true purpose of the tea party movement: limited government, fiscal responsibility, and individual liberty. The NAACP needs to leave the racism where it belongs – with the Chicago Machine Democrats.

and lets finish with Marie Stoughter

What saddens me is that this organization chooses to focus on imaginary slights, while real threats to this country exist in the form of New Black Panther members who have been caught on tape intimidating voters with billy clubs. Rather than condemning this behavior, it is largely ignored by the NAACP and a presidential administration that continues to refuse to prosecute such.

The Tea Party uses “racial epithets?” I soundly condemn the NAACP for failing to rebuke the New Black Panther members for inciting racial hatred (“explicitly racist behavior”) and, yes, actually using racial epithets as evidenced by the ranting of King Samir Shabazz caught on tape.

“We’re deeply concerned about elements that are trying to move the country back, trying to reverse progress that we’ve made,” said NAACP spokeswoman Leila McDowell. “We are asking that the law-abiding members of the Tea Party repudiate those racist elements . . . that are within the Tea Party movement.”

This statement reeks of the hypocrisy that has really held this country back.

You can see on memorandum that the MSM will not talk to any of these people, it doesn’t fit the narrative.

…than to be a republican who is going after republicans:

Inglis said he was shocked during the health care votes as he watched protesters jeering Rep. John Lewis, a Georgia Democrat who was beaten as a leading civil rights activist in the 1960s.

Yes because Lewis’ situation 40 years ago means that he must never be criticized particularly by mere voters.

And of course we know there must be only reason why republicans could be against president Obama don’t we:

Inglis, 50, who calls himself a Jack Kemp disciple because he has emphasized outreach to minorities as the late Republican congressman did, thinks racism is a part of the vitriol directed at President Barack Obama.

“I love the South. I’m a Southerner. But I can feel it,” he said.

Ah racism, that must be it, there can be no other reason to oppose the president. No word on what he thinks the cause for the beating of Ken Gladney by an SEIU thug was. We know it can’t be racism since apparently the NAACP doesn’t think he isn’t black enough.

Take a look at memeorandum and you will see the left cheering like a bunch of drunks at a strip joint as he vents his anger against the base. I wonder why he is so upset?

In his primary runoff against prosecutor Trey Gowdy, Inglis failed to break 30 percent, an improbably low result for a sitting incumbent not embroiled in scandal. emphasis mine

Boy he is even less popular than the democratic party!

He says he doesn’t know what he will do after the election. If he keeps attacking the republican base he is sure to get a job as a commentator for MSM after all they are almost as popular as he is.
