It’s Thanksgiving day and because the Turkey is cooking and my wife is on full blast I did a quick Dunkin & McDonalds run so as not to dirty stuff for DaWife’s coffee or my breakfast.

I passed by St. Bernard’s football field and remembered the phony hate crime hoax from years ago that got national attention of the FBI & the Obama admin and caused the Lunenburg St. Bernard’s game to be cancelled that year. I covered the story here:

As I recall the town never got an apology from all those who called them a bunch of racists nor did the players who missed their Turkey game that year.

They never do.

Thanksgiving is a traditional day for football (as mentioned above). When I was young the TV would be filled with college games. Now the NFL has gone in a big way, not only just the Cowboys and the Lions who both host home games on Thanksgiving (and will therefore never face the other on Thanksgiving day) but a late game that is an A list matchup between the 49ers and the Seahawks. They have even added a black Friday game Dolphins at the Jets.

I guess they’re all in on Thanksgiving weekend and taking the business from the colleges and I guess it’s the right move. Make the money while you can now because nothing lasts forever.

As for me, well I guess it a good way to pass the time waiting for spring training

In a recent speech Tucker Carlson talked about trusting your gut. My gut says that the deal with Hamas that Israel has made for hostages is a bad idea.

But since it’s the Jews of Israel who are doing the fighting and dying and it’s the Jews of Israel whose woman and children are hostages and I’m just sitting at a keyboard in safety I think I’ll defer to the judgement of their leadership vs my own.

I’m old enough to remember when I could make a joke in public or online without worry that it wouldn’t give supporters of terror groups that want to kill jews idea.

Alas those days are gone so my excellent joke shall have to remain in house.

Finally today is going to be my last day off before Black Friday. During the Trump years this was flat out time for me. We ended up working 14 days in a row after Thanksgiving and six days a week all though Christmas and carried a ton of temps all thought that time.

Last year we had one busy week and it was so quiet that the Friday after black Friday was optional and all the extra temps were laid off within two weeks.

We had a busy week this week as one of our retailers had a pre-black friday sale but this week will say more about the truth of Biden economy than any talking head can.

…when they are no longer in the range of Hamas fighters guns:

A day after Operation Protective Edge ended, a truer picture slowly began emerging: foreign reporters leaving the Gaza Strip revealed what Israel has claimed all along – that Hamas had fired out of population hubs and near UN facilities.

Why didn’t they report those facts during the ongoing fighting? According to the reporters, they feared for their lives. “We saw the Hamas men,” a Spanish reporter admitted. “But had we dared point the cameras at them, they would have opened fire at us and killed us.”

Now that they’re out of the Gaza Strip, the reporters are revealing what Hamas tried to prevent the world from seeing. An Indian reporter, for example, documented how Hamas militants launched rockets from a post right outside the window of the hotel where he was staying in the Gaza Strip, shortly before the ceasefire came into effect. The video aired only after the reporter left Gaza. When asked about it, he replied: “There’s a conspiracy of silence rooted in fear – no one wants to report in real-time”.

As Glenn Reynolds would say: Read the whole thing.

I want to hit you with a pair of videos that I think speaks volumes.

You have seen Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus on networks around the world giving update on Gaza and challenging the Hamas narrative of the MSM everywhere. Today he was in Gaza going through a hospital in a single shot without cuts here:

The combined with the video from CNN the day before really makes the point about hospitals that israel has been making for a long time.

Having CNN seeing the stuff really make it hard for them to push the narrative that’s why this video is so big:

Both of these are big and make the point but there is one video that wasn’t produced by either the MSM or Israel that I think is the most significant:

Now take a good luck at the video of the panic and note the oddity. Which I think of panic in a hospital, expect to see doctors, and patients, and sick people and families running around but that’s not what we see, instead we see a bunch of apparently healthy looking military age men scared to death that Israel is about to attack.

Of the three videos, this of is, in my opinion the most telling of all. It shows who is actually getting the fuel and the supplies and it shows who the international community is actually in such a hurry to protect.

Of course our friends in Hamas might think the other two are more important as they signify what is in store for those hiding in other hospitals further south.

King Richard (Disguised): Oh, now I remember. How does your loyalty to Richard set on a killer of knights, a poacher of the king’s deer and an outlaw?

Robin Hood: Those I’ve killed died from misusing the trust that Richard left them. And the worst rogue of these is the king’s own brother.

King Richard (Disguised): Oh, then you blame Prince John.

King Richard (Disguised): No, I blame Richard. His task was defending his people instead of deserting them to fight in foreign lands.

The Adventures of Robin Hood 1938

Since the beginning of the Israel Hamas War I have seen a concerted effort to blame Israel and the west:

  • For the Hamas Attacks
  • For the Reactions on Western Campus
  • For the Response to Mass Protests
  • For the open antisemitism in the west

Now of course Hamas did the attack and the slaughter than brought this all on but when it comes to blaming the west let’s to the chase. They have a point.

  • I blame the west for ignoring the problem of Radical Islam in General and Hamas in particular.
  • I blame the west for allowing illegal migration bringing supporters of Jew slaughter to their lands
  • I blame the west for not enforcing their own laws against those who came illegally or even legally.
  • I blame the west for punishing those who objected to these double standards.
  • I blame the west for silencing any who warned about what was happening (see Spencer & Geller et/al)
  • I blame the west for attacking their own civilization for trifles (see microaggressions) but ignoring actual crimes of others.
  • I blame the west for letting their educational systems be taken over by those who hate us.
  • I blame the west for letting themselves be paid off
  • I blame the west for playing the “moral equivalence” game
  • I blame the west for funding the Palestinians in general and Gaza in particular without control or audit of the funds or materials.
  • I blame the west for not supporting those opposing the Mullahs in Iran
  • I blame the west for not taking out the Mullahs when they had armies both to the east and the west of them
  • I blame the west in general and the Biden Administration in particular for funding Iran
  • I blame the west for pressuring Israel to stop fighting back for the sake of peace and quiet.

And most important of all

  • I blame the west for doing all these things while there was still a chance of stopping this at a low cost.

And I don’t leave out Israel from the blame game

  • I blame Israel for deluding themselves that you could contain Hamas
  • I blame Israel and Israelis for pretending that the Palestinians want peace
  • I blame Israel for giving back Gaza, legitimately won in war with Egypt, to the Palestinians.

But most of all

  • I blame Israel for not finishing the job nine years ago when Hamas hit them or frankly any of the other dozen times that Hamas attacks and they let it go.

I actually had “giving Egypt back the Sinai” on this list but you can argue that an active peace with Egypt was worth it of course actually given Israel’s nuclear deterrence and active peace with Egypt was going to be the norm anyways, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt here.

So if you want to blame the US or blame the UK or blame Australia or even blame Israel, you do have a point in the sense that all of these that have happened were preventable so you are basically making the Fram oil filter argument from the 1970’s ads.

Israel and the west decided they wanted to pay the price later and are now doing so.
