If you haven’t seen RFK Jr’s State of the Union Speech do so now. It you’re under 40 it’s likely the greatest political speech you will ever hear in your lifetime.

This is the type of speech that changes votes, and the reason it’s that type of speech is that is:

  1. It’s Positive
  2. It’s aspirational
  3. It challenges us to be better than we are
  4. There is absolutely no question, at least in my mind, that he believes this and means it

For someone like me it reminds me of my youth when such beliefs were the norm, Donald Trump vowed to make America Great Again and he pretty much kept that promise as President, Robert Fitzgerald Kennedy Jr. in this speech reminded us WHY America was great in the first place and has done so at a time when we as a nation have forgotten it. In my youth Americans believed this, not republicans, not democrats AMERICANS believed this as the base belief of the country, before we allowed the Marxists into the schools.

If I thought for one moment that Kennedy would act wisely on the culture war issues: Abortion, Transgenderism and DEI, then I would have let myself be carried away by this speech to the days of my youth and change my vote in the general. Frankly given that I live in blue Massachusetts it might be strategic to consider such a vote as Kennedy would be more likely to win this state than Trump.

But in the end Abortion “Trumps” all with me because that’s a question of the soul plus I don’t believe personally in strategic voting so barring something like Trump dropping dead (he is in fact very old) and being replaced by Haley or Noam (who has been a not so much closet supporter of pushing Transgenderism until the VP talk came) I’ll have to pass on RFK Jr.

But if you choose not to I completely understand.

Closing thought: If you think the Obama team (Let’s stop pretending it’s the ‘Biden’ team) was determined to keep Secret Service Protection away from RFK Jr. before they’re damn well going to make sure he doesn’t have it now. Unless of course the primary job of said team was to either kill him or allow him to be killed.

I’m old enough to remember when that final sentence would have been unthinkable to me.

Those on the political left perceive reality completely differently from Conservatives and Libertarians.  Progressives, and other Marxists, live is a universe where reality is subjective.  Truth is what they believe or feel.  There is no objective truth.  Reality is malleable.  In this type of universe men can become women, masks actually protect individuals from the Wuhan Flu, and taxation is not theft.

The State of the Union speech delivered by Joe Biden this past Tuesday was a perfect example of the fantasy universe leftists exist in. The entire speech was pure fiction with very little actual truth.

In this quote the authors of the speech deny the reality that our country’s inflation crisis was brought about by reckless levels of spending by the federal government during the Wuhan Flu pandemic.

Inflation has been a global problem because of the pandemic that disrupted supply chains and Putin’s war that disrupted energy and food supplies. But we’re better positioned than any country on Earth.  We have more to do, but here at home, inflation is coming down.  Here at home, gas prices are down $1.50 a gallon since their peak.  Food inflation is coming down.  Inflation has fallen every month for the last six months while take home pay has gone up.

Do sane individuals really believe the Biden regime actually created the mentioned number of jobs?

That’s why we came together to pass the bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act.  We’re making sure the supply chain for America begins in America.  We’ve already created 800,000 manufacturing jobs even without this law.  With this new law, we will create hundreds of thousands of new jobs across the country.

Only reality challenged individuals believe in the farce known as climate change.  Individuals with a very tentative hold on reality believe that transforming the United States into a socialist third world nation will prevent this mythical disaster.

Look, the Inflation Reduction Act is also the most significant investment ever to tackle the climate crisis.  Lowering utility bills, creating American jobs, and leading the world to a clean energy future.  I’ve visited the devastating aftermaths of record floods and droughts, storms and wildfires.  In addition to emergency recovery from Puerto Rico to Florida to Idaho, we are rebuilding for the long term.  New electric grids able to weather the next major storm.  Roads and water systems to withstand the next big flood.  Clean energy to cut pollution and create jobs in communities too often left behind.  We’re building 500,000 electric vehicle charging stations installed across the country by tens of thousands of IBEW workers.  The climate crisis doesn’t care if your state is red or blue. It is an existential threat.  We have an obligation to our children and grandchildren to confront it. I’m proud of how America is at last stepping up to the challenge

Does Biden actually believe he is a capitalist?  The other talking points made in this next quote have long been disproved by economists such as Milton Friedman and Thomas Sowell.

