A decade ago Andrew Breitbart offered 100,000 for evidence to support democrats claims accusing the Tea Party of public racism toward members of Congress at the time. The media had made a big fuss but Andrew was having none of it:

He said he emphasized with AP writer Jesse Washington that he was not relying on the one video for proof but rather that it was the mainstream media’s responsibility to offer proof of a racist attack before they published their report. That is why Andrew is offering reward money to anyone who will come forth with video that shows a racist attack actually occurred.

Andrew also wondered why the Capitol Hill police did not intervene if this incident actually happened. If the n-word was screamed 15 times… If there was “a chorus” of racist hate… And, if the tea party protesters looked like they were going to throw rocks at the Congressmen, as one of the members suggested, why would the Capitol Hill police stand back and not intervene?

Andrew added that the Democrats now claim that they want dialogue but that is not what they said when they accused the tea party protesters of a hate crime. It was only after representatives were confronted by Big Government and Andrew Breitbart that they suddenly want to hold a civil dialogue.

Needless to say despite a plethora of cameras and recording devices on the scene no such evidence was ever produced and Andrew Breitbart died with that $100,000 unpaid.

Now history is about to repeat itself;

My Pillow founder and CEO Mike Lindell announced on Wednesday he was offering $5 million to any “cyber guys” who can prove the election data he’ll present at his upcoming “cyber symposium” is not valid.

Lindell appeared on the War Room podcast and said that he’s offering $5 million to any “cyber guy” who shows up at his symposium and demonstrates that the data doesn’t actually prove Donald Trump won the election

Now think about this for a moment. For months we’ve been told that all of these claims are BS, we’ve seen big tech, which employs an army of techies insist that this is all disinformation.

The colleges are full of liberals taking tech courses, silicon valley is full of liberals in the tech field, Facebook, twitter, Instagram, tic-toc etc etc etc have thousands if not tens or hundreds of thousands of tech experts who worship at the altar of the left who would I suspect love an extra 5 mil in their pocket, not to mention hundreds of techies dreaming of financing their startup companies who would love five million dollars seed money.

All they have to do is demonstrate that Lindell is advancing a conspiracy theory, and since all the “smart” and “elite” people are insisting this is the case it should be really easy shouldn’t it?

If they do it will be a triumph for the left, every media outlet will hail them, every cable show will feature them and perhaps Hollywood will even do a movie about them. Their debunking of Lindell would be amplified all over the world.

But as loud as that might be, if they fail, their failure while ignored by the press, censored by the tech companies will speak oh so much louder.

Which is why you will not see them even try.

I suspect that like Andrew Breitbart Mike Lindell will go to his grave with his challenge money still in his pocket.

Unexpectedly of course.

All I could think of when I saw this tweet from the Colorado Secretary of State banning audits of ballots in her state:

Was this exchange from the beginning of the 1940 Movie Go West, starring the Marx Brothers:

S. Quentin Quale (Groucho Marx): One ticket for the West, end of line.
Ticket Clerk: Yes, sir. That’ll be $70, please.
S. Quentin Quale (Groucho Marx): There’s your $70. Don’t bother counting it.
Ticket Clerk: There’s only $60 here.
S. Quentin Quale (Groucho Marx): I told you not to count it.

Go West 1940

Nothing says: “Our elections are open and honest.” like the secretary of state of is in charge of election integrity sounding like Groucho Marx trying to cheat a ticket clerk.

I’m old enough to remember when thieves were not so blatant but that’s the whole point to be blatant and open and dare people to do something about it.

It’s pretty bad, but then again that what the Soros left pays for, what’s even worse are the people of a state going along with it.

By John Ruberry

A month ago I wrote about Illinois General Assembly Democrats, behind closed doors, redrawing legislative maps. The Dems, thanks to their gerrymandering after the 2010 Census, already enjoy supermajorities in both chambers of the General Assembly.

There was hope, a quite naive one to be sure, that because Illinois’ Democratic governor, J.B. Pritzker, firmly promised, many times, that he would veto any partisan remap proposal, that fair maps could eventually emerge.

Shortly before Election Day in 2018, again as I noted last month, Pritzker had this to say to an NRP reporter, “I will not sign a bill that is gerrymandered, I have been for independent maps for a long time now.”

Well Pritzker isn’t for independent maps anymore even though, as the Wall Street Journal (paid subscription required) reported just two weeks ago, the Chicago billionaire promised to veto “an unfair map.”

Pritzker lied. On Friday he signed into law a hyperpartisan gerrymandered map. And going a step further, for the first time in five decades Illinois’ Supreme Court districts were redrawn. Do I have to tell you which party the new court districts will favor?

From the Wall Street Journal editorial board:

Illinois Democrats hold a statehouse supermajority, every statewide office and a state Supreme Court majority. That sounds like a monopoly on power. But with voters starting to revolt against the state’s fiscal woes and political corruption, Democrats are now working to further entrench their power.

