A clip was played from Ann Curry’s interview with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Morning Joe today. When asked if what he said means that Iran will not weaponize their nukes, he answers saying they don’t need it leading to the following exchange:

So does that mean your answer is no?

What do you mean by “No”? (That might not be exact when they play the clip again I’ll make sure to make it so.)

Curry then actually asks him if this is his final answer. She actually uses that phraseology.

The Irony of all of this is simply amazing. What was the truth last time when a president asked what the meaning of a simple word means?

I’m feeling better and better about this decision now.

Update: They didn’t replay the clip, I’m sure it will turn up somewhere.

Sept 16: The Daily Dish

The pioneer of the anti-Jihadist blog, Little Green Footballs, is repulsed by some of the developments on the populist, racist right. He’s right to be; and has the courage to say so. For that he is subjected to the usual mau-mauing. Check out his blog. It’s an Yglesias Award in motion

LGF Feb 17th:

There’s nothing like a left-handed compliment from Andrew Sullivan to totally creep you out.

The Daily Dish Dec 8 2008:

LGF and Michelle Malkin are gleeful because I called Andrew out over the Palin baby rumors, but I can’t imagine that either blog would ever allow this type of open debate.

LGF Dec 9th 2008:

http:/The key word in his response is “imagine,” because he apparently has an imaginary LGF in mind.

But “debating” a loony conspiracy theory? Hey, the Daily Dish has lots of that!

LGF April 5 2008:

Not a shred of the post-9/11 Sullivan remains; all that’s left is a rhetoric-spewing empty shill for “progressive” causes.

And finally July 1st 2006 lgf

Andrew Sullivan’s struggle with raging Bush Derangement Syndrome is over, and BDS won. He’s now become indistinguishable from Daily Kos

By the Lydia theory this poses trouble for the his blog.

I’m still hoping for an El-Cid ending to all of this with Charles in the role of Prince Alfonso.

…No not that one. This one. (Embed doesn’t work):

Lets quote the huff po from that post while it’s still up:

He also spoke with Liz Shaw, a conservative Christian community organizer who says the mockery of her profession at the Republican National Convention led her to organize for Barack Obama. But Matthew Vadum of the Capital Research Center reminds viewers that community organizing of any kind is a gateway-job into crack dealing. Watch:

Yeah you dumb guys at Capital Research Center. Don’t you know the difference between Crack dealing and underage prostitution, tax evasion and illegal alien smuggling?

And remember TPM Cafe. Bertha Lewis wasn’t just Acorn’s Bertha Lewis she was

our very own Bertha Lewis

I wonder if she’ll give John Oliver a new interview?

More memories:

Liberals 2007:

Sorry, Occams razor may work for us, but full and public statement from both the father and mother ain’t good enough for Mickey Kaus. He’s gonna need a full gynecolgical exam from Ms. Hunter in the Slate lobby, pronto.

Liberals 2008:

Would a 44-year-old woman with four kids out of diapers, embarking on her first governorship, really get pregnant? Or would a 17-year-old, living in a small Alaska town with conservative parents who didn’t tell her about condoms, starting fooling around and accidentally get knocked up?

Andrew Sullivan 2009
:

It remains true that no one in the MSM will investigate the details of this truly bizarre story – and MSM journalists instead have devoted their efforts to demonizing any journalist who tries.

Well you can’t blame Andrew and the left, after all they know real family values when they see them:

Elizabeth Edwards is a truly remarkable human being. And her marriage is an inspiration.

You know if I was a Conservatives for Palin writer I would link this post and if I’m ever feeling down and just re-read it.