And we pay for these investments in our future by finally making the wealthiest and the biggest corporations begin to pay their fair share.  I’m a capitalist. But just pay your fair share.  And I think a lot of you at home agree with me that our present tax system is simply unfair.  The idea that in 2020, 55 of the biggest companies in America made $40 billion in profits and paid zero in federal income taxes?  That’s simply not fair.  But now, because of the law I signed, billion-dollar companies have to pay a minimum of 15%.  Just 15%.  That’s less than a nurse pays. Let me be clear. Under my plan, nobody earning less than $400,000 a year will pay an additional penny in taxes.  Nobody. Not one penny.

Joe Biden ignores the truth that his policies alone have resulted in the our skyrocketing energy prices.

You may have noticed that Big Oil just reported record profits. Last year, they made $200 billion in the midst of a global energy crisis.  It’s outrageous.  They invested too little of that profit to increase domestic production and keep gas prices down.  Instead, they used those record profits to buy back their own stock, rewarding their CEOs and shareholders.  Corporations ought to do the right thing.  That’s why I propose that we quadruple the tax on corporate stock buybacks to encourage long term investments instead.

This next quote is the most ridiculous made during his diatribe

In the last two years, my administration cut the deficit by more than $1.7 trillion – the largest deficit reduction in American history.  Under the previous administration, America’s deficit went up four years in a row.  Because of those record deficits, no president added more to the national debt in any four years than my predecessor.  Nearly 25% of the entire national debt, a debt that took 200 years to accumulate, was added by that administration alone.

This next quote was pure fantasy.

Instead of making the wealthy pay their fair share, some Republicans want Medicare and Social Security to sunset every five years.  That means if Congress doesn’t vote to keep them, those programs will go away.  Other Republicans say if we don’t cut Social Security and Medicare, they’ll let America default on its debt for the first time in our history.

These next two quotes are both dangerous and farcical.  They translate to the fact that the Biden Regime will try very hard to disarm law abiding Americans.

Thank God we did, passing the most sweeping gun safety law in three decades.  That includes things that the majority of responsible gun owners support, like enhanced background checks for 18 to 21-year-olds and red flag laws keeping guns out of the hands of people who are a danger to themselves and others.

Ban assault weapons once and for all.  We did it before. I led the fight to ban them in 1994.  In the 10 years the ban was law, mass shootings went down. After Republicans let it expire, mass shootings tripled.  Let’s finish the job and ban assault weapons again.

The Biden regime is trying to secure the order?  What an absolute joke.

We now have a record number of personnel working to secure the border, arresting 8,000 human smugglers and seizing over 23,000 pounds of fentanyl in just the last several months.  Since we launched our new border plan last month, unlawful migration from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela has come down 97%.  But America’s border problems won’t be fixed until Congress acts. If you won’t pass my comprehensive immigration reform, at least pass my plan to provide the equipment and officers to secure the border. And a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, those on temporary status, farm workers, and essential workers.

After reading the transcript of Joe Biden’s State of the Union Address, I am overcome by a strong sense of irony.  The sense of irony is triggered by the fact that the Biden regime declared that those who spread lies and mistruths are domestic terrorists.  Lies and mistruths made up the majority of his speech.

All quotes for this article are from here: Full Text: President Joe Biden’s State of the Union Address (breitbart.com).  It is the transcript of the actual speech Biden was suppose to give.  It is free of vocal mumbles, stumbles, and bizarre ad libs.

With a duty to one another to the American people to the Constitution.  And with an unwavering resolve that freedom will always triumph over tyranny.

This first quote pings the irony meter.  Since Biden was installed in the White House a year ago, he has trampled on the Constitution and proved to be a true tyrant.

Tonight I say to the Russian oligarchs and corrupt leaders who have bilked billions of dollars off this violent regime no more.

Putin, the Russian oligarchs, and corrupt leaders have received the bulk of their funding from all of the Biden energy policies, which are the polar opposite of Trump’s energy policies.

