Why conservatives don’t trust media reason #468511

I met Imad at the Tea Party rally, he and his crew were filming people. In my opinion he was asking a few rather leading questions but he is a nice enough fellow and was kind enough to send me a copy of his work as I requested today.

Take a look at fruits of his efforts:

Take a look at the edits and the presentation. Do you wonder what was left on the floor? What other interviews he left out. Were there people who made a better case that he didn’t decide to present?

Now compare this to my interview of Chris Gonzalez today at the Boston Immigration March/Rally on Mayday today:

If you’ve read this blog for any length of time you know I think Chris’ opinion is nonsense, but rather than attempting to make him look the fool I play my entire interview with him, not editing it or trying to trap him, simply letting him give his opinion and allowing the listeners to make up their own minds.

Chris may not like my opinion or what I have to say concerning his but when he sees this post and the video on YouTube he can not honestly say that his opinion was either misrepresented or altered in any way. It stands or falls on its own two feet.

Imad is a grown man and I as I’ve said a nice fellow but given his presentation I see no reason why any conservative should give him the courtesy of granting him an interview until he returns that same courtesy by respecting those people he talks to.

After all as one of Her Majesty’s subjects should know, to do otherwise just wouldn’t be Cricket!

I think this is not just a question of MSNBC

One of the things that tends to drive me nuts about the left is how they tend to cry tolerance but have an issue showing any. A great example comes up in the story about the fall of MSNBC.

MSNBC is the network of progressives and for progressives. Yet, there is nothing progressive about the network’s employees being terrified to speak up for fear of losing their jobs. Progressives also like to think of themselves as the people who ‘have a heart.’ Thus, there is nothing progressive about making fun of a difficult and terrible experience of youth acknowledged by one who has suffered from the event, even if she happens to be the wife of a former president you don’t like. It’s mean – and it contributes absolutely nothing to the political dialogue.

One of the reasons why the Scott Brown election seemed such a relief was the almost unspoken rule in Massachusetts that seemed to exist where people who where people of a conservative bent felt pressured to keep their mouths shut in the face of other opinions for fear of being called racist, sexist, bigoted. On our jobs, at public events, etc to be conservatives publicly was to be looked down on, a second class citizen, a “redneck” or at the very least very impolite.

Some of us were too outgoing to keep quiet, some didn’t give a damn (fluffy Hussein and all that) but most people are polite and just want to live their lives without trouble.

The Scott Brown election and the dynamics in Washington changed things now not only are conservatives not cowed but they have found that their voice resonates nationwide.

Until this media wide problem is corrected they will not only be distrusted but deserved to be distrusted.

If Morning Joe isn’t buying what Charlie Crist is selling…

If this questioning was taking place at Gitmo the ACLU and answer would be providing him lawyers.

The only softball came from Jon Meacham of Newsweek.

Only the letter next to his name has changed. They aren’t buying this at all.

Update: You know for days they were building this up as a real possibility and a real game changer but once they had in front of him on it’s as if they just couldn’t keep a straight face. They treated him as if he had no credibility.

But the moment he was off camera again suddenly he is, as Barnicle put it “a man among boys” and a strong candidate. It’s like a switch was suddenly turned back on once he was gone.

I guess the facade just wasn’t possible when he was shoveling it to their faces, but once he was gone the template came back.

Update 2: Did Eugene Robinson et/al just see the same interview that I did? For God’s sake they were there!

Boy Scout scandal on Morning Joe…Video game scandal that is

As you might remember Morning Joe was relentless in going after the Pope and the Vatican, so when there was a story coming up on the Boy Scouts you knew they would get to the bottom of the scandal…of the video game badge.

Complete these three requirements:
Explain why it is important to have a rating system for video games. Check your video games to be sure they are right for your age.
With an adult, create a schedule for you to do things that includes your chores, homework, and video gaming. Do your best to follow this schedule.
Learn to play a new video game that is approved by your parent, guardian, or teacher.

I’m confused, apparently this is bigger news than a million dollar sex scandal, an alleged coverup. The greenroom asked this question:

Of course, this would send a message precisely the opposite of what the Left’s first line of lawsuits sent; but if our national socialist movement had the chance to destroy one of its most hated enemies, the Boy Sprouts, would the Left really care how it did so?

Short answer: Yes. Look at the news coverage or lack thereof and you have your answer. The boy scout suits will gain all the mainstream media coverage that the Jesse Dirkhising case did.
