48 hours ago I commented on a post at the Volokh conspiracy on incest saying this:

The fact that a respected lawyer is actually making the case tells me this is already coming down the pike.

And 48 hours later here comes the news from Europe:

The upper house of the Swiss parliament has drafted a law decriminalising sex between consenting family members which must now be considered by the government.

There have been only three cases of incest since 1984.

Switzerland, which recently held a referendum passing a draconian law that will boot out foreigners convicted of committing the smallest of crimes, insists that children within families will continue to be protected by laws governing abuse and paedophilia.

If you are surprised by this you just haven’t been paying attention.

Via live at 5 Talk about a phony story warning link nsfw

Christina Aguilera is the latest and greatest to be sharing her walk-in-closet half-nakedness with the world via the ever reliable ‘anonymous friend’ taking a picture they promise will never be seen.

Christine is shocked SHOCKED!

The rep tells TMZ the pictures — which show Aguilera wearing nothing but pasties and a few strands of fabric — were “taken in the privacy of Ms. Aguilera’s home and were used only in a personal exchange between the star and her stylist.”

The rep continues, “We find the actions of the hackers and the press who purchased and/or obtained these photos to be irresponsible and actionable.”

Oh please this is about as shocking as Berkeley being on the other side in an American war. These pictures are posed. Anyone who thinks this is a “hack” rather than a PR stunt is as gullible as these folks.

Question: How much does the media, particularly MSNBC hate Sarah Palin?

Norah O’Donnell makes a good point that President Bush’s book has a broader historical appeal but you are having the Morning Joe table talk up Jeb Bush and the Bush family in order to favorably compare them to Sarah Palin.

I am an unabashed fan of George W. Bush and will likely get his book sometime next year along with Palin’s 2nd book as my situation improves but to see this kind of stuff on MSNBC speaks volumes, I know president Obama’s performance has really boosted President Bush number in comparison but this is a turnaround of epic proportions.

I really thought it would take a generation for attitudes about George W. to change but nothing speeds up a time-line like Palin Derangement syndrome. It is much stronger than Bush Derangement Syndrome ever was.

After a very nice segment on WCRN with Howie Carr promoting his Boston show, Rob Schneider has apparently decided he isn’t interested in attracting supporters of Sarah Palin to his stand-up show or the movie he is writing with this quotes at the end:

“I would xxxx Sarah Palin but I’d wear a condom because I wouldn’t want my xxxxx to catch stupid.”

Just the type of joke you want to tell between 6-7 p.m. in the evening isn’t it?

And of course the next step is to offend Obama supporters:

I wouldn’t hire Obama to run a Kinkos.

Well done Schneider. That doesn’t even get into this insistence first that Obama not say there were 57 states; then saying he must have been joking.

He still is a funny guy.
