It’s just incidental Data but…

After mass this morning I stopped by a local combo Butcher Shop and liquor store to pick up some hamburger. As I was leaving I noticed the Bud Light guy dropping off booze and asked him how things were going with the sales.

He noted that sales were down a bit and that on the highway that morning he had one guy beep at him to give him a thumbs down. I sympathized as this fellow had nothing to do with the idiotic decisions made at the corporate level.

That was interesting but not as interesting as what happened later that evening.

Tonight I took my wife out to dinner at Texas Road House because I had a hankering for a steak larger than what’s offered at Longhorn but without paying an arm and a leg as some of the fancier steak houses in the area charge.

The place was packed when we got there with a 30 minute wait but we were told there were two spots at the bar if we were willing to sit there. To my surprise my wife jumped at the offer so we ended up at the bar with big screen carrying the NFL draft. all around. It was a few minutes before game six between the Bruins and Panthers and TV’s were duly changed when the game started.

The first thing I noticed was that my seat was directly opposite the beer taps so I could see every draft bear that was pourced.

Now I confess this is not a scientific study and there were times when I was paying more attention to the Bruins game or my steak than the taps, but during the hour plus that we spent at the bar, while I saw many a Coors light poured, more than a few Sam Adams and plenty of the local Wachusett ales going out I did not see a single Bud Light leave the station.

Again I note I cant guarantee that I didn’t miss a beer or two that went out but that I would not see a single Bud Light sold in a national restaurant in a deep blue state can not be a good sign for these guys.

Frankly if I were them I’d bring back the King from the “dilly dilly” stuff and have him pass judgement on the Marketing Department, not for trying expand the reach of the beer but for hitting the customer base in the process.

I suspect a commercial declaring they hope to share the joy of Bud light with all while sending them to the pit of despair for their disrespect of those who already enjoy Bud Light with the crowd responding “Dilly Dilly” would send the right message without explicitly saying words they don’t want to say aloud.

Until they do I suspect I will see more of what I saw tonight because no matter how many patriotic ads you make it’s just too easy to order a Coors or a Sam Adams or a Wachusett instead.

Ever since Joe Biden was installed in the White House his handlers have worked tirelessly to continue Barack Obama’s fundamental transformation of the United States into a third world toilet.  They are continuing Obama’s modus operandi of using massively Unconstitutional Executive Orders.

The panic created by unceasing climate change propaganda and indoctrination has provided a remarkably effective vehicle to convince a significant percentage of the population that this transformation is necessary.  This indoctrination has also convinced the same segment of the population that a fundamental transformation to Marxism is necessary because they have been misled into believing that socialism is superior to capitalism.

This past week Joe Biden issued an Executive Order that would infect each and every Executive Branch agency with Environmental Justice.  Here are the details of that loathsome Executive Order.

Deepen the Biden-Harris Administration’s whole-of-government commitment to environmental justice. The new Executive Order makes clear that the pursuit of environmental justice is a duty of all executive branch agencies and should be incorporated into their missions. It also affirms that environmental justice is central to the implementation of our bedrock civil rights and environmental laws.

The Executive Order is part of the Biden-Harris Administration’s whole-of-government effort to confront longstanding environmental injustices and inequities. For far too long, communities across our country have faced persistent environmental injustice through toxic pollution, underinvestment in infrastructure and critical services, and other disproportionate environmental harms often due to a legacy of racial discrimination including redlining. These communities with environmental justice concerns face even greater burdens due to climate change.

This Executive Order is unconstitutional because it reaches down to each and every American citizen, not just those who work for the Executive Agencies.  There was no legislation passed that authorized this insanity.  Also the Constitution does not grant the federal government the authority to legislate in these particular areas.

From these next passages you can see how much Marxism would be injected into every aspect of life in this country by the Executive order.

Better protect overburdened communities from pollution and environmental harms. The Executive Order directs agencies to consider measures to address and prevent disproportionate and adverse environmental and health impacts on communities, including the cumulative impacts of pollution and other burdens like climate change.

Strengthen engagement with communities and mobilize federal agencies to confront existing and legacy barriers and injustices. Communities with environmental justice concerns have long experienced exclusion and other significant barriers to having a voice in federal decision-making. The Executive Order recognizes this reality and that racism is a fundamental driver of environmental injustice. It directs agencies to actively facilitate meaningful public participation and just treatment of all people in agency decision-making.