Late last week Democrats jammed through new state legislative maps that combine 14 Republicans in the Illinois House into seven districts. That means seven GOP incumbents are guaranteed to lose in party primaries. Republicans will also lose their incumbent advantage in seven districts. No Democrats were combined in the same House districts.

Illinois’s maps were already heavily gerrymandered to favor Democrats, who control 73 of the 118 seats in the House and 41 of 59 in the Senate. But Democrats are worried a GOP wave in the 2022 midterm elections could defeat Gov. J.B. Pritzker. They want to shore up their supermajority to ensure they can override a new Republican Governor.

Apologists for the Democrats explain that according to the state constitution the General Assembly needs to have new legislative districts approved by June 30. What they leave out is that if no map is passed, again according to the state constitution, an eight-person bipartisan committee is appointed to redraw maps. Republicans would likely end up in a stronger position in such a scenario because don’t believe it’s possible to create an even more unfair map.

What’s worse about these new legislative districts is because of the COVID-19 epidemic, not all of the US Census numbers have been released. Illinois Democrats based their new state House and Senate districts on projections from American Community Survey, not hard numbers.

When confronted about gerrymandering by Fox Chicago’s Mike Flannery on this weekend’s Flannery Fired Up, Boss Michael Madigan’s slippery successor as state House Speaker, Chris Welch, explained to the host that Oklahoma, a red state, also based their remapping on ACS data.

True–only that Welch neglected to mention that Oklahoma is committed to redraw its maps once the final Census numbers are in.

Illinois, because of population loss, will have one less congressional seat after the 2022 midterm elections. Federal guidelines on congressional districts are quite strict–so the new congressional maps have not been released as the Illinois Democrats await those hard numbers to crunch and torture. But speculation is that these maps will also punish the GOP.

One-party Democratic rule has destroyed Illinois. I’ve noted these facts many times at Da Tech Guy. Illinois’ public-worker pension plans are among the worst-funded in the nation. The average percentage in state budgets dedicated to pensions is four percent. In Illinois, because its promises to these liberal public-sector unions were not properly funded, it is 25 percent. The state’s repupation for corruption is well known–in my lifetime four governors, three Democrats and one Republican, have served time in federal prison. Federal authorites have been investigating the inner circle of Boss Madigan for several years. And for the first time in history Illinois lost population between Censuses.

Every state will be redrawing their maps. Former president Barack Obama and his first attorney general, Eric Holder founded a group, the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, that opposes Republican gerrymandering. Look for the two of them to holler and scream when they declare new red state remaps to be unfair. Of course Obama and Holder will be mum on gerrymandering in blue states, such as what occurs every ten years in Obama’s home state.

What do you do if a liberal moans to you about those red state district maps that they say are gerrymandered? I have a three word reply for you.

“What about Illinois?”

The verdict on the right seems to be unanimous on the Jenner ad as a devastating hit on the Democrat rule in California in general and the Newson administration in particular. Glenn Reynolds put it very well in his NY Post piece:

It’s rare for a single ad to determine the outcome of an election. But this Jenner spot has one enormous strength: It’s true. ..

…No matter how you spin the discarded needles and human feces littering the street, they’re still there.

t seems incredible to me that the GOP does not have a potential candidate in California who isn’t a walking billboard for mental hilliness, then again is California and the days when sanity rules are long gone, but to those who are thinking that if Jenner is the choice to challenge Newsom and are considering sitting this one out I cite Dr. Pierce from the classic1947 film Miracle on 34th Street:

Thousands of people have similar delusions living perfectly normal lives in every other respect. A famous example is that fellow, I can’t think of his name. For years he’s insisted he’s a Russian prince. There’s been much evidence to prove him wrong, but nothing has shaken his story. Is he in an institution? No. He owns a famous restaurant in Hollywood and is a highly respected citizen.

Of course in America elections are a binary choice if it's a question of someone handing the wheel to someone who is delusional but understands enough not to drive off a cliff vs someone aiming for the cliff who insists all is well, the choice is obvious.

That California may have such a choice to make says everything about both about the left's prerogatives and skill at government but also speaks to the price of the establishment GOP spurned on by well paid consultant who insisted the culture wars were not worth fighting back in the days when they were easily won. As a fellow named Spock once put it:

If we had not crossed the Neutral Zone, on your order, you would not now need our opinions to support a decision which should never have been made

Star Trek, The Enterprise Incident 1968

If nothing else it has been amusing so far and will be even more amusing to watch the left which lavished honors on Jenner when it suited their agenda to decide Jenner is the greatest evil known to mankind.

It’s a great lesson to the left’s useful idiots who follow their agenda that no amount of conformity to their radical political/social agenda will protect them from the full fury of their wrath once you are of no further use.

Unexpectedly of course.
