Stacy McCain notes some excellent police work in identifying a serial killer:

According to cops, Heuermann kept the cell phones of two victims and used the phones to get numbers of their relatives, then used “burner” phones to taunt at least one victim’s family member. However, Heuermann apparently didn’t realize that having his own cell phone with him at the time he used the “burner” phones meant that he was “pinging” off the same phone tower. So cops pored over the phone information and, by a process of elimination, narrowed down the possibilities to a comparative handful of potential suspects, and then — because a witness had seen a green pickup truck near one crime scene — this brought Heuermann to the top of the stack, as he sometimes drove a green truck he borrowed from his brother. Once he became the focus of the investigation, Heuermann’s financial records and Internet activity added more evidence against him, and finally detectives got a DNA match from discarded garbage. 

Note that all of this was observation and deduction. Not a woke move in sight.

Newsweek is reporting that according to a Russian Lawmaker the whole movement of the Wagner Group to  Belarus to allegedly prepare for an attack against Poland.

While I think this would be very foolish as Poland is not only well armed but would be very motivated in a shooting war vs Russia for reasons still in living memory all of this talk concerning the Suwałki Gap is continuing fallout of the Soviet occupation of the Baltic States and Poland from World War II to the end of the Cold War that is now in play thanks to Ukraine.

While aiding the Soviets bleed Germany making victory in the west easier I’m thinking in the long term enabling Stalin and thus communism’s survival in world war 2 remains one of the biggest strategic errors in the history of the United States.

The clash between Islam and the “Alphabet People” continues in Michigan as two members of Hamtramck Human Relations Commission after they flew the LGBTQ pride flag over a public sidewalk in the town run by American Muslims.

This is in Michigan where they are preparing a law to treat “misgendering” people as a felony with huge fines.

I can’t wait to see what happens when Muslim citizens begin to flout that law if it passes

The hysteria over the hottest day on record BS proves just how far to the left Boston News Channels are

Overwhelming biased news stations is the number one reason why New Englanders lean so far to the left.  The news coverage is so incredibly infected with Democrat propaganda and talking points.  No other point of view is given.  There are few other sources of news available.  Most are unaware that they are being indoctrinated and brainwashed.

The nonstop coverage of the deeply flawed pronouncement that we are experiencing the hottest days ever is proof of how far these stations are willing to push climate change hysteria.

A climate expert at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology is urging action after a new report shows the earth just experienced the hottest days on record.

“I’ve seen a lot of messages that this is yet another wake-up call,” said Dr. Sergey Paltsev. “I’m afraid something is wrong with either us that we don’t hear the alarm clock or something is wrong with the alarm.

Paltsev is the deputy director of the MIT Joint Program on the Science and Policy of Global Change.

“I’m afraid the worst is yet to come,” he said. “So hopefully, this is going to bring attention from policymakers and the general public who will push policymakers to do something more to prevent these extreme events in the future.”

As you can see from the article, the main purpose of this diatribe is to stir up the populace so much we demand our politicians enact something akin to the Green New Deal.

Here are the absurd claim made by supposed scientists.

Earth’s average temperature on Wednesday remained at an unofficial record high set the day before, the latest grim milestone in a week that has seen a series of climate-change-driven extremes.

The average global temperature was 17.18 Celsius (62.9 degrees Fahrenheit), according to the University of Maine’s Climate Reanalyzer, a tool that uses satellite data and computer simulations to measure the world’s condition. That matched a record set Tuesday and came after a previous record of 17.01 Celsius (62.6 degrees Fahrenheit) was set Monday.

“It is an opportunity for us to think about how we can reduce our emissions right now and the tools that we have at hand. There are good pieces of understanding that some of the things we can do can make us both resilient to extreme weather like heat waves and flooding and also reduce our emissions at the same time,” said David Sittenfeld, the director of the Center for the Environment at the Museum of Science.

One obvious problem with the updated narrative is that there are no satellite data from 125,000 years ago. Calculated estimates of current temperatures can’t be fairly compared with guesses of global temperature from thousands of years ago.

A more likely alternative to the 62.6-degree estimate is something around 57.5 degrees. The latter is an average of actual surface temperature measurements taken around the world and processed on a minute-by-minute basis by a website called temperature.global. The numbers have been steady this year, with no spike in July.

Moreover, the notion of “average global temperature” is meaningless. Average global temperature is a concept invented by and for the global-warming hypothesis. It is more a political concept than a scientific one. The Earth and its atmosphere is large and diverse, and no place is meaningfully average.

Paulo Ceppi, a climate scientist at London’s Grantham Institute stated: “It hasn’t been this warm since at least 125,000 years ago, which was the previous interglacial.” And, of course, it was reported that it was our fault due to our “sins of emission.”

This didn’t meet the smell test for the scientists at the CO2 Coalition. We know that previous warm periods were warmer than our modern temperatures. For example, during the Roman Warm Period there was citrus being grown in the north of England and barley was grown by Vikings on Greenland 1,000 years ago. Why aren’t they grown there now? It’s quite simple: Lower modern temperatures.

Ring Doorbells, Paper Ballots and Palestinians

Quite a while back I wrote about the Palestinians insisting that they were not bringing arms into a sacred area in one of their mosques but then objecting even more strongly to Israel putting in cameras which would have demonstrated the truth (or falseness) of said contention.

The problem was obvious, you could not allow objective truth to be seen because objective truth was contrary to the assertion that was being made.

A similar thing happened with the election of 2020 in six key counties in swing states, at the same time that the media/left insisted that everything was on the up and up they did everything they could in court to fight these assertions in court on the grounds of standing (rather successfully I might add) rather than simply demonstrate via audits and objective examination of the evidence that the elections were clean to the electorate.

The logical conclusion here being that the objective evidence was not friendly to their assertions.

Which brings me to this story concerning a ring the ring doorbell.

You see the ring camera doesn’t care what your race or religion or the desired narrative of the day is, what it does is show the image of what is actually happening, objective reality.

And while it might be considered a good thing for a homeowner protecting their property or a neighborhood wanting to keep criminals from using it as a stomping ground or even for the mother of boys discourage them from getting into the type of trouble that boys do when they’re young and stupid if you’re trying to sell a narrative based on unreality, well it can be a killer.

So expect a lot of pushback against the ring camera as a sign of white supremacy, not because it’s yet another feed that can be hacked and observed but because it provides a does of truth in an age where the lie is king.
