Here is the March Indulgence Calendar

Here is the blank version:

and I have a little story for you. You may make of it what you will.

I brought my mike with me for total confusion because I needed to record my weekly radio show for WQPH (Queen of Perpetual Help) radio however circumstances never gave me the chance to record. So I figured no big deal I’d record on Monday which I took off but again somehow I just didn’t get a chance to record.

Now I was really getting up to a deadline so I was determined to get the show recorded right after daily mass but somehow I kept getting delayed till FINALLY I was able to get started.

I had just listed the prayer intentions for the show when the phone rang (I don’t have a cell phone) I paused the recording to hear the voice of a friend. He was hospitalized, she already had heart issues which were expected to be fatal and was now recovering from a stroke. She asked for prayers for her mother and children and there was no knowledge of how long she would be around.

Now this is the thing, if I had recorded the show at any of the times I should have it would have been in the bank and her request would have to wait for the next show to air March 9th. If I had managed to get started on my recordings early that morning as I planned same thing. And if she had called just a couple of hours later It would have been too late, I’d be at work and she would have missed me completely.

Nope she called at the exact moment in fact the last possible moment when I could squeeze in her prayer intentions to get them into the show broadcast tomorrow.

I submit and suggest that this type of thing is God’s MO and has been for millennia. Any reading of scripture shows it to be so, and I further submit and suggest that God is just as active as he was during biblical times to those who call upon him, but we’ve trained ourselves, or have been trained not to see what is in front of our faces.

At least that’s my take but feel free to make of it what you will.

I’ll say this for the Biden Administration, they’re not subtle:

The FBI is allegedly engaging in a “purge” of employees with conservative viewpoints and retaliating against whistleblowers who have made protected disclosures to Congress by revoking security clearances, the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee Rep. Jim Jordan told Fox News Digital.

Jordan, R-Ohio, said that more than a dozen FBI whistleblowers have come to him and Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee with allegations of misconduct within the FBI.

Jordan and Republicans have been investigating “serious allegations of abuse and misconduct within the senior leadership of the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.”

Who ever heard of a Stasi with more than one party represented in it?

I guess they need these prayers more than ever:

St. Matthew Novena - Day 5
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Dear Lord, we thank You for giving us St. Matthew as an example of holiness. Help us to imitate the love of You he showed in his work writing about Your life in His Gospel.

St. Matthew, you were blessed to witness the life and ministry of Jesus firsthand as His Apostle. Then, you continued to serve God by cooperating with the Holy Spirit to write your Gospel.

Please continue to bring my petitions before the throne of God!

You wrote your Gospel specifically aimed at your Jewish brethren, to help bring them to conversion. Because of your efforts and your cooperation with the Holy Spirit, many people have benefited spiritually for centuries.

Pray for me, that I may always cooperate with the Holy Spirit in my life. Pray that I may be as devoted a servant of God as you were.

Please also pray for the FBI agents involved in the Mark Houck arrest.

St. Matthew, pray for us!

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

He is enjoying this

I’m looking at the mug shot of Jared Loughner and it is pretty sad to say he is totally enjoying this.

This is the saddest thing about it all. This guy was an absolute loser and now is a part of history. I think he is going to ride this for a long time. He believes he is now somebody and THAT, not any rhetoric is the real danger when it comes to guys like this who choose the easy way to become known.

I think this guy needs prayers and I think a regular set of prayers for those disturbed that we don’t know about would be a good project for a rosary.

She has had a real rough time but a little bit of good news has turned up:

Join me in giving thanks and praise to God Most High! today I was accepted into Graduate School at St. John’s Seminary in Brighton, MA! I will be working on my Master’s in Pastoral Ministry for Laity….

More than ever I need your support — with prayers and with anything you can donate toward my tuition…the college told me to leave it all in God’s hands…

I can tell you there is absolutely no comparison between my situation and hers and anything you can do to give her a hand either via cash or via prayer would be a blessing.
