When he says he has video. Believe him.

This is why the Democratic Party is scared. This is why the NAACP is scared. This is why black conservatives, previously marginalized as “Uncle Toms” by these progressive bullies, and shamefully, the NAACP, are coming out of the woodwork to join and, in many cases, lead the Tea Party movement.

Here is the video:

And at Hotair a little more:

Actually, if Sherrod had a different ending for this story, it could have been a good tale of redemption. She almost grasps this by initially noting that poverty is the real issue, which should be the moral of the anecdote. Instead of having acted on this realization — and perhaps mindful of the audience — Sherrod then backtracks and says that it’s really an issue of race after all. It certainly was for Sherrod, who admits that “I didn’t give him the full force of what I could do.” Notice that the audience doesn’t exactly rise as one to scold Sherrod for her racism, but instead murmurs approvingly of using race to determine outcomes for government programs, which is of course the point that Andrew wanted to make.

Will the NAACP try a copyright claim to stop this. If they are smart they won’t.

I suspect Breitbart has plenty of stuff like this in the bank like obits written for very old people ready to play the cards when the time is right. He must be murder to play poker with. Who wants to be the first to call a bluff of his? Not me.

Memeorandum thread here.

Update: CBS News has picked this up. Would there be any chance at all of any CBS network reporting on racism AT the NAACP? Sometime after the second of never.

The NAACP has to be really regretting this now but not as much as Shirley Sherrod is.

The Agriculture Department announced Monday, shortly after FoxNews.com published its initial report on the video, that Sherrod had resigned.

“There is zero tolerance for discrimination at USDA, and I strongly condemn any act of discrimination against any person,” Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said in a written statement. “We have been working hard through the past 18 months to reverse the checkered civil rights history at the department and take the issue of fairness and equality very seriously.

Be afraid oh NAACP, be very afraid.

Update 2: Stacy comments:

Let’s make sure we all understand the principle involved here: Obama spends 20 years in Rev. Jeremiah “G–D— America” Wright’s church, and that’s no big deal. A low-level USDA appointee says bad stuff about white people and under the bus!

Score

Update 3: What a difference a full tape makes, egg on lots of faces, but if the NAACP had the tape all along isn’t it odd that they rushed to judgment on a woman who apparently deserves an apology?

Apparently not all that well for Think Progress for example from Conservative Generation at Left Coast Rebel:

The claims of racism in the Tea Party movement are so overblown and unsubstantiated that the best Think Progress could do to prove racism was post a video of four supposed racist Tea Partiers. Right Klik has found that of those four, two of them were not even in the Tea Parties.

Scroll down for the updates they are priceless meanwhile Confederate Yankee piles on:

Did you not think we’d remember the amusing signs your fellow liberals created for their little abortive “Crash the Tea Party” stunt in Boston? Let’s just say that some were more amusing than others, and some just showed pathetic and angry progressives often are.

There is an old saying that you’re entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts.

At Think Progress, they’re ready to make up the “facts,” yet again.

Update: Oh, Think Progress… did you really think you’d get away with it?

As a matter of fact they did, this is a religion to the left and they act accordingly.

And congratulations for their first memeorandum thread

Meanwhile over at the NAACP land of open debate a slight shift in tone:

NAACP President Ben Jealous said Thursday that the resolution passed by the group on Wednesday does not call the tea party “racist.”

The resolution the NAACP approved Wednesday at its annual conference in Kansas City, Mo., alleges that the tea party has used racial epithets against President Barack Obama and has verbally and physically abused African-American members of Congress.

A portion of the resolution does indeed characterize the behavior as “racist,” but Jealous said Thursday during an interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that the resolution was not intended to condemn the entire movement as such.

“We aren’t saying that the tea party is racist,” Jealous said. “What we’re saying is that with their increasing power comes an increasing responsibility to act responsibly … and to call out when they see those things on those signs.”

Oh no not at all funny how things were reported in those olden days of yesterday

Unfortunately for Jealous, that is not what was reported on their awful resolution.
The KC Star reported:

The resolution, scheduled for a vote as early as Tuesday by delegates attending the annual NAACP convention in Kansas City, calls upon “all people of good will to repudiate the racism of the Tea Parties, and to stand in opposition to its drive to push our country back to the pre-civil rights era.”

Jealous better start getting his facts straight. You can’t have it both ways, Ben.

For the record… The former civil rights group does not even have the courage to post their resolution online.

It was interesting to note that yesterday they were making the Washington accusation and today they were not, at least not on Morning Joe

Why is this not working out because they don’t want to see stories like this:

Black tea partiers rebut NAACP

Can’t be having that, once people realize that there are black conservatives out there running that the media ignores, the game is over.

…Benjamin Todd Jealous makes the charge on Larry King live. Teaparty365 member David Webb points out the 100k challenge and lack of evidence, and head of NAACP plays the John Lewis wouldn’t lie card.

Who are you going to believe a ton of video evidence (or lack thereof) from hundreds of recording devices there or one guy with a vested interest in bullshitting?

He challenges Jealous directly to condemn King Shamier Shabbaz. He says the New Black Panther party should condemn him and claims that “he has done that here”.

Will update further on this

Update:
Nancy Giles again says Washington Happened Dana Loesch calls her a liar and callers her out on it, Giles keeps maintaining it. Ben Stein says the tea party will hurt the GOP (totally wrong) and Stephanie Miller goes on about signs and guns. Some serious BS going on here.

Miller and Giles are now saying Johnston is lying now and say it on the show, amazing supposedly he is lying for the money now but wasn’t for the money then? What a couple of loons.

…after all an NAACP leader has declared he is not black enough.

I guess when the NAACP said they “investigate all written complaints filed with us, regardless of the complainant’s ideology.” they must have been speaking metaphorically.

So remember white racists. The NAACP at a public event has now declared, It is ok to call black men Niggers and beat them on video, as long as you beat the right black people. Maybe they will give out certificates that a particular black man is certified “not black enough” to warrant protection? I wonder if the New Black Panther party will be in charge of giving them out?

If these were tea party guys it would be all over the place, but as you can see the memeorandum cupboard is nearly bare.

Absolutely disgusting, absolutely despicable. absolutely dishonorable, absolutely liberalism.
