I very much prefer the Heinleinian universe over the Asimovian universe

I recently finished reading the entire Foundation series by Isaac Asimov, all fifteen novels.  It has been several decades since I last read these masterpieces of Science Fiction.  When I read them previously I enjoyed them.  This time around I rather despised the entire lot. 

The writing is great and the science fiction is first rate, as good as I remembered it to be.  In the intervening decades since I last read these novels my political views evolved radically.  After reading several hundred books on politics and government I became a Libertarian. 

Unfortunately Isaac Asimov chose to cram the entire Foundation series full of the worst kind of collectivist refuse imaginable.  Collectivism was the central theme of the series.  Continuously Asimov denigrated individualism and praised collectivism.  At the climax of the final novel one character alone chooses a path that transforms the entire galaxy, and every one of the four quadrillion humans, into a single hive organism.

Ever since I was in high school I have been a huge fan of the author Robert Heinlein.  As my political awakening progressed my appreciation for Heinlein increased.  It is now an obsession. That is because Robert Heinlein was a Libertarian in the truest sense of the world.  A love for individualism and a hatred for collectivism is woven throughout most of his novels. This began with the short story Lifeline, which was the first thing he wrote, and continued through his last novel, To Sail Beyond the Stars.

Robert Heinlein was an exceptionally talented writer who wrote superb science fiction, with an emphasis on hardcore science.  His works are so great they can be read over and over again. 

The United States is such a mess because progressives have transformed this nation from a Constitutional Republic based on individualism into a collectivist hell.  Heinlein warned us about the evils of collectivism while Asimov praised collectivism.   

If I’m Trump I Hire the Mossad to Guard Me

I think this press conference by Ron DeSantis announcing an investigation of the Trump assassination attempt in Florida is telling:

He makes a good point that it’s important that a government that isn’t prosecute Trump investigate.

I would go a step farther, I think Trump needs to be protected by people who are not from a government that has been weaponized against him and his supporters.

So the question becomes who then?

It has to be a group with strong intelligence skills, a group adept in dealing with death threats and protecting people in constant danger, and a group skilled enough to react in time to save his life.

The obvious answer is the Mossad.

Any group that is able to blow the nuts off of thousands of their enemies without them having a clue when they are trying to murder Jews has the right stuff and don’t forget Israel has a vested interest in a Trump victory.

So if I’m Bibi, war situation or no, I’d offer Trump some Mossad agents to help protect him and if I’m Trump I let them do it or at least join the detail as observers to spot and holes that are being deliberately left open.

That’s my suggestion because remember one thing, it wasn’t the feds who caught this shooter, it was law enforcement in Florida.

One of the disadvantages of telling a lie in front of a huge national audience is that reality often gets into the way.

For example when you “fact check”TM Donald Trump in front of a national audience of 60 million saying nothing is going on in Springfield Ohio, it just might hurt your credibility when this happens two days later:

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has ordered state troopers and additional funding sent to the suffering city of Springfield, Ohio, to deal with a major influx of Haitian illegal immigrants dropped off there by the Biden-Harris regime:

“I want the people of Springfield and Clark County to know that as we move forward, we will continue to do everything we can to help the community deal with this surge of migrants,” said Governor DeWine. “The federal government has not demonstrated that they have any kind of plan to deal with the issue. We will not walk away.”

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced new state support for the city of Springfield, which is dealing with significant stress on its healthcare and public safety systems due to the influx of thousands of Haitian migrants over the last several years.

And of course as the world has internet it doesn’t help when people can hear this:

Honestly it’s like the left thinks that video and audio have not been invented.

I’ll give the last word to that noted Trump Fan Marianne Williamson:

“Continuing to dump on Trump because of the “eating cats” issue will create blowback on Nov. 5. Haitian voodoo is in fact real, and to dismiss the story out-of-hand rather than listen to the citizens of Springfield. Ohio confirms in the minds of many voters the stereotype of Democrats as smug elite jerks who think they’re too smart to listen to anyone outside their own silo.”

Or at least would have if she didn’t get so much backlash that she ran away from her point:

Her comments set off a firestorm among leftists. Williamson’s colleagues wasted no time labeling her remarks as “racist.”

In an update following the backlash, Williamson attempted to clarify her stance:

“The conversation regarding Haitians in this country has gotten out of hand. While my tweet yesterday was not meant in any way whatsoever to feed a racist narrative, we’re living at a time when nuanced conversation is difficult – particularly so on twitter, where people read a few words, don’t even read the whole tweet, and project onto it things that aren’t even there. The larger issue, however, is the safety and well being of human beings. All of us. Haitians are a good people and contribute much to this country. Given the hysteria that’s present around this issue, I’m deleting yesterday’s tweet.”

Who were the winners and losers from Tuesday night’s Presidential Debate?

President Trump won the debate, however, it was not a decisive victory because he was vastly outnumbered on stage.  I expected the debate to be a farce when it comes to journalistic integrity.  The moderators on ABC exceeded my expectations.  Most of the evening Trump was debating Kamala Harris and the two moderators.  Every time Trump had some momentum going he was interrupted with a bogus fact check. 

President Trump did keep his cool for the most part. He exercised a good deal of discipline and self control despite the overwhelming odds.

Kamala lost the debate.  The audience witnessed just how unpleasant a person she really is.  Her tone of voice was harsh and annoying.  Her cackle was prominent.  Unfortunately for Trump she did not let lose any of her word salads.  A week of intensive debate prep paid off big time. 

The whole notion of fair and unbiased debates took a major hit.  The debate was a three way tag team grudge match against Trump.  It was so bad that MSNBC gushed over it.

Truth was the biggest loser during the debate.  Kamala lied with impunity.  She shoveled bovine excrement the entire evening.  She lied about everything and spewed every single hoax imaginable.   21 False Claims & Hoaxes by Kamala Harris that ABC’s Debate Moderators Did Not Fact Check (breitbart.com)

Vice President Kamala Harris issued a slew of false claims and hoaxes that ABC debate moderators did not fact check during Tuesday’s debate against former President Donald Trump.

The American people also lost big time because that was the only debate Kamala agreed to do.  She is too cowardly to risk another debate, especially one where the deck is not overwhelmingly stacked in her favor.
