Sir Humphrey Appleby: But if you knew they were crooks

Sir Desmond Glasebrook: We didn’t

Sir Humphrey Appleby: But you could have made enquiries..

Sir Desmond Glasebrook: You don’t make enquiries of that sort in the city. They seemed like decent chaps and decent chaps don’t check up on decent chaps to see if they are behaving like decent chaps.

Sir Humphrey Appleby: And ignorance is worth paying 14 million pounds for?

Sir Desmond Glasebrook: Ignorance is safety it’s not a crime to be deceived and it’s not our own money is it.

Yes Prime Minster A conflict of interest 1987

The More I think about this tweet from the AP concerning the building they shared with Hamas that Israel leveled…

…and think of the last ten years that I’ve seen reporters and journalists up close both via the blog and via being credentialed press, I must say that if AP is making the argument that in ten years they were not able to see facts staring at them right in the face every single day that they did not find convenient . I must admit that it’s the most plausible explanation that could have given.

The ability of the modern press to be oblivious to facts they don’t wish to know or might prove harmful to their narrative is so well established and the ignorance of modern journalists is so obvious that the idea that terrorists could operate with impunity right under their noses for a decade is as believable as it gets.

Update: It’s been a while since I’ve gotten an Instalanche. Thanks Ed and may I state for the record that while I think pleading ignorance is the best argument they can make as they are as ignorant as you can get, in this case I presume they are lying.

Of course I’ve reached a point these days where I always start from the presumption the media is lying.

Yesterday I wrote about things that surprised me or didn’t so much, today I was generally surprised to read this:

The Biden administration notified Congress this week that it will send millions of dollars in U.S. assistance to the Palestinians aimed at promoting peace with Israel even as violence between the two sides rages.

As the conflict intensifies despite U.S. calls for restraint, the administration notified Congress on Thursday that it will provide $10 million to Palestinian groups in the West Bank and Gaza to support exchange and reconciliation projects with Israelis. The recipients of the aid were not named.

Now I’m not so much surprised that the Biden Administration will pay for the new rockets to kill Jews. As I’ve noted dead Jews in Israel is very popular with their violent activist base, or as Glenn Reynolds puts it: “Not anti war just on the other side.” but I AM surprised at the timing as I figured it would take at least a few weeks after Hamas stopped shooting for this administration to openly give them the money to rearm.

That’s the thing about openly stealing an election, it really emboldens you on other things.

Unexpectedly of course

FYI if you’re naïve enough to believe this cash won’t go to rockets and tunnels you desperately need to be reading this blog on a daily basis.

This caught me by surprise

Now me may believe this or he may not but it speaks volumes to the reality of where the GOP base vs where the left MSM says it is that a pol named George Bush who wishes to advance in the party felt the need to say this publicly.

This not so much:

In 2017, Philadelphians elected “progressive prosecutor” Larry Krasner as district attorney. Since taking office, Krasner has pursued a policy of de-prosecution—the decision not to prosecute certain crimes regardless of whether they actually took place—as homicides have spiked.

When Soros buys you, you stay bought.

This surprised me a bit:

I would have thought whoever was in charge, you know the folks who actually ordered this tweeted out might have thought this was a bridge too far.

This not so much:

“The Jesuit priest who presided over an inaugural Mass for President Joe Biden has resigned his position as president of Santa Clara University in Northern California, college officials said, after an investigation found he engaged in inappropriate, alcohol-fueled conversations with graduate students.

“The Rev. Kevin O’Brien, at the direction of Jesuit officials, has begun a therapeutic outpatient program to address personal issues, including alcohol and stress counseling. He had been president of Santa Clara University since July 2019 and was placed on leave in March.

Well I’m surprised a little, that the AP reported it that is.

But I’m not surprised that they haven’t touched this much:

A devastating letter written by Arizona Senate President Karen Fann on voting irregularities, and probably fraud, in Maricopa County during the 2020 Presidential Election. Even the database was illegally deleted after the subpoena to produce the information. Senate President Fann has invited Maricopa County officials to a public hearing on May 18 to allow them the opportunity to try to explain what happened to the missing databases, ballots, and other significant issues.

The “big lie” is that Joe Biden won election 2020.

And finally I actually thought this was a Babylon Bee headline when I saw it:

Muslim Brotherhood Praises Dems for Abandoning Israel in Time of War.

They’re not bothering to hide it anymore because that’s where their base is.