This next Biden Executive Order would completely cripple the economy of the United States.

The Biden administration is reportedly finalizing a proposal set to substantially reduce emissions from fossil fuel-fired power plants or require them to use costly carbon capture technology.

Expected to be released by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) soon, the proposal mandates coal- and natural gas-fired power plants to cut or capture the majority of their carbon dioxide emissions by 2040, marking the first-ever federal action to curb power plant emissions.

I am generally an optimist.  Unfortunately these recent transformations by the Biden Regime really have me worried.  It is beginning to look like the United States may not survive two more years of this nonsense.

Rabbi: Jesus, please explain why you stopped the reading before Isiah spoke of the day of vengeance of our God, especially during a time of such oppression?

Jesus: The day of vengeance is in the future. I’m not here for vengeance, I’m here for salvation.

The Chosen Physician, Heal Yourself 2022

Yesterday my family and I were at the minor league ball park in Worcester thanks to a 4 pack of tickets my youngest won at work. There was according to weather.com a 20% chance of rain and those numbers came up so we waited 45 minutes for the game to start and very much enjoyed the heat lamps that were all around the covered to warm ourselves up.

By the bottom of the 7th it wasn’t looking well for the home team who couldn’t manage to get the key hit to drive in the tying runs when the chance presented itself so I moved up to where the heat lamps where. Most of them were still had groups of people but one of them near home plate was empty so I parked myself there as I urged the home team to throw strikes while on the mound and have a good eye at the plate.

Within a minute or two I was joined by a tall gentleman about my own age and we started talking about the game, the various players and the online league which I run (posting to come soon) etc which is the type of thing that the pace of baseball allows and is one of the joys of going to any ballpark. His son-in-law had season tickets so he often was able to catch a game and spoke highly of the various season ticket combos offered.

At one point my wife decided to refill her water bottle at the water bottle refill station. Seeing me with the fellow she walked by and made a flirty remark about me and my hat. The fellow grinned as guys do when that happens to a fellow and I explained that the flirting lady was my wife of 35 years. At that point the reason for my presence there became clear.

One of the things I talk about on my “Your Prayer Intentions” radio show and have as part of my regular prayer rotation is an offering to notice the works of God all around us and one of those works is to put people where they need to be.

At this point the man’s face became more serious and a change came over him. He told me two years ago that his wife of 38 years had in his own words “died suddenly”. I didn’t press him on what had happened but as it was near the end of the month I asked if he was catholic to offer his wife a place on our monthly indulgence calendar for me. It turned out he was and eagerly jumped at my offer and so I took her name and will be remembering her there and in next week’s radio show along with him family. When my oldest walked by he too took the name to ad it to his prayer list.

The fellow was very grateful. It was very clear that he misses her terribly and that there is a giant hole in his life from her loss, which his son in law has helped fill with the season tickets and as we were leaving found us again to thank us for our kind words and prayers which he needed desperately and that God had seen fit to put us there at that rainy game so I could be under that sun lamp to be there and offer consolation and prayer. Daily baseball is an excellent tonic and distraction for a soul in pain but sharing that pain when one might not normally do so is even better.

But that’s not all that went through my mind when this was happening.

The age of the gentleman, about my own or maybe a year or two older or younger and the “sudden death” of his longtime spouse immediately suggested the COVID shot to me. It’s a story I’ve read about and seen time and time again online and while I did have a vaccinated in-law die of COVID his many other complications before the outbreak didn’t make his death all that “unexpected”, this was the first person I had met who had experienced such an unexpected loss.

Now in fairness I don’t know if in this case the culprit was the shot as I wasn’t about to interrogate him on the matter but it hits me that there are thousands of people who like him have suddenly lost spouses, children and loved ones “unexpectedly” who CAN trace the problem to the shot and have to live every day with that loss that shouldn’t have happened and frankly didn’t have to.

When I ponder that I think of Biden and Fauci and Trudeau and every petty tyrant in government and in corporate America who made people choose between the jab and their livelihood and/or education and think of how much pain and suffering they have to answer for.

It’s in those moments that a good Catholic has to remember that Christ died for ALL sinners without exception and pray that all those involved in those events take advantage of the mercy that Christ offers while they have the chance because the alternative to Christ mercy for our sins is his justice according to our deeds.

And the clock is ticking.

…out draws Fox, CNN & MSNBC

and it won’t be “unexpectedly” either.
