Did you know that Comcast on demand has monster.com jobs listed? I didn’t until last night.

Pretty cool but a little pointless since you still need to apply online.

Today example comes vis Life Doctor Who and Combom:

Earlier today, I posted Digital Spys spoof story about The Bride of Davros. If you Google for it, its all over the internet, however…

IMDB seem to think its true, check it out. They claim filming begins in March :)

The spoof story is here. In the story it actually identifies itself as a spoof:

Breaking news… we interrupt this news bulletin to report that the above story is absolute fabricated codswallop of the highest order. Yet it’s not too far detached from some of the bizarre casting rumours that have surrounded the world of Doctor Who since the BBC revived it several years ago.

That didn’t prevent this post on the usually reliable IMDB:

Paris Hilton to play the ‘Bride of Davros’

18 January 2009 12:00 AM, PST | From Digitalspy | See recent digitalspy news

Paris Hilton has signed up for a leading role in one of the upcoming Doctor Who specials in 2009 entitled ‘The Bride Of Davros’. An insider on the hit show stated: “Paris is a major casting coup for the show and really raises the bar. We’ve been waiting to find the right role for her for some time, and she was our first choice to portray the shady temptress who will lure Dalek creator Davros down the aisle. “The BBC really hope to boost the profile of Doctor Who in the United States and when we learnt that Paris is as fond of Daleks as she is of Chihuahuas then we knew we were on to a winner.” Hilton has previously appeared in the films Zoolander and The House Of Wax, but this will make her first dramatic role in TV. Filming is scheduled to begin in March and the 60-minute special,

When reading something on the net always think twice, otherwise you might even believe Hamas won the war.

If you don’t know who Davros is go here or if you prefer a visual clip here it is.

If you don’t know anything about Doctor Who start here or here and just keep reading.

The Circuit City failure is going to be very painful for an awful lot of people. Tens of thousands out of work. Thousands of their suppliers and auxiliary companies hit hard.

Their competitors who survive will take a short term hit as well as people flock to get discounted deals.

If you are one of those people doing just that REMEMBER fill out those warranty cards with the manufacturer and/or hit their web sites to register. You won’t have someplace to return stuff so protect your investment as best as you can.

And remember if you do have a computer tech problem, DaTechGuy can support you from anywhere in the world as long as you have a high speed connection.

Update: Full details of terms etc are available at the Circuit City Website.

One of the things that will really slow down a vista system is the Windows Areo theme.

It is rather nice looking but can really eat up memory. So via ComputerWorlds top 10 vista hacks we present #7 turn off windows aero:

1. Right-click the Windows desktop and select Personalize > Window Color and Appearance.

2. Click Open classic appearance properties for more color options.

3. In the Color scheme drop-down box, choose Windows Vista Basic or Windows Vista Standard, and click OK. Aero will now be turned off.

You can also turn off bits and pieces of it if you like what you see but don’t want to lose the lot.
