The unions like it

My wife’s union got a call from her union urging her to call our senators to support the “stimulus” bill. As our Senator’s are Kennedy and Kerry that would be a waste of time as they would support this president if it was a bill to declare English Muffins a war crime, even if she was inclined to support the bill (she’s not).

That is also why I haven’t called since it would be a waste of time in Massachusetts. I’ll do it with my congressman Olver since it is the least liberal district in the state (which isn’t saying much) and from meeting him a nice guy.

This is in my opinion a really lousy bill. It’s not as bad a first move as Clinton’s don’t ask don’t tell goes but its going to be a bad hit for him. Hopefully it will bring him down to earth. The speed of the bill suggests it. And unlike the Patriot act potentially tens of thousands of life are not in immediate danger. And if you think they are, talk to some depression era people about what hard times actually are.

Please pay your taxes. We kinda need them, what with the financial crisis and the massive stimulus spending and whatnot. Thanks.

No Andrea Mitchell or Doris Kearns Goodwin nonsense for Trapper John. No blaming Bush. A straight out do the right thing. Wonderful!

I can’t say the same for Marc Ambinder.

He is very sensitive to public opinion, and his public image has taken a major beating. He was portrayed emphasis mine as a tax delinquent, a guy who lived by a different set of standards.

This is opposed to what it turned out he actually was: A tax delinquent, a guy who lived by a different set of standards.

1. The state caused when an event is so shocking to the system that it causes the head to spontaneously explode.

2. The act of one’s head exploding over events that can’t be processed.

3. The current state of Obama supporters who might now be realizing that he had less experience and legislative ability than Dan Quayle; by a LOT.

…it is still only two weeks into the Obama administration. A bad start doesn’t mean a horrible finish. See Redsox v Yankees 2004 Playoffs.

It just seems longer because of all the adoration that took place in December and Jan and the calls for President Bush to step down.

That’s not to say I’m expecting much better but we are less that 1% into the first term, lets keep some perspective here.
