…if you don’t buy health insurance says the IRS Chief:

Speaking at the National Press Club on Monday, Shulman downplayed the IRS’s role in enforcing the recent overhaul of the health insurance industry by claiming the agency would not aggressively target individuals who don’t purchase coverage. He noted that the health-care bill expressly forbids the agency from freezing bank accounts, seizing assets or pursuing criminal charges, but when pressed said the IRS would most likely use tax refund offsets to penalize those that don’t comply with the mandate. The IRS uses refund offsets to collect from individuals that owe the federal government a delinquent debt.

Tell me that this didn’t take place one week before tax day and while the Tea Party Express is driving across the country.

I’d just LOVE to be the congressman who has to defend attaching people’s refunds, the young who this will hit the hardest will be positively thrilled!

This is one more reason to adjust your withholding. Once you do so take that money and put it in a CD that matures around April 15th of next year. Instead of hoping to see your refund let the government wait for your money.

And you get the interest too!

Stuff like this has an excellent chance of turning 2010 and 2012 into a seminal election and remember in Bart Stupak’s own words we don’t know which democrats voted no only because he gave them cover.

Update: It made Hotair’s headlines.

Update 2: I’m soliciting comments from congressional candidates.

…during a campaign appearance:

“I was going to give a few remarks on the people who were over here a week ago Saturday,” Reid said in a video posted by Fox News anchor Greta Van Susteren, “but I couldn’t find it written all over my hands.

“You betcha,” Reid added to supporters’ laughter, mimicking one of Palin’s trademark slogans.

Did you write that one yourself Sen Reid?

Tell me Harry, how many people did you draw? Stacy McCain puts the number at 100 and points out:

the Hopeless Harry Tour continued on to Las Vegas, where Reid reportedly drew about 1,000 “hard-core Democrats” — at least 2,000 less than the attendance at Ann Coulter’s Vegas speech at the Henderson Pavillion (fixed seating for 2,400, plus lawn seating for up to 1,500).

It’s seems like a giant kabuki theatre, he whistles while his opponents cross the 50% mark in the polls.

I understand that in an election you have to paint an optimistic picture but eventually you just look like a fool. I think we’ve passed the eventually point.

Maybe he needs a fedora?

The Catholic Church is old and dying?

Says who Joe?

In America it is growing, in Africa and Asia it is growing by leaps and bounds.

You know Joe why don’t you come to my church in Fitchburg. I know the city demographics cost us a few but our church was growing when others were failing, and continues to grow.

Why, because we are a “big C” Catholic church. Our School’s enrollment continues to rise and thinks continue to be exciting here.

Ah Joe, the first step to truly being informed is to put down that New York Times.

After enduring attacks by Arianna “I get invited to the right parties” Huffington for his failing as Mayor during what was supposed to be a segment about his endorsement of Marco Rubio in Florida.

He pointed out just how far left Barack Obama is and the camera whet to Eugene Robinson of the Washington Post.

A nice split screen came up with Robinson telling us how much to the center the president is, and Rudy was laughing his head off as he says it.

It looked like me when someone says: “There is no such thing as organized Crime.” anywere near me.

Remember Rudy is not a conservative icon, if you can’t convince Rudy on this one, you can’t convince anyone. The TV ad writes itself.

Update: Robert Stacy has video of the Arianna stuff but not the Eugene Robinson stuff.
