A Democratic congressman compare republicans to Nazi’s and refuse to apologize at first then finally did.

A liberal talkshow host made oral sex jokes concerning the Republican Female Lt. gov of Wisconsin on the air.

A second lib talker fantasized on air about murdering Rush Limbaugh.

and on the Joy Behar show Sarah Palin was referred to as a Nazi and blamed her for the Tucson Massacre

We could go on but it’s kinda late as I’m writing this.

As Jim Treacher says “This ‘New Tone’ sounds a lot like the old one.”

Stacy McCain wrote about the Florida killings in the American spectator yesterday, there is a quote at the end that is worth repeating:

Duke’s Facebook page quoted a statement that Tea Party Leader Sarah Palin recently made to Fox News: “There’s political warfare, all right, and it’s the Washington political class, the liberal class, that’s making war, and they’re winning.” On his Facebook page, Duke also described his religion as “traditional Christian” and referred visitors to the Web site, The Tea Party Mind.

It’s a real shock that today on Morning Joe that this person was not mentioned and what had apparently radicalized him not condemned. That’s likely because that is not what the paragraph actually said. Here is the real paragraph with the bold italic words replaced with what was actually written:

Duke’s Facebook page quoted a statement that investor Warren Buffett recently made to Ben Stein: “There’s class warfare, all right, but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning.” On his Facebook page, Duke also described his religion as “humanist” and referred visitors to the Web site, The Progressive Mind.

I am more than willing to concede that this man is a lone nut and I’m not willing to blame Claire “take up the pitchforks” McCaskill et/al for his actions, but imagine what the media coverage would have been if this guys statement has been the first paragraph rather than the second.

One final note from McCain’s blog:

Checking SiteMeter just now, I’m getting a lot of Google search traffic based on the simplicity of the title, but I’ve also gotten at least one visitor who was searching for “Clay Duke connected to Tea Party.”

Nope nothing to see here. Nothing to see here either.

The Eu and the fools who decided to give up their identities for the sake of what in my opinion amounts to a Franco German alliance sphere and the ability of a lot of elites to get themselves voted comfortable lives paid for by the citizenry, are in a panic.

As the Economic situation gets worse and worse and bailout after bailout is discussed the once invincible Euro zone is showing the inevitable cracks that such foolishness brings, to wit:

But look at your response to them: what they are being told as their government is collapsing is that it would be inappropriate for them to have a general election. In fact [EU Economic and Monetary Affairs] Commissioner [Olli] Rehn here said they had to agree to their budget first before they are allowed to have a general election.

Just who the hell do you think you people are? You are very, very dangerous people indeed: your obsession with creating this euro state means that you are happy to destroy democracy, you appear to be happy with millions and millions of people to be unemployed and to be poor.

Untold millions must suffer so that your euro dream can continue. Well it won’t work, because it’s Portugal next. With their debt levels of 325 percent of GDP they are the next ones on the list, and after that I suspect it will be Spain, and the bailout for Spain would be 7 times the size of Ireland, and at that moment all the bailout money has gone – there won’t be any more.

These people must be getting nervous because they have reached the point where they are escorting people out of the chamber because a Mr. Schultz’s feelings were hurt.

Nobody likes to be called a fascist but apparently Mr. Schultz and the folk who support him have a much thinner skin than those who they oppose as pointed out by Daniel Hannan in the Telegraph:

Several aspects of this episode should alarm us. First, there is the democratic objection. Surely it is up to the electorate to decide who sits in a legislature. If Bloom can be denied his place by his fellow MEPs, what is to stop the federalist majority voting to expel every Eurosceptic?

Then there is the liberal objection. In a free society, the right to say what you will trumps the right not to be offended. We should allow people to be ignorant, ill-mannered, obnoxious; to condemn themselves by their boorishness.

Above all, though, there is the sheer one-sidedness. I’ve blogged before about the way in which Euro-integrationists routinely dismiss their opponents as Nazis. The leader of the European Liberals, Graham Watson, has said that Eurosceptics put him in mind of “the National Socialists in the German Reichstag”. In the run-up to the French referendum on the European Constitution, Margot Wallström, then Sweden’s Commissioner, travelled to the Theresiendstadt concentration camp to and told “No” voters that this was where their ideology would lead. Only last week, Herman Van Rompuy, the Euro-President, said “we have together to fight the danger of a new Euro-scepticism. Fear leads to egoism, egoism leads to nationalism, and nationalism leads to war”.

Yet they still sit in fact check out this clip where that same Mr. Schultz throws out the “fascist” label against a person who makes the unforgivable sin of asking for the financial books to be opened.