To all Americans, I will be honest with you, as I’ve always promised. A Russian dictator, invading a foreign country, has costs around the world.  And I’m taking robust action to make sure the pain of our sanctions  is targeted at Russia’s economy. And I will use every tool at our disposal to protect American businesses and consumers.

The sanctions Biden imposed have not caused Putin any meaningful pain, and they will not.

The pandemic has been punishing.  And so many families are living paycheck to paycheck, struggling to keep up with the rising cost of food, gas, housing, and so much more.  I understand.

The pandemic had nothing to do with the skyrocketing cost of food, gas, housing, and everything.  The run away inflation was caused by Biden’s disastrous economic policies.

And unlike the $2 Trillion tax cut passed in the previous administration that benefitted the top 1% of Americans, the American Rescue Plan helped working people—and left no one behind

Of course Biden repeats the all too common lie that the Trump tax cuts only benefited the wealthy.

In fact—our economy created over 6.5 Million new jobs just last year, more jobs created in one year than ever before in the history of America.  Our economy grew at a rate of 5.7% last year, the strongest growth in nearly 40 years, the first step in bringing fundamental change to an economy that hasn’t worked for the working people of this nation for too long.  For the past 40 years we were told that if we gave tax breaks to those at the very top, the benefits would trickle down to everyone else.  But that trickle-down theory led to weaker economic growth, lower wages, bigger deficits, and the widest gap between those at the top and everyone else in nearly a century.

That last paragraph is laughable in the extreme.  There is no evidence at all backing those frivolous claims.

America used to have the best roads, bridges, and airports on Earth. Now our infrastructure is ranked 13th in the world.  We won’t be able to compete for the jobs of the 21st Century if we don’t fix that.  That’s why it was so important to pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law—the most sweeping investment to rebuild America in history.

Biden’s infrastructure plan was nothing more than a socialist wet dream.  It would have destroyed the American economy and would not have rebuilt anything.

Inflation is robbing them of the gains they might otherwise feel.  I get it. That’s why my top priority is getting prices under control.  Look, our economy roared back faster than most predicted, but the pandemic meant that businesses had a hard time hiring enough workers to keep up production in their factories.  The pandemic also disrupted global supply chains.  When factories close, it takes longer to make goods and get them from the warehouse to the store, and prices go up.

The economy has not roared back, and Biden’s policies. not the pandemic, has disrupted everything.

First – cut the cost of prescription drugs. Just look at insulin. One in ten Americans has diabetes. In Virginia, I met a 13-year-old boy named Joshua Davis.

Oh the irony !!! The cost of insulin skyrocketed because Biden canceled Trump’s executive order that specifically slashed the price of insulin

Second – cut energy costs for families an average of $500 a year by combatting climate change.  Let’s provide investments and tax credits to weatherize your homes and businesses to be energy efficient and you get a tax credit; double America’s clean energy production in solar, wind, and so much more;  lower the price of electric vehicles, saving you another $80 a month because you’ll never have to pay at the gas pump again.

Climate change is nothing but a fairy tail, a complete farce, to convince the gullable to give up their rights and money.

And under my plan, nobody earning less than $400,000 a year will pay an additional penny in new taxes. Nobody.  The one thing all Americans agree on is that the tax system is not fair. We have to fix it.  I’m not looking to punish anyone. But let’s make sure corporations and the wealthiest Americans start paying their fair share.

What a crock.  Under Biden’s tax plan those earning way under $400,000 a year will pay more, and the wealthiest pay more than their fair share.

We got more than 130 countries to agree on a global minimum tax rate so companies can’t get out of paying their taxes at home by shipping jobs and factories overseas.

Biden has no business involving the US in a scheme like this.  It is unconstitutional.

By the end of this year, the deficit will be down to less than half what it was before I took office. The only president ever to cut the deficit by more than one trillion dollars in a single year.

All I can do with this statement is laugh uncontrollably.

Because of the progress we’ve made, because of your resilience and the tools we have, tonight I can say we are moving forward safely, back to more normal routines.  We’ve reached a new moment in the fight against COVID-19, with severe cases down to a level not seen since last July. Just a few days ago, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention—the CDC—issued new mask guidelines.

