Newsbusters notices something missing concerning a shooting in Minnesota:

We have a shooting incident in Minnesota perpetrated by three Muslim Somali immigrants but for some reason almost every single media report about the incident omits the names of the shooters, names of obvious North African origin. So, the question is, did the Old Media in Minnesota purposefully leave the names unreported so that they could cover up the fact that the criminals were Somali immigrants? And, if so, why would they do this?

How about that!

I was surprised to see a booth for Catholic’s United. The whole conference seemed very orthodox and I wouldn’t think Soros’ boys would be there. Several other groups were rather surprised to see them there too.

I actively searched for a delegation from Anna Maria College. Considering the exchange we had I expected to see either a booth, or a delegation or the president himself in attendance. If the goal is to recruit believing Catholics to the school I would think it would be a good move. There were 1000 men there so I might have missed him but if he was there I didn’t spot him.

…or he might hear some trouble over this:

The government of Rio de Janeiro is building concrete walls to prevent sprawling slums from spreading farther into the picturesque hills of this world-famous tourist destination, an official said on Saturday.

Construction has begun in two favelas, or shantytowns, in the southern districts of Rio de Janeiro, a government spokeswoman told Reuters. One of the two is Morro Dona Marta, which police occupied in November to control crime and violence caused mostly by rival drug gangs.

Officials say the wall is to protect the remaining native forest but critics fear the move could be seen as discriminatory and become a blemish symbolizing Brazil’s deep divisions between rich and poor.

What I think is behind this is ceeding an area of the city to the mobs and gangs rather than risking police and services. Eventually you will see a Mafia type feudal society that collects tribute and provides “services” in return for loyality.

This is the natural end result of the mirror image crimes of ignoring social ills and not opposing violent crime. In my opinion it is exactly the type of society the leaders of the small group of marchers in Oakland would like to see, with their groups playing the role of the lord of the manor.

I can’t do better than this

Via Father Z this funny little clip really hits the nail on the head over a lot of our pseudo catholic friends in both church and in clergy.

BTW if you are a fan of the old Adventures of Robin Hood series you will recognize Paul Eddington who played Will Scarlett in season four and just about anyone and everyone else in seasons 1-3.

Nigel Hawthorne of course stared in the fantastic movie The Madness of King George.

UPDATE: Welcome Red State readers, take a peek around. Laugh at the assumptions of the Sudan government, find out about the Worcester Catholic Men’s conference, who was there and who wasn’t, Discover when a wall isn’t racist, learn more about what popular demand can bring, and read about a real live soviet apologist on Morning Joe.

And if you need remote computer tech support I do that too!
