Liberals say the darndest things on social media

Just like most Conservatives and Libertarians who post regularly on social media, I have been bullied and harassed by my progressive friends constantly.  These tedious verbal assaults prove that the political left is a vast top-down echo chamber where reality is frowned upon. For this article I have complied a list of the most common or most absurd comments that my progressive friends have tortured me with over the years.

Just because I was celebrating the fact that Planned Parenthood funding will most likely be on the Department of Government Efficiency chopping block a liberal friend decided to chronicle every single gynecological issue her and her family ever had. She claimed falsely that poor women all across this country would die if Planned Parenthood did not receive funding because that is the only place they get care.  She also repeated the lie over and over again that women in red states are dying because gynecological care was banned by pro-life laws. 

My liberal friends get incensed every time I post the fundamental truth that abortion is murder.  I get bombarded with absurd comments claiming that unborn children are not alive. I often get called a science denier.  Oh the irony. 

One liberal friend informed me that only certain religious sects maintain that unborn children are a vessel for life.  That same friend told me repeatedly that that religion must be kept out of politics.   I found that statement to be rather absurd on several levels. 

Our entire legal system was based on Judean Christian principles.  If you divorce religious morality from government, you get atrocities such as the holocaust and all of the mass slaughters that occurred under communism.

The separation of church and state is a myth.  The Establishment Clause of the First Amendment only prevents the United States from declaring an official State Religion.  It does not prevent individuals from governing according to religious beliefs.  That is actually protected by the Free Exercise of Religion Clause of the First Amendment.

That Didn’t Take Long

As we’ve been noting for a bit the world is treating Donald Trump as if he was already president. He said this about Syria yesterday:

Syria is a mess, but is not our friend, & THE UNITED STATES SHOULD HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. THIS IS NOT OUR FIGHT. LET IT PLAY OUT. DO NOT GET INVOLVED!

Less than 24 hour later the Biden Administration does this:

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) launched a series of precision airstrikes against ISIS in central Syria this Sunday.

The operation, which allegedly targeted key ISIS camps and operatives, comes at a critical juncture as the embattled regime of Bashar Assad teeters on the brink of collapse.

I can’t say if this was justified or not but I find the timing….interesting

December 8 is International Pundit Day

Every day is well, a day.

Except for prominent dates on the calendar, Christmas and New Year’s Day come to mind, there is an official day–although I am unaware of any sanctioning organization–for every day of the year.

Perhaps I am wrong. Because there is NationalToday.com. 

For instance, according to that austere body, February 11 is National Guitar Day and June 26 is National Canoe Day. 

Most notoriously, September 19 is International Talk Like a Pirate Day.

Our 365 calendar–or 366, since this is a Leap Year–can digest one more “day.”

Today, I officially declare, December 8, as International Pundit Day. NationalToday.com, please take note.

A pundit, according to Merriam-Webster, is “a person who gives opinions in an authoritative manner usually through the mass media.” It is one of the few words in the English language that comes from Hindi.

In the early 2000s, many blogs, most notably Instapundit and Gateway Pundit, appeared on the political radar. And yes, to a lesser extent, my own Marathon Pundit.

Blogging has become mainstream since then, as have podcasts.

Yes, podcasters are pundits too.

Why December 8? Well, why not?

But if you need reasons, December 8 is Ann Coulter’s birthday. As you probably know, she’s a noted opinion columnist, and yes, pundit.

And it’s my birthday too.

Say it loud and say it now, I’m a pundit and I’m proud.

And if you are not a pundit yet, you can begin now.

And if you know a pundit, say “thank you!”

And now is the time in Pundit Land when we dance!

There were a lot of parables that Jesus told during his time teaching on earth. One of the most important ones is often ignored. It’s about prudence.

Which of you wishing to construct a tower does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if there is enough for its completion? Otherwise, after laying the foundation and finding himself unable to finish the work the onlookers should laugh at him and say, ‘This one began to build but did not have the resources to finish.’

Or what king marching into battle would not first sit down and decide whether with ten thousand troops he can successfully oppose another king advancing upon him with twenty thousand troops? But if not, while he is still far away, he will send a delegation to ask for peace terms.

It Translates thus:

Assad is another Arab dictator who has not learned from history. There is not a single dictator who has learned from history. The tragic thing is that the dictator falls and the state collapses and disintegrates, chaos spreads and overthrows, because the dictator creates a state of paper, and an authority of straw, based on oppression and repression. He crushes any alternatives or civil opposition, and then the terrorists come and crush him and crush everything. Syria is on its way to another Libya, another Taliban, or another Turkish-Brotherhood hegemony, but it will not return to the first Syria.

This is spot on. It’s a mess and it’s going to be messier. You know who also sees things in Syria as they are? Donald Trump:

The evaluation of Russia’s situation is good but what’s even better is his declaration that the United States should not get involved in that fight.

It’s not our mess and all that will happen if we get involved in it will be a lot of money and dead Americans for no return.

The good news is that in 43 days we’ll have a president who understands this.

The bad news is that until then we don’t know what the people who are currently running the country will do. I would not put it past them to try to get us in this mess just to mess up Trump.
