this article by David Frum shows that one some issues he still gets it.

The Peace process is long on process and short on peace, we are best to stay out of it, why? Because there will be no peace until the Arabs decide that they no longer want to kill rocket or blow up Jews. As soon as that happens peace will take place. Until then it all you have are various pols trying to make themselves look good.

that John Mearsheimer et/all keep making. This whole argument ignores that Syria, Lebanon, the Gaza strip, Saudi Arabia and the areas et/all are practically Judenrein.

How is it that Israel is an Apartheid state when Arabs serve in parliament, have the vote, have the protection of the law and have more rights than Arabs in any of the areas that I’ve just listed?

Even more importantly: How does a “reputable” scholar make such an argument with a straight face?

I’ll tell you something. As you know My D-Day is getting closer and closer and between DaTipJar, Have Fedora will Travel, The Ga-4 trip idea, and the Dinner With DaTechGuy stuff, I haven’t closed the gap that will come when week 99 hits.

I’d bet you real money that if I was willing to flip on Israel I’d be amazed at the opportunities that might suddenly arise in the field of writing, blogging and commentary. It wouldn’t shock me if the tip jar was regularly filled and the financial pressures upon me and mine were slowly relieved.

All I would have to do is forget, and rationalize a few basic facts…

…I think not.

Morning Joe on Israel today

Yesterday they brought in someone to “counterbalance” the mayor of Jerusalem when he was on. Today they bring in Zbigniew Brzezinski AND Pat to critique.

You think they might have found a single person who might be on the side of Israel to appear? Apparently not.

Joe & Mika where are you?

Update:
Mika’s dad on National TV just mentioned the Soviets shooting hundreds of thousands of people in their own country in 1937. The panel was silent. It was as if it was the first time that somebody on a non-fox network pointed out the soviets were mass murderers. The silence of the rest of the panel was VERY LOUD. He then compares the Soviet denial of Katyn to Holocaust denial in front of Pat. Priceless. It’s Morning Joe’s David Souter moment an unexpected result that MSNBC would not have predicted.

Interesting they have the mayor of Jerusalem on Morning Joe right now but they have also brought Fred Kempe to apparently “counterbalance” him.

Anyone who is talking about 1967 borders is not someone to be taken seriously.

Kempe and Pat are doubling teaming him, this guy doesn’t shake.

The Arab rights stuff is very funny when Arabs are treated better within Israel than in the Arab world while Arab areas are Judenrein. Why is that question never asked on these shows?