Bottom line, when bloated dictatorships and or bureaucracies she their power and privileges start to slip away they tend to get angrier and panic ridden and more oppressive. As Andrew Stutterford says at NRO:

But then the EU parliament is not about freedom. Never has been. Never will be.

Indeed. Via Sissy Willis on Twitter

Update: Cubachi comments:

If anything, I want to thank Mr. Bloom for sticking to his principles and proving once and for all, the pathetic nature of the European Union. If only this socialist wet dream can be thrown in the dustbin of history. I think this can be the beginning of the end of the UK’s membership.

Exactly

There was a big ta doo about a piece of “art” in Colorado that depicts Christ giving someone a BJ:

Many turned out in support of the piece and the Museum/Gallery. Some supporters of the art wore white patches on their chests that read: “Censored?”.

Well we aren’t going to take down this, this is ART, we aren’t going to be intimidated by those intolerant Christians

Nearby in the city of Denver, where residents are known for their liberal leanings, residents were more receptive to the artwork.

Denver resident Carol Ware called the piece “provocative and thought-provoking.” She added, however, that she would not want the artwork in her own living room.

Perhaps not surprisingly, the Los Angeles Times weighed in on the debate, celebrating Chagoya’s controversial techniques and labeling him a respected artist. Of the provocative works of art he has created are pieces attacking President George W. Bush, Condoleeza Rice, and former California Governor Pete Wilson.

The obvious question has been asked

Field asked if Chagoya’s artwork would be accepted if it depicted the prophet Mohammed in the same poses. “There have been examples in the past of anti-Mohammed artwork. The Muslim community has been outraged-and rightly so-but there’s also been different actions taken against the artists.”

Funny you should mention that via Rhymes With Right:

Of course, there is a way to get this exhibit shut down immediately, the artwork destroyed, and the artist killed. Point out that the following is a part of the same work of art.

The image he is referring to is Mohammed kneeling before transvestite pigs, and lo and behold what has suddenly happened?

They seem to have scrubbed the site

Now here is the question. They did not scrub the site until someone pointed out the Mohammad image. I wonder what the art gallery has to say about that. Maybe I’ll give them a call later today.

Update: Don Surber has updated his post

Well via Memeorandum Newshounds is on the case:

Whenever the persecuted Christian right gets their pure white panties in a bunch about how evil libruls are disrespectful to Christianity, they frequently claim that these same libruls show deference to Islam when it comes to depicting images of Mohammed. The phrase, taken from a book, that “anti-Catholicism is the last acceptable prejudice” is bandied about by right wing Christians and Catholics. The absurdity of this position is demonstrated by the reality that the right wing, aided and abetted by Fox “News,” promotes prejudice against a number of groups deemed anathema – particularly atheists (atheist bus signs, “war on God”) and Islam. In addition to absurdity, there is also a double standard. When the evil, librul ACLU challenges a possible violation of the “Establishment Clause,” Jesus’ BFF’s claim that their First Amendment rights are being violated – yet, when artwork, that Christians don’t like, is presented, they’re all for censorship. And that’s when the comment about how liberals are more tolerant of Islam comes into play, as demonstrated by good Catholic Brian Kilmeade who, along with his Christian “friend’ Gretchen Carlson, is concerned about some artwork that their fellow good Christians are vaclempt about. It’s not a surprise that the morning Christian culture club would be “on” this issue as, earlier this year, they attacked a gallery owner over “sacrilegious” art in which a nun (not, as Gretchen Carlson said, the Virgin Mary) was depicted holding a pink rifle. There’s more irony in that this is the same krewe that supports Christian crosses on public land and bible verses on rifles. Go figure.

The big irony is of course they have a link to the site, which has now pulled the “art” since the Mohammad part of the cartoon is getting publicity. Read the self righteous comments I’ve left one of my own, not approved yet:

I note the same artwork also displays Mohammad kneeling before transvestite pigs, so I am assuming all the commentators on this tread and the writer are all cool with this too.

That being the case I presume I can send the link to American Muslim groups since we know how tolerant of dissent they are.

I’ll let you know if it goes up and if the comment thread is scrubbed.

Left a message at Shark’s ink the site that scrubbed the print once the Mohammad connection came up, I’ll let you know what they say.

Update 2: They are much too busy to allow my comments at Newshounds

Update 3 Shark Ink has not returned calls. I called the Loveland Museum and spoke to a very nice young lady who briefly informed me there is no additional security because of the drawing of Mohammad. The people taking calls are flat out and the employees are pretty occupied. I left a callback number but was told due to the situation they couldn’t guarantee it would be returned.
