6:05 a.m. The day starts with Mika scolding Willie for gum and Joe slurping Starbucks. Where is Barnicle standing up for Dunkin Donuts?

6:09 a.m. Not funding White Collar investigations is like only taking care of victims after 9/11 says money party.

6:11 a.m. Joe is afraid that Trillions upon Trillions is nasty when you are saying you are making government smaller. Pat calls him Lyndon Baines Obama.

6:13 a.m. Pat says they are making new baselines that will never be rolled back.

6:15 a.m. Well they aren’t finding late night Obama jokes yet.

6:21 a.m. Joe notices that the cut of farm subsidies will hit a lot of redder states.

6:32 a.m. Hey how about that North Korea, Iran and Pakistan are all doing nastier things now that Bush is gone. Mika spins it that Joe Biden is right.

6:38 a.m. Money Party: We are creating a giant airbag to falsely re-inflate a bubble.

6:41 a.m. Nobody wants to raise taxes but we should do it anyway to cut the deficit that we are now creating.

7:00 a.m. Willie just told the story of the $1mil offer to the Octo-mom if she does a porn film, Joe can’t stop laughing.

7:04 a.m. Mika loves Rush?

7:12 a.m. Joe doesn’t mind if Obama wants to be a liberal but he doesn’t want him to say one thing and do another. Doesn’t he realize that this was the whole basis of his campaign.

7:15 a.m. The style vs substance argument comes up again. Matlin states Jindal’s record.

7:34 a.m. I haven’t heard the terms Goo Goo’s for years.

7:45 a.m Mika: “Taser him.”

7:56 a.m. Did Joe just bring up Obama appointments and Jewish relations? Andrea “Sgt. Schultz” Mitchel poo poos it.

8:17 a.m. We are like a bunch of Adlai Stevenson’s waiting for someone to fix their TV, if someone can run in 2012 saying “I can Fix this, they can beat Obama.” says Matthews

8:24 a.m. I’m glad I wasn’t drinking when Hoyer said democrats don’t want money to go to people who will waste it.

8:29 a.m. There are not 9000 earmarks, there are only 4000 says Hoyer. Oh that’s different.

Religion of Peace or pieces?

Looks like our favorite net comedian who is Not Mohammad is getting death threats from the religion of peace™:

God forbid you insinuate the religion of Islam is anything short of peaceful. It only results in responses such as these:

“DEATH WILL FIND YOU NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE EVEN IF YOUR ON THE MOON WITH WALLS BUILD UP HIGH DEATH WILL STILL COME AND FIND YOU”

“ur a freaken racist pig… otherwise u wouldnt be making any sarcastic remarks…u just got the worst reputation amoungst muslims that I showed that video to…they were cursing u like crazy….take my advice and remove that racist video”

“you should actually post a new video, correcting the mistakes you made in this video, and im sure you know which ones you made, because that’s the only way that’s gonna save you from a freak accident.”

“FYI, i am glad, because if u said this to my face, u would be on the floor. simple. u come here and disrespect me, forget me, u disrespect the prophet pbuh, u expect me to just sit by, u disrespect the quran and then u try to play it off. u r a joke. a joke. dont EVER do this again. EVER.”

“your a jew ISLAM WILL TAKE OVER THE WHOLE WORLD”

“u should make a video apologize to the muslim community. thats the only option u have.”

Charming. In their defense folks… My video IS classified as hate speech. At least, that’s what thousands of Muslims said whilst flooding YouTube with constant “flagging.” In case you haven’t yet heard, there are actual online Muslim networks that exist solely for this purpose. The minute anything even remotely critical of Islam pops up online, thousands of members are notified and are commanded to flag, spam and utilize comment suppression techniques that ultimately result in the video’s removal and permanent banning of the user.

Well tell you what, every time I read about his death threats I will re-post the video.

Update: Oh and he is now blogrolled too.

Williamson in England

Holy Smoke is not thrilled that Bishop Suspended Bishop Williamson is back in England:

This is a truly appalling man. I realised this last year, when – in a fruitless attempt to warn the Vatican what he was like – I commissioned a front-page exposé of his poisonous anti-Semitism in The Catholic Herald. Like most Holocaust deniers, Williamson has a soft spot for the Third Reich: that much is clear from his pathetic diatribe against The Sound of Music, of all films, for painting the German authorities in an unsympathetic light. He also thinks 9/11 was an inside job.

The SSPX has know for many years that one of its four bishops was a Far Right conspiracy theorist. It was irritated by him, it pushed him to the margins – but it allowed him to continue exercising episcopal ministry in the Society. That is a scandal that its leader, the arrogant Bishop Bernard Fellay, has never got round to addressing.

Williamson has done more to damage the conservative reforms of this pontificate than any other person alive. That is why the faces of Catholic liberals light up at the mention of his name. They are using the Williamson affair to sabotage Summorum Pontificum – with some success, it must be said. Catholic bishops in this country have employed this cheap tactic.

You have to be a really bad Nazi to get kicked out of Argentina but unfortunately England has always had its Lord Haw Haws.

Am I the only catholic who never heard this story

The Curt Jester tells us the story of the Capybara, a type of fish meat you can eat during lent:

When the Spanish missionaries found the capybara in Brazil during the 16th century, they wrote to the Pope to ask – there’s an animal here that’s scaly but also hairy, spends most of its time in the water but occasionally comes on land; can we classify it as a fish (and thus, the indigenous people could continue to eat it during Lent)?. Not having a clear description of the animal (and not wanting the petitioners to starve), the Pope agreed and declared it to be a fish.

This illustrates the difference between the world today, when the image would have been sent by cell phone camera and an answer given at once and a world where communication takes months each way.

I hate to admit I never heard of the animal nor its Lenten significance but I’m reminded of the following passage in scripture:

As he was passing through a field of grain on the sabbath, his disciples began to make a path while picking the heads of grain. At this the Pharisees said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the sabbath?” He said to them, “Have you never read what David did when he was in need and he and his companions were hungry? How he went into the house of God when Abiathar was high priest and ate the bread of offering that only the priests could lawfully eat, and shared it with his companions?” Then he said to them, “The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath. Mark 2:23-27

The Pope’s ruling was living this passage, but as far as I’m concerned it’s still a rat.