It is laughable that Biden is taking credit for the decline in COVID cases.  That happened because we’ve reached herd immunity.

First, stay protected with vaccines and treatments. We know how incredibly effective vaccines are. If you’re vaccinated and boosted you have the highest degree of protection.

The COVID vaccines have been a complete disaster.

And with 75% of adult Americans fully vaccinated and hospitalizations down by 77%, most Americans can remove their masks, return to work, stay in the classroom, and move forward safely.  We achieved this because we provided free vaccines, treatments, tests, and masks.

The COVID vaccines and mandates did nothing to reduce the case numbers.  It was  a virus doing what viruses normally do.

I ask Congress to pass proven measures to reduce gun violence. Pass universal background checks. Why should anyone on a terrorist list be able to purchase a weapon? Ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.  Repeal the liability shield that makes gun manufacturers the only industry in America that can’t be sued.  These laws don’t infringe on the Second Amendment. They save lives.

All of these measures would most assuredly violate the Second Amendment and would only lead to more mass shootings and more crime.  Biden was of course lying about the liability shield for gun manufacturers.

In state after state, new laws have been passed, not only to suppress the vote, but to subvert entire elections.  We cannot let this happen.  Tonight. I call on the Senate to: Pass the Freedom to Vote Act. Pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act. And while you’re at it, pass the Disclose Act so Americans can know who is funding our elections.

Lies, lies, and more lies.  That last paragraph is nothing but lies.

And if we are to advance liberty and justice, we need to secure the Border and fix the immigration system.

Oh the absolute irony.

Advancing liberty and justice also requires protecting the rights of women.  The constitutional right affirmed in Roe v. Wade—standing precedent for half a century—is under attack as never before.  If we want to go forward—not backward—we must protect access to health care. Preserve a woman’s right to choose. And let’s continue to  advance maternal health care in America.

Abortion is murder.  No one has a right to commit murder.  Liberty is striped away from the murdered unborn child.  Abortion has absolutely nothing to do with health care.

I am far from alone when it comes to writing about all lies and mistruths spoken by Biden during his State of the Union address.  Check out these four articles.

In which I solve yet another mystery

The latest in the Democrat Party’s lowered expectations for People of Color™: now, they don’t even have to win an election for the party to choose him/her as its representative.

Stacey Abrams will deliver the response to President Donald Trump’s

Stacey Abrams

State of the Union address next week, giving the state’s top Democrat one of the nation’s most prominent pulpits as she considers whether to run for U.S. Senate in 2020.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said Tuesday he asked Abrams to deliver the address, which will air shortly after Trump finishes his address to a joint session of Congress next week, because “she has led the charge for voting rights, which is at the root of just about everything else.”

The speech will be a pivotal moment for Abrams, who narrowly lost last year’s gubernatorial race to Republican Brian Kemp and refused to formally concede the race, citing what she said was a vote marred by irregularities and his refusal to step down as the state’s top elections official.

Why Abrams? Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14), Rashida Tlaib (MI-13) and Ilhan Omar (MN-5) seem like better choices on the surface – they’ve actually won elections and all three allow the party to check the same two boxes that Abrams does: not-white women. Tlaib and Omar, of course, give the added benefit of being Muslims. (In fairness, Tlaib is only kinda Muslim.)

All that precious diversity at their fingertips but they forgo it?

It’s easy to see why none of them were chosen, though: no one will be able to control what they say in front of a national audience, especially not Nancy Pelosi. It’s entertaining to imagine Tlaib or Omar sign off with “Death to that Motherf****r Trump and to America” or Ocasio-Cortez with “God bless Socialist Utopia America.” Same thing, really.

And, call it a female hunch, but I bet each of them has told the Speaker of the House to her face that she can kiss their backsides or something equivalent.

Not that Abrams wouldn’t do that, too, were she in office. But she’s not and, therefore, she is much more apt to stay on the message outlined for her by the Speaker and by Senator Schumer. They need her, but she needs them much more. So, she gets the spotlight.

I’m sure that, during the response, the strings extending from her back will be well concealed.
