Finallizing Ga-4 I’m going

I’m checking the finances. I’ve raised enough to pay for the plane ticket and my pal Vinnie has already told me he would put me up for a week. With my first payment from Examiner.com I’m a tad short on the rental car and meals. I’ll see what I can do in terms of cutting costs but I’ve decided that since I can cover the basic costs I’m going to go.

I’ve finalized the trip and purchased the tickets. I’ll be getting there Sunday afternoon and leaving the following Saturday afternoon. I’m trying to get the details of my actual itinerary while I’m down there over the next day or two and arrange for a ride to the airport.

Normally as a conservative I wouldn’t go on the trip without making my price but I’m considering this an investment in persuasion. Can I persuade enough readers that this blog is worth a few dollars? This trip will hopefully help to do just that.

Of course if you want to kick in to DaTipJar I will certainly be grateful.

What a difference a few decades makes.

As for the GA-4 trip that she is alluding to I’m hoping to leave by the end of this week or the beginning of next week. I have a few details yet to work out yet. The funding is still a tad short. I’m still $830 away from my stated goal, but there are two options on this.

If you want to kick in for that trip, then by all means hit DaTipJar today and that will help me cover the expense.

If not I am planning something that I will be discussing in just under two weeks. If you want to hold out for that it is ok too. If you choose to hold out than consider my GA-4 coverage an advance to you on my part.

PA-12 is out but GA-4 gets a slight boost $830 to go

As it is already Friday and there is only 4 days left before the Election in PA i’ve concluded that PA-12 will have to do without the presence of a Sicilian in a Fedora. Lucky for Tim Burns he had a much more popular visitor from Massachusetts and Robert Stacy provided the Fedora. Hopefully it will be enough.

Meanwhile My plans For Ga-4 have not yet fallen through. The contributor to Pa-12 agreed to apply his gift to Ga-4 putting me $830 away from my initial goal.

Well there is still a week to make up as much of that as I can. If you think some coverage in GA-4 would be worthwhile and would like to help me get there, hit DaTipJar and get me closer to the prize.

This morning it is really interesting to see the level of coincidence yesterday.

First of all because I had failed to raise the money to get to Pa-12 I was in Fitchburg instead of being on the road.

Because of this I went to morning Mass for Ascension Thursday.

Because of this I ran into my 80 something godfather.

Because of this I was able to invite him to breakfast with my mother and myself.

He ended up going to the wrong diner, because of this I had to go get him.

Because of this I saw the sign at J & R glass concerning the Governor’s visit.

Because of this after breakfast I headed down there to report on it.

Because of this I heard about the cancellation and the terror arrests

and because of that I have the photos and stories that you read yesterday.

The moral of the story? When you attend Mass on a holy day of obligation, good things happen!
