The suit against Breitbart is going to bring up a ton of really fun stuff about her and her husband and about that lawsuit they settled. Congratulations Mrs. Sherrod every speech you gave, every statement you’ve made and your husband too is now fair game and will be out in the open for all the country to see.

Expressly false statements like this one:

“It wasn’t all media. It was Fox.” Sherrod said in commenting on President Obama’s remarks on The View blaming the media in part for the story

are really going to play well in court. This is going to print money and attention for Breitbart. So lets repeat my thoughts on this case:

Sucker!

Update: Memeorandum thread here Semi Exit question. Will the left try to use this to energize black voters?

but this paragraph concerning a certain qatari diplomat with a nicotine fit perfectly fits my thoughts:

I mean, are we really to believe that this guy took his having diplomatic immunity as free rein to crack a joke about need to light his shoe bomb? I’m curious whether under international law a diplomat can be expelled from a host country simply for being a raging c@#k.

Michelle Malkin is on the same page as Josh, that doesn’t happen often either:

If there’s any “misunderstanding,” it’s not from the air marshals who took their jobs seriously, it’s from the arrogant jerk who thinks treating national security with sarcastic shoebomb jokes when questioned by our homeland security watchdogs has any place at all on a plane in flight over American skies.

This fellow needs to be declared Persona non grata fast.

about democrats not willing to bring back the gang of 14 in the words of Ben Nelson:

“It is not the same as it was before.”

Of course it is not the same, democrats are in power now, restraint and rules are only principles for our democratic friends if republicans are in charge.

I didn’t like the nuclear option before, I don’t like it now, but I repeat my message. If these are the new rules of the game, when we have power we will use them without restraint.

And we will have power very soon!

Lindsey Graham, you earn the Full You Fool moment!

I’m sure the media will come roaring forward endorse the gang of 14 concept that they embraced years ago…

…the day after Ahmadinejad visits Yad Vashem.

…but you would think a minister would be more familiar with his scripture:

At that time some people who were present there told him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with the blood of their sacrifices. He said to them in reply, “Do you think that because these Galileans suffered in this way they were greater sinners than all other Galileans? By no means! But I tell you, if you do not repent, you will all perish as they did! Or those eighteen people who were killed when the tower at Siloam fell on them – do you think they were more guilty than everyone else who lived in Jerusalem? By no means! But I tell you, if you do not repent, you will all perish as they did!” Luke 13:1-5

Ironically his thoughts about the cause of Haiti’s problems hasn’t stopped him from encouraging his people to contribute money for relief and help for the victims of the quake.

He is rightly going to take some hits for his foolish words, but he has a long history of such idiocy, but I’ll wager the Haitians are going to be a whole lot more interested and thankful for the aid money he will raise than the idiocy that he speaks while doing so.  Mary Katherine Ham’s joke has more than a grain of truth to it.

He is correct about one thing, for a country that has been independent for over two centuries it has been one of the least successful states in history. Considering how well Haitians do when they come to the US it certainly isn’t the people.
