People really need to take a look at Colorado where a pair of candidates that nobody ever heard of managed to get a ton of primary votes, one of them winning the GOP primary for sec of state, you know the person who decides if an election is honest.

Never forget by the Democrat standard Al Capone was never a gangster because he never was convicted of same.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised that the the wrath of man has not fallen on Bishop McManus for steadfastly sticking with his decision concerning the Jesuit Trinity School and the gay pride and BLM flags.

Whoever leaked the private talks hoping to see the same reaction as with the Dobbs decision but with all that is happening with SCOTUS and Dobbs the Bishop has become small potatoes easy to ignore.

In West Hollywood in the face of an increase in crime the city has voted to replace armed sheriff’s deputies with unarmed security guards who are not only unarmed but have no authority to arrest people committing crimes.

Well at least there will be more people to run away.

That we’ve reached a point were a sitting president is attacking local gas station owners over his policies that have choked off the energy supply of America is astounding.

But not as astounding as the idea that millions of Americas would still be willing to vote for this administration despite it’s continual failures in order to prevent mean tweets out of the White House.

Given the choice of suffering for themselves and others or admitting they were wrong there are many who will always choose the later because embarrassment for them is the ultimate sin.

The potential for strikes among union dock workers in LA and other western ports is bad news for the country but is great news for the Biden Administration.

They will rush to use this as an excuse for a continued shortages of everything from fuel to tampons.

Given the end result of two years of their rule excuses are the only thing this country has in abundance.

My Sicilian Grandfathers were born on the Island in the 1800’s and my memory of them is slight as they died when I was 3 and 4 but some of their wisdom was passed on down to me by my parents and siblings who were old enough to hear it.

One of those bits of advice came from my mother’s dad who was a Barber with a shop about 3-400 yards from where I am now typing this. He said this about confronting an attacker with a weapon:

Never use a weapon that you are afraid of

That is to say don’t use a weapon that you’re afraid of having turned on you.

Somebody needs to give the Democrats who seem to have decided to use trumped up indictments against their foes all over the country to slow down GOP candidates. For the whole this is backfiring but a more important point is this. Such use of government against one political enemies sets a precedent that in a time of polarization will be a dish that the GOP will be happy to serve on the left once they are in power.

And one of the basic truths of American politics is that sooner or later your political foes will always be in power and able to wield the same weapons that you choose to use against them.

I understand the Democrats are getting desperate, all their tactics suggest they don’t trust their ability to get the votes of the people, they smack of desperation.

But I would strongly suggest to them that the rising stars in the GOP have a definite Jacksonian streak and will take positive joy in returning in giving you the same treatment you gave them.

So to the left I give this good advice that you will ignore: Think long and hard before you go all in on using the government at the federal, state or local weapon against us, because you don’t know how it’s going to end.

Apparently taking the jobs of Massachusetts State Police members who did not get the vax wasn’t enough for our state:

The head of the State Police has informed troopers fired for failing to get COVID shots that their permits to carry firearms will be “expired” as of next week.

Col. Christopher Mason’s letter, obtained by the Herald, adds the ex-troopers’ ability to possess guns or ammunition will be suspended until they seek licensing through their hometowns.

All the officers were subject to the governor’s Vax mandate and were denied exemptions without the right to appeal so now it’s surrender your legally purchased guns and ammo or become a felon:

“You will no longer be permitted to have firearms, rifles, shotguns, machine guns, large capacity feeding devices, and ammunition in your possession. Possession of a firearm and/or ammunition without an LTC is a criminal offense” he wrote, with the last two words in boldface.

Former troopers have been advised, according to the letter, that they must surrender their firearms to a licensed person for the time being and that they must go through their hometown police chief in order to get a new license approved — a process that can take months.

Hey defy the vax mandate and out go your basic rights.

I think given what we’ve seen both from SCOTUS and now lower courts in response to these rulings, this is a rather winnable SCOTUS case, but if they don’t want to go through that hassle I’m sure there are Red States that would love to have trained State Police move on down and join their forces.

The race between my death from old age and Massachusetts becoming a state that is unlivable for free people continues apace.

One of the givens of Pintastic NE 2022 was the popularity of the Toy Story 4 game by Jersey Jack. When I woke up very early on the final day of Pintastic this was confirmed in the free play room.

I stayed in the extra ball room for about 3 hours and joined in several 4 player games of Toy Story 4 during that time. I lost track of time until my stomach reminded me in the middle of a game of Theatre of Magic that I hadn’t eaten so I walked to McDonalds for a sausage biscuit.

When I came back the reason for the vendor room packing up fast the night before was setting up. The previous management of the hotel had doubled booked the weekend and a Doll and Teddy Bear Show was taking place that morning and afternoon in what had been the vendor room.

I went in while they were setting up and talked to one of the dealers

It was quite a contrast between the clientele of the Doll show and Pintastic which was still going on with the ladies tournament in the Southern NH Pinball club room, the free play room and of course the extra ball lounge.

There was a fair selection of dolls and after the show officially started I got permission to go in again and interviewed the promoter:

took some photos

The ladies in those chairs weren’t in a hurry to have their picture taken.

Like Pinball one of the most important persons there was a lady who did repairs, She gave me an interview

One lady who didn’t consent to an interview at this time makes infant dolls in her “reborn nursery” The dolls are so realistic she took to keeping her baby car seat in her vehicle as police kept thinking she had kids in the car without carseats.

But I didn’t spend a lot of time there because the clock was ticking and there was only so much more pinball to play. Before I knew it the time had come to do closing interview with Michael and Emily

They gave all the credit to their excellent team which demonstrated how fast you can pack up a machine and gave some advice on how to do so although the first minute of the video or so was a tad blurry

Talk about someone ripped

At this point there wasn’t much left in the free play room so I headed to the extra ball lounge, most years those machines get moved in here but because of the 2nd show they stayed where they were. I and my son kept playing until that fatal moment that comes during every Pintastic, that sad event where someone taps you on the shoulder saying “last game”.

That’s the moment when it’s time for the final interview of the show speaking to Gabe one more time

So we ended Pintastic not knowing where we would be next year but as I prepared to leave I saw one final sight that brought a smile to my face and caused me to turn on the camera one last time.

That’s how good the Toy Story 4 Pinball Machine was. It was so good that despite 4 machines available to play and the crew being there the whole time, they didn’t get their chance to play the game until the show was over and every other player was gone.
